Billingtons Golden Caster Sugar 1000g

I personally try to minimise intake of refined sugar, that Id add organic honey to tea and maple syrup to coffee too though, adding more liquid might change a baking recipe, so used this organic golden caster for baking sponge cakes and Im happy with the result. British cake flour tends to be heavier than French T45 or Japanese Hakurikiko cake flour, so replacing granulated sugar to be this finer golden caster sugar helped for lighter fluffier sponge cakes with lovely deep-mellow sweetness without being dense and grainy like golden dreams of baking heaven!

I love this suger. It taste better than other sugers. It's great for baking cakes and biscuits. My daughter loves it in her tea. It's definitely the best money can buy. It arrived quickly. All is good.

Ocado sent me a free sample of this product in return for a review. This is fantastic sugar. We don't normally splurge on caster sugar, however we do a lot of home baking, and I admit this sugar has been fab. It has a nice rich flavour without going into heavy brown sugar territory. It's a bit expensive but I will consider buying it more regularly for baking cakes, pastries and sweeter breads, like raisin bread. It's probably great in tea and even white/wholemeal bread bakes, but I'd rather hold it back and save it for sweeties!
