These are outstanding beans substantially better than anything tinned. I eat them with a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkling of salt.

I received these beans for review from Ocado. Whilst better than the canned varieties, they were also not in the same league as Brindisa, for instance. We found the appearance of the beans rather unappetising but the taste was good, if somewhat mushy in texture. The addition of lentils to a product branded as mixed bean, although not unpleasant, is is a little odd.

I bought these as I wanted some beans that were not only organic but also came in a glass jar. These did not disappoint and have a lovely mix of beans. After reading previous reviews,we washed them well beforehand to get rid of any salt which worked a treat

Received this sample from Ocado to review. The beans were mixed varieties, all tender and organic and liked they were in a glass jar. Jar is on the smaller side if you?re cooking for a few (or just love beans!) and be good to see bigger jars in the range. Great to add to different dishes and an easy store cupboard standby for homemade baked beans.
I like the sauce these are presented in. There is a nice mix of beans and very high in good fibre so a win there. However, they are really expensive for the portion when you consider they are one of the cheapest staples there is.
As expected from Biona, these organic beans are outstanding! They have a gorgeous earthy, nutty flavour and perfect firm yet soft texture which they retain throughout cooking - the depth of flavour and texture is exquisite. The proportions of beans/lentils is perfect - it?s hard to find an organic bean mix containing lentils and the lentils add a beautiful flavour and texture with the beans. I love that they are organic and in a glass jar. Glorious in pasta,risotto,curry,stir-fry,quinoa. They also make delicious vegan Shepherdess Pie flavoured with a little organic cinnamon. I wish they didn't contain salt, but rinse them well and that?s fine.
I got these as a substitute after ordering the M&S mixed beans that are no longer being stocked for some reason. These were a huge disappointment. Just 3 different types of bean and they were overcooked and rather mushy. Not very nice in my tuna & bean salad. Maybe OK in hot dishes but put them in at the last minute - they really don't want any more cooking!
I received these to review. I cook with mixed beans a lot in chillis or salads but usually use tinned. These didn?t look particularly appetising in the jar and they seemed a bit softer than other tinned beans. Considering they?re more expensive as well, I?m not sure I would make the switch.
This mix beans make a nice salad mix , taste good and a good beans risotto . Easy to use and cook .
I opened the can and was really disappointed to find a liver coloured mush of miscellaneous beans. Not the rainbow of smooth coloured beans on the picture. But but but!! Mixed them throwugh with some roasted sweet potatoes, dressed them in a simple 5 min dressing made with a crushed clove of garlic, salt, vinegar and good olive oil and they were absolutely delicious. Would actually buy again for flavour alone.
