After watching the video by Joshua, there were no problems. Many handy tips - thank you. The Venus Moka Pot makes a cup of coffee that is exactly how I want it. Only one warning, when cleaning the pot, do be careful as the inner edge is a bit sharp and can cut you.

Visitors from overseas came to see how we live here in Australia after more than35 years. I had a 4 cup but now we were with 8 . I quickly ordered the 10 cup and made a good brew with good coffee of course! The Bialetti worked perfectly and I was impressed with the 10 cup as I am with the 4 cup.

Inside base came rusted, good quality stainless steel should not rust. Extremely disappointed that Bialetti or AlternativeBrewing would sell these products, this is my 3rd attempt from different stores trying to find a good quality Bialetti but all 3 made in China have poor quality and show signs of rust. I hope AlternativeBrewing inspects products before shipping to customers in the feature. waited two weeks for this item just to be disappointed.
Great colour, not as bright bronze (more subtle) as it looks in the photo which i prefer. The quality is also excellent, is sturdy, well constructed, quality materials used. I love it - super cute. Perfect size for 1-2 people. The bronze part does discolour a bit when heated up (temporary discolouration not permanent) and absorbs finger prints so it doesn't look "sparkling" new after use, like when it came out of the box. Just means you have to wipe it down and take care of it if you want that shiny, pristine look.
I needed to replace my old electric (ceramic) cooktop coffeemaker as it had developed a pinhole leak at the base. I found this site and after a few on-line questions re suitable size (just me) I landed on the Bialetti Venus Moka Pot (2 cup - non -induction). I enquired about the non - induction label and that was explained so i went ahead and made the purchase quite a few months ago.My issue is this coffee maker takes forever to brew... and i mean forever (you could mow a lawn!). On closer examination i have found there is a distinct protruding pronounced ring around the perimeter of the base which prevents the whole base sitting on the ceramic cooktop...... this is why it takes forever. We recently headed away camping and the bialetti venus moka pot was the perfect piece of gear for our needs.Paired with a bellman stovetop steamer, we had the best campfire lattes i could have hoped for.We gave the venus a fair workout and it performed exceptionally.

I bought a Bialetti Venus Moka Pot, 10-cup, online from Alternative Brewing. I realised I had forgotten how real coffee was supposed to taste! No foam left in your cup either, as with capsules. It took me back to the years when I used to percolate coffee, and am now wondering why I ever moved over to 'convenient' capsules. This one takes 2.5 mugs, normal Aussie size, and probably 10 expresso cups, as it states on the info sheet. This means my hubby can join me in a cup, and I don't have to make a special cup for each of us. my new 4 cup bialetti, at first it looked like the funnel was too small for my favourite water/coffee ratios and also both chambers bigger than my old same size funnel 3 cup moka pot with smaller chambers. surprisingly when I filled my new bialetti’s funnel with ground coffee it took half a tea spoon more than my old one so it worked for me.
my way to make cappuccino is to make strong espresso. strong espresso means minimum water maximum coffee (but not too much). before this buy I had 3 cup another brand espresso maker and it made me stronger espresso. they have the same basket size. but the chambers of my newly bought stainless Bialetti are bigger: upper chamber is really big and also lower chamber is lil.bigger too) for the same basket size, this means that I will have watery espresso for my taste.That is not only problem:my hubby likes big cup of espresso for which I put 2tbl spoons of ground coffee but it is still not enough to fill whole his cap when served.
