A bit more narrow than usual

While visiting Germany I bought the Metallic leather Arizona Soft footbed in the narrow (which is US Regular “B” or medium width). It fit perfectly. However, this new pair in the
suede, the footbed width runs a bit more narrow & snug. The straps fit nicely. Look for the foot icon inside the sandal. If the foot icon is solid the width is a bit narrow. If the foot
icon is an outline it will be a wide fit. The length of the Footbed was true to size. I am sure it will give & conformity my foot due to the nature of the suede insole suede and
cork bottoms.

Birkenstocks are so uncomfortable

I find. Birkenstocks to be rigid and uncomfortable. I bought a pair last year and hardly wore them because of the hard plastic they use to go in between your toes. So when I
bought a new pair the other day I returned them a day later thinking “why spend more $ on a bad product”. I don’t get why their so popular when they are so uncomfortable

If you're familiar with Birkenstock sandals, note that REI has split the Unisex sizing into narrow for women and regular for men. I was disappointed that these sandals I ordered
for my wife showed up in narrow sizing, with no indication on the product page as to width. I am returning, as she needs regular size 40eu sandals. I would exchange, but REI
does not carry the color she wants in "men's". REI customer service was great, so I'm just sharing here until they add width information to their product descriptions, so no
one else has the same issue.

Happy and surprised!

I know we see these shoes everywhere, but I had never tried them before. I have a weak ankle and some pain. I was amazed at how these shoes not only are comfortable and stylish but after wearing these, my pain is gone! I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone. They have great support. I'm so glad I bought them!... Show more

Just what I was looking for
24 May 2024
It’s hard to find cute Birkenstock Arizona’s in the regular/wide size. They seem to only be making the cute colors in narrow these days or they sell out quickly . So when I found these at Orleans shoes, I was very excited! They are exactly what I was looking for. Ordering was easy and shipping was fast. I will definitely be shopping with Orleans shoes again.... Show more

Like butter

This is my 3rd pair of Birkenstocks and I am finally satisfied. The Gizeh and Madrid styles are semi-comfy, but I never understood the appeal of Birkenstocks with them. I finally decided to try the Arizonas and was very pleased.STYLEThey are traditional Birkenstocks - embrace your inner love child, take a stroll through the local co-op, jam out to Grateful Dead, and you'll be loving life. It worked for me.FOOTBEDREI sells the soft footbed (blue writing) in the narrow style (solid black picture of a foot), but they don't make this obvious. My foot is average/wider and the narrow style fit me perfectly. I tried on both and purchased the suede leather. The suede felt like butter - so soft and forgiving. No break-in period needed! The oiled leather was noticeably tougher and would take some time (and band-aids) to break in.I wish REI sold more than just a handful of colors.... Show more

LOVE LOVE LOVE These
13 August 2019
Love these, BUT didn’t at first. The raised toe bed didn’t hit my toes where it should/where they bend (I believe because I have long toes) so hit my foot too high up/in the wrong spot. I had worn them a bit so couldn’t return so thought as I own them and they cost a lot, I’d suffer. So suffer I did. Then, low and behold, a couple months in, the soft footbed molded to MY foot and they are now my favorite sandal. They are not just my favorite sandal, but my favorite sandal EVER! So, even if you are unsure of the feel (if you’ve not worn these before) they WILL mold to your foot and become incredibly comfortable.... Show more

Not for me
16 January 2024
I've been wanting to try a pair of Birkenstock's for sometime. Normally, I am a size "7". At REI, I tried both size 37 and 38. The 38 felt too big and I was in the last notch of the buckle. I opted for the size 37. After wearing them around the house for a couple days, they feel too snug in the footbed. They will go back. I think that I'm between sizes and they are just not going to work for me.... Show more

PLEASE SYNC YOUR SIZING AND DESCRIPTION WITH BIRKENSTOCK website and packaging!! It's confusing. I wasted my dividend buying something I thought was "Regular" width but all REI offers is "Narrow". Arizona sandals are unisex - both men and women buy them. (Ditto for all Birkenstocks, although some styles are more likely to be purchased by women or men.) They're sized EU 35-46, and they come in "Narrow" (filled in footprint) or "Regular" (open footprint) width. It is NOT true that Narrow is good for everyone who wears a B width, as your website says. I wear a B and I own many pairs of Birkenstocks, all Regular width. To be fair, the description of this sandal does sort of say in the fine print that it's narrow, but I missed it, and some other styles carried by REI ... MorePLEASE SYNC YOUR SIZING AND DESCRIPTION WITH BIRKENSTOCK website and packaging!! This is my first pair and I'm anxiously anticipating when they are broken in. I usually buy a cushy type of sandal/shoe but keep coming back to these for the cute style. It's the exact look I wanted I almost purchased Dansko sandals that look like Birks but are a cushier footbed. In the end, I preferred the color in the Birkenstock. I chose the mocha with the rose gold buckles. These will be my go to sandals this summer so I hope I chose right. I'll give 5 stars because I know they are quality but I'm still unsure how supportive or comfortable they will be wearing all day. Wish me luck!! Happy Birthday to me!! Btw, I'm 58. Old feet!! I wear size 8 or 39.... Show more
