About time I write a review as I have just repurchased by 4th cream! Since trying this rich cream in 2021, I haven't looked back. I have dry sensitive skin and need all the moisture I can get. This cream is used day and night and it's always impressed. Even when ill with chapped lips, one application in the night across my whole face will help to combat my lip drynesss as well. I have tried various other brands in between, but they always leave me reaching for the Biossance Squalane Omega Repair cream. Cannot live without! On the reviews about the smell, it does have a natural scent to it as they have not added any perfumes but my sensitive skin loves it and I would not change a thing.

This is a rich cream with quite a thick texture. I used this as a hydrating layer at night only, after I had applied retinol or any strong acids. It worked best for my skin applied this way it’s way too rich for my combination skin to be used as a day cream as I could not apply anything else on top like spf etc, as it sort of sits on my skin. It has a slightly odd smell it’s just the smell of the cream it’s the same scent that a lot of un-fragranced creams seem to have its not particularly nice but doesn’t really bother me. Full of top notch ingredients, such as squalane, ceramides, omega fatty acids, this is definitely a great night moisturizer. It's nourishing to the skin and absorbs easily, no feeling of stickiness of heaviness. It does a great job overnight restoring the skin barrier. It can be safely applies after retinoids and other actives. However, it has an unpleasant smell. Nothing too unbearable but definitely not nice (kind of sour). This is probably due to the lack of fragrance, which is a plus for many people with reactive skin. Overall this product deserves 4 stars for ingredients, formulation and results. Shame about the funny smell.

I love Biossance products and this is an affordable and effective moisturiser. It's has a lovely consistency that is easily absorbed by the skin and it feels deeply nourishing. I use it alongside the eye cream and the serum and I am very pleased with the results. Skin is smoother and more healthy looking. I've recently been using it after exposure to the sun and it certainly helps to keep my skin hydrated. Would definitely recommend.
I broke into my jar of the squalane cream at the start of winter as my skin tends to get quite dry. This cream had a lovely texture, is smooth and refreshing to apply, and my skin feels dewy for a few hours after. I used it as a day cream as it is moisturising but lightweight enough to not feel like a heavy layer sitting atop my skin.I am confused by some of the negative reviews-- I have a sensitive nose but I thought the cream smelled subtle and lovely. I also had some dermatitis that calmed down after a few days of use. Perhaps it's worth trying it in store to see if it's right for you!

First off all the texture looks compleatly different that you can see on the promo pictures. The cream is more matte it looks like it has some silicone in it but it does not feel that way when you touch it. Then the smell - it is not nice, it is not horrible but it is not pleasent at all (at least to me), it smells little fishy. I have a combo sensitive skin and this cream is not moisturizing enough for my skin and I combine it with 2 other moisturizing serums under it so I don't see how this would work for someone with dry skin. I initially purchased this cream when I had over exfoliated my skin. It worked very quickly at repairing my barrier. This was the only product I used for 2 weeks, and the redness, bumps/cracked skin cleared up completely. It is a rich cream, but absorbs into the skin completely to leave a supple satin finish. This also works extremely well when using Tretinoin. I experienced almost no dry scaly skin, when layering a thin layer of this under the Tret. Highly recommend
I have purchased this moisturiser a few times now. It works so well for my dry skin as it is really hydrating without feeling too thick or sitting on my skin, it absorbs very well. This also makes it perfect for wearing makeup on top. I also have sensitive skin but have not had any reactions with this, the squalane likely helps. There's no strong smell or fragrance which tends to put me off, so another plus. The packaging is also gorgeous.
I find this moisturiser so comforting and love that it’s fragrance free. I have combination sometimes reactive skin and have had no issues with this. I use this as a night cream and use their probiotic gel moisturiser during the day. I would use this during the day in very cold weather and feel like my skin is nice and protected. My only negative is I wish it was in a tube with a pump for hygiene reasons.
I have received two sample sized tubs of this cream in GWPs and I used them both to moisturize the soles of my feet in the evenings after the shower. I know this is a cream that you are supposed to use on your face but, personally, I could not imagine bringing this substance anywhere near my olfactory system. In fact, the smell that I could only describe as "fishy-meets-musty" lingered still in my socks the next morning as I removed them to put into the laundry basket. I must say this is by far the worst-smelling face cream I have ever come across. As for the product itself, I have nothing bad in particular to say. It sunk into my skin fairly decently and the cream texture was smooth. However, due to the smell, I would not touch even another sample.
