The best method is to use Biolage’s moisturizing conditioner after the shampoo, then turn the water as cold as you can handle and rinse for 30 seconds. Then apply the Deep conditioning treatment and let soak for as long as possible. Rinse again with cold water. Let hair dry until damp, then work in the Biolage Leave in conditioner liberally. Gently brush it out and finish by either air drying until damp or blowing out your hair. While damp I braided it (or used a no-heat curling method) and left it overnight (by far my favorite method). Once a week double up on the deep conditioning treatment and the leave in. You will wake up with beautiful waves or curls that are high shine and glossy while remaining soft to the touch and much more manageable. If you have to pick two out of the four make your selection based off of your hair type. If you have hair like mine go for the conditioner and a treatment. If you have thick hair that is dry and lifeless I would get the shampoo and one of the Treatments.

I have thick, course hair that is very long (below my butt) and it can get crispy dry in the winter. I'm going to start by saying I would rate this actual conditioner 3 stars. It has a good consistency and spreads well through my long hair. It also smells amazing with the signature Biolage scent. Unfortunately (and the reason for 3 stars) is that it never seems to rinse out completely and my hair always feels sort of heavy and coated even after it dries. I find there's a fine line between moisturized hair and greasy hair and this is on the wrong side for me. I actually preferred the Detangling Solution for Dry Hair because, while the texture feels similar during application, it rinses much more cleanly and doesn't leave my hair feeling so heavy and greasy. My hair was pretty easy to brush wet or dry with either one so I can't say either was actually better at detangling. All that said - I'm knocking another star off because I looked all over the internet as well as emailed AND called the company to ask them if their Palm Oil is sustainably and ethically sourced and they completely ignored me. I waited ages to write these reviews because I was hoping for a reply but it's been 2 weeks and I've heard nothing back. Because Palm Oil causes massive deforestation I would never support a company who uses anything but sustainable sources and wouldn't buy this product. Will update if I hear back from them but I'm doubtful. **I did hear back from Biolage and they do use sustainable Palm Oil so changing my review to 3 stars for the actual conditioner! Here's the reply: Thank you for contacting Biolage. Since 2010, 100% of our palm oil purchases are certified through RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) standards.

If you have long and/or dry hair, you need this conditioner! I have an oily scalp, but my hair is long, past my butt, so the mids-ends get pretty dry. As you can see from the photo, I've gone through quite a bit of this conditioner. I use it every wash. It has great slip and leaves my hair tangle-free and super soft! I never recommend only using conditioner, a leave-in conditioner and a hair oil are very important for maintaining soft, conditioned, healthy hair. Especially if it's long, dry, or damaged. But a good conditioner, like this one, is a great start! Highly recommend!

Best Conditioner

I have been using Biolage Conditioning Balm for years. It makes a difference in my hair. I had already been using it for years when a professional hair stylist told me that it was the best thing I could do for my hair. He said it was the best product out there. I like to buy the largest I can get even though it is expensive. It lasts a long time, so the price is worth it. You only need a little, unlike some other brands. I have long hair and still only use a small amount. Great product.

Best at controlling frizz and curls

I’ve been using this product for over 20 years now. Started when I was perming my hair and my stylist recommended it. Although the formula has changed over the years, it’s still is one of the best conditioners for my hair. I’ve even turned my daughters onto it and they both love it. You only need a small amount, and it always maintains my hair silky smooth, non frizzy and non-oily as long as you don’t use a lot of it. Over the years I’ve always colored my hair, weaved, permed, etc and it still works best with any treatment. It only comes in one size, so my only con would be I wish they would have a smaller size for travel. I have straight to slight wavy hair medium to long length.

To start, my hair is extremely healthy. My natural color is silver/gray. I don't use any color/dye. I normally do not use conditioner.Due to our hard water, I had a malibu done, and was told to use a non-protein, deep conditioner after. This was the product recommended.I must say I was shocked at how well this worked! It did not leave my hair greasy looking, which is one of the reasons I rarely use conditioner. The scent is not overpowering. It truly did the job it was supposed to do.

I am so disappointed!!

I wrote a review for the matching shampoo as well but I have been a loyal customer to this specific line of hydrasource shampoo and conditioner for 10 years. I have no idea what the heck Biolage did but the formulas have definitely changed. They keep telling people nothing has changed with formula and it's just packaging but that is not correct because my hair has always looked so soft and hydrated. Now after purchasing in the new packaging my wavy hair is so limp and dried out and my scalp hurts and is very itchy. I am not sure what to even try next since I used these products faithfully but it is such a disappointment that they would mess with products that had so many loyal customers. My “go-to” conditioner-unbelievable Walmart price

Would give more than 5* if I could

Absolutely beautiful shampoo, conditioner and blow dry lotion. Yes, it’s quite expensive, more than I would usually pay!! But I don’t think I will ever use the cheaper options again. My hair feels like silk, even after 1st use. My hairdresser even noticed straight away!! I don’t have the little fly aways, that look like frizz on the top of my head. My hair is in hugely better condition! Can’t rate this enough!!

First off, idk if biolage seals their products (doupt it), but this was not sealed.I remember biolage being one of my favorite products to use on my hair. I only was able to purchase it so often as it was a bit out of my range as a teenager, but I enjoyed their products.Idk if biolage changed their ingredients, but I really did not like this product, nor did I like the shampoo that I purchased from another retailer.
