Beds 110mm too short!
Would have given 5 stars as I really like the product but deducted 2 stars as unfortunately both my beds are short. Birdies say on their website that size may vary by +/- 50mm but my beds are each 110mm short, more than double their variance. Either produce product within 50mm tolerance or change amount of variance on website. I contacted Birdies but they just put it down to manufacturing and left it as that.Note to new buyers, if you do want 2.1m bed (or any size for that matter), be aware it may end up shorter than expected. As I do like the beds, I still bought a couple more of a different size (larger). Not yet arrived but will see how much shorter they are when I get them, hopefully within 50mm variance.... Show more

Birdies big bed!
This is a great way of extending your veg patch. Easy to assemble although getting the rubber protective strip over the joints can be frustrating! Don't forget to remove the plastic coating from the panels but you do end up with a lot of soft plastic to get rid of. My only real complaint was that I had to return the first delivery because it was incomplete.... Show more

Birdies Bombs Big
No instructions on how many panels per side and how best to overlap them while building. Bought three raised gardens, two the same and one smaller. Parts were delivered in three identical boxes with no details on which parts are needed for which bed. Also the bracing rods were missing. It may be a well designed and constructed product but the post sale service from Birdies sucked big time. All kudos to the Bunnings Service team and Darryl for talking us through the build process and sorting out the missing parts. I hope you sort Birdies out as well.... Show more

Birdies raised garden bed is a good quality product. It requires assembly but has good instructions to aid the process. The edge beading was somewhat awkward to attach to the garden bed. Reasonable value for the price. Delivery from Victoria was quick.
Good materials used in the manufacture. Requires construction.... Show more

CORRECT DESCRIPTION - MISLEADING IMAGE
The image portrayed on the website shows a colourbond raised garden bed. Which made us think we were purchasing a colourbond raised garden bed in a neutral tone. However, upon receiving the item we realised it was a Aluzinc one. This was quite disappointing.Be sure to read the full description before purchasing as unfortunately for us, it did say Aluzinc. Also be aware that the measurements are not exact. They were out a bit on all pieces. Despite the suppliers disclaimers that the measurements are exact on the actual box itself. So we could have saved time and gone into Bunnings store to purchase one off the shelf instead of waiting weeks for a particular special order size to come in. As well as half the cost!Nevertheless, the raised garden bed makes a nice ... MoreThe image portrayed on the website shows a colourbond raised garden bed. Looks good and a good height.
It looks good. I finally managed to get it filled with soil ... it takes a lot more than you first think. You do need a second person to put it together. It has a lot of screws and nuts. Also, not shown in picture is the internal bracing. Probably the hardest part to install, but designed to bolster it together, there is a lot of weight in that soil. The rubber edging you can put on is a good feature as well. Only marked down because the bracing was not in the photos and instructions for that part not as clear as could be.... Show more

Looks good, but plan for a project
Many more pieces than expected. An Assembly/Instruction sheet would have been appreciated. Time consuming to assemble, but not difficult. Instruction Steps would have saved some RE-DOs!!! Hoping worth the extra cost in time for durability, compared to others considered...Only time will tell!!... Show more

No bracing = bowed bed
For some reason this sized bed comes with no bracing - the next size up (3.2m - just 40cm longer) on the other hand comes with three braces. With no bracing in the middle of the 2.8m bed, it bows. Now I have to decide whether to return the product or, at my expense, go and buy some additional bracing. The other bed sizes are great, but someone at Birdies needs to take a look at why the 2.8m beds aren't supplied with braces.... Show more

No surprises and seems good quality
We were choosing between the different types of raised beds available - ended up going with this one because the rounded edges look a bit nicer. Seems good quality, is easy enough to put together - so we are quite happy and considering some more for other parts of the garden. It comes as small pieces that screw together - you need to be a little careful of the paint/colour coat. It has a plastic film that peels off so that it doesn’t get damaged in travel. I’m going to need to put a guard along the bottom for when I do the grass.... Show more

Raised garden bed
Good garden bed, does the job well and very sturdy once filled. Colour is nice with the yard too.Only issue we experienced, measurements state 2.5 x 0.5 x 0.3The depth of 0.5, was actually 0.56m, making it 0.06 too deep for the space. Some creative modifications and we got it to fit in, but wasn’t straightforward....
