Ideal for everyday wear!

First time trying this version. I've previously tried their watery essence and was impressed by the lack of white cast and how mattifying it was for my oily skin. Like its cousin, this has a strong alcohol smell. This might make you feel nauseous if you have a sensitive nose.There is a white cast that slightly fades over time (I'm not sure how this looks on people with a darker complexion than I have) but when I reapplied this, the white cast does not get more noticeable.I went out for a long walk and reapplied this, and I did not feel like I got burnt. Additionally, I was out in the sun for a long time today and reapplied on my face +body and did not get burnt after 5+ hours in the sun.Initially, I was concerned if this would emphasis my pores but it didn't. ... MoreFirst time trying this version. It's mattifying but I wouldn't call this hydrating. It pills if I apply a too thick layer of moisturiser in the morning. I have to pat this in instead of rubbing this in as I found that it's hard to spread around evenly on my face + neck. I also found it hard to tell how much protection I was getting as the consistency of this gel is more watery than its cousin.I have yet to try this as a primer for bb cream/foundation but I'll update when I do.TLDR; Overall, I think this is an excellent sunscreen but you might be worried about the smell of alcohol and the white cast.

One of my favs

This sunscreen is truly one of the best. This entire series by Biore is in my top 5, and I find myself going back to it time and again. Counterintuitively, the gel version is lighter then the essence, but except for the consistency, there's little difference between the two. It doesn't irritate the eyes and provides awesome coverage. it's also water resistant, so it's great for the beach/pool. I highly recommend it.

Unsure about the hype...

That version was sold out for a while so I decided to give this Watery Gel version a go since many reviewers say this version is more lightweight and suitable for oily skin - the essence version is very lovely, mega hydrating and fresh, but will give me the biggest oil slick at the end of the day because of it's many hydrating & moisturising ingredients.First impressions: its scent is a lighter version of the essence that people tend to say it smells like alcohol. It spreads on very easily and evenly which is much expected from its runny consistency. What I did notice was that it leaves the slightest bit of a white cast at first. Not the type that makes you looking ghostly, but more of brightening up your skin tone. It does disappear a bit. Good hydration and moisturise, not overly dewy but not juicy and a water bomb feeling like the essence version. This is a positive factor for super oily people out there. At the end of the day, I'm still oily but it's not a heavy thick slick.However, this sunscreen always pills and gives me white dust particles which I don't usually experience with my skincare. Regardless of the time I wait between products to apply this on, or the little amount of skincare layers I apply prior to it, it always pills. Not sure what the problem is with this which is very unfortunate.
