I have used the original Bio Oil that is oil based for years but only thing I didn't enjoy about it was the fact that it was an oil based product. Sometimes it could get way too oily and uncomfortable on the skin. But when I tried this gel based version boy was I impressed! It's incredibly lightweight and has the same subtle fragrance but in a much better texture. Product is absorbed quickly into the skin and leaves skin feeling extremely moisturised without any oily feeling. I started using it on my cuticles and as a hand cream and I'm sold. Even after washing your hands the product still remains on without washing of its moisturising properties. And after a week I noticed a significant change in the condition of my hands and feet. Don't think it's very travel friendly as the gel moves around and gets stuck on the cap and upon opening the product gets everywhere. Maybe a tube would be much better. Product and quality wise it's on par (if not better!) with very expensive ones available in the market. Definitely a holy grail product for me from now on!

It's very fortuitous that I received a complimentary unit of BioOil gel from TryAndReview when I was contemplating to buy it for my eczema condition. Being odorless and the gel a pleasant pinkish hue I was initially optimistic about it since I am largely averse to applying topical ointments due to discomforts caused when I sweat. However after a few applications from the complimentary test unit its oily texture put me off as my skin felt suffocated unless I was in air-conditioned environments and it further aggravated my eczema inflammation when sweating after being applied at non-bedtime hours. It's not to say this is a bad product. Everyone reacts differently whereby others have benefitted from it but unfortunately this product didnt suit my skin. I received the package in good condition and well-packed. Thanks. I've used the oil for a long time. This is the first time getting the gel. It's thick so need to use only a little. Great for very dry skin. Spreads evenly. Smells nice. I'm happy with this product.

My dry skin feels a little plump everytime i wakes up in the morning. BUT! I noticed my pores getting bigger and i have more pimples. Great product from Bio Oil! Bio oil skin gel helps people having dry skin like me. It helps to moisture my skin by protecting the skin’s outer layer and keeping my skin hydrated. I have previously used bio oil and was very impressed with it however I found it frustrating that it was so oily thus it became a time consuming product to apply and this lead me to put of using it resulting in me applying it less frequently. This different new version is a welcome change for me. I have a few areas that are prone to dry skin such as my ankles, hands and knees. This happens all year round. This product was easy to apply as it is a gel, not a runny liquid so a lot 'cleaner'. It initially feels quite oily however when moisturised in to the area it is absorbed much more quickly than the original bio oil and leaves no greasy residue. It has no strong scent and caused my skin no irritation. It comes in various sizes of tubs and thus is easily transportable if going on holiday or in a handbag. Magic “oil”

I vastly prefer oils to creams and this gel to oil is a miracle. Easy to apply and very nourishing while feeling light. I also use Nux dry oil and this gel bio-oil either does not dry/soak in as quickly or I tend to apply more of it. I love them both, but tend to not apply the bio-oil immediately before dressing and running out the door.

Soft and Supple

I have been using bio oil for the last two years mainly on my leg where I have a large scar where I broke my leg and had surgery twice to repair but was finding it now a little oily if that makes sense! so I am now using Bio Oil dry skin gel which I love, I use this all over my body even my feet! no where near as oily as the Bio Oil itself which I still use on my scars, It makes my skin feel soft and supple and you only need a small amount, I will continue to use this I think its great.

Like other reviewers I agree that this product leaves a greasy residue but it has been a MIRACLE worker in getting that horrible black/grey square of glue left when you take off your HRT patch..who knew?! I use it just for this - spread across the removed spot and rub into the glue left behind. Leave for a few minutes then wipe the oil and the glue away...dont scrub..the glue will come off so much more easily. Its stopped me looking like a builders front windscreen with its left over parking tickets! :) You're welcome x
