I am absolutely obsessed with my shearling Birkenstocks. I bought them a couple of years ago, and I regret not getting them in both colors because they’re perfect for summer. These sandals are incredibly comfortable, and the shearling adds an extra layer of coziness. While the shearling does shrink over time, making it less visible, it’s still noticeable to your feet and remains super comfy. The quality of these shoes is top-notch, as is expected from Birkenstock, and they’ve quickly become one of my favorite pairs. I’m already eyeing the clog version and can’t wait to get my hands on the latest Birkenstock releases. They really do make the best quality shoes!... Show more

Absolutely love
My husband has these in plain leather and loves the support it gives his feet. He wears them in the house all the time. So now he wanted another pair of Birkenstocks to wear as slippers. I took a chance on the shearling lined ones and they are perfect. I got him one size up from his last pair a his toes were right on the edge and these fit great. The shearling is warm yet opened toed for comfort. Great support as usual... Show more

Comfortable
I bought a bigger size since I noticed that I prefer more room in the back where my heel ends. Also it makes it better when wanting to wear socks with these. The sandal is comfortable. I do believe that the shearling adds cushion BUT I do not know how it will hold up with time. I appreciate that these have not bled and the black hasn’t rubbed off on my foot. They are pricey and I would have not paid full price honestly.... Show more

Comfy birks!
I’ll start by saying I do not like the style of Birkenstocks. I’ve never owned a pair until now. The straps on the regular leather styles always rub and cause blisters. I wish that wasn’t the case because I have troubled feet & Birkenstock foot beds are so comfortable. I’m thrilled to have discovered these shearling slides. The soft shearling prevents the rubbing issue and these are the most comfortable shoes I own. I will likely only wear these around the house but that’s ok. I can stand in the kitchen and cook for long periods of time & not get sore feet. I’m sure I could walk miles in these but I don’t want to get them dirty so they will be indoor only shoes.... Decent Sandal But Pricey
Comfortable sandals with the lining but I wish the lining was thicker for the price. I took advantage of the sale to justify the purchase. I noticed I kept the sandals on at home after returning home. I went up a size because I noticed that with the lining I need a bigger size so it won’t look like my foot is right on the edge of the heel. Good decision. I got the all black which I like but I wish I could of gotten the brown but they didn’t have my size. I wore them with socks because right now in LA it is a little chilly still.... Show more

Fleece lined sandal
I’ve had another pair of these sandals for years and love them. I wanted a second pair. The new pair is very comfortable. I’m only giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because the fleece in this new pair is not as thick and plush as it is in my old pair. Birkenstock, please don’t skimp on the fleece!... Show more

Just purchased, and loving them
I found a pair in clearance at a store I checked out during a trip out of state. What luck! Mine have felt straps, very comfy. The shearling lining is nice and warm around my drafty house! I got a size larger so I can wear with thicker socks. (And that happened to be the only size pair in clearance). Just goes to show that it pays to check out the local DSW wherever you may be!... Not happy
So very disappointed in the shearling in the shoe. This is my second pair of shearling sandals. I purchased the second pair because I had such good luck with the first pair, however the second pair is not the same quality. The shearling began wearing down after the first few times I wore them.... Show more

Poor quality
I bought my first pair of the shearling-lined sandals three years ago and have worn them around the house almost every day since. They eventually became worn down so I ordered a new pair. The newer version is very poorly made. The shearling lining felt very thin and the sandals felt very light, not study like my original pair. I could tell they wouldn't last nearly as long as my original pair. I returned these and would not recommend them.... Show more

Pricey but good
This is the third season (winter) for these sandals. Yes, the shearling has worn away but the shoes are still comfortable. I now wear them to the swimming pool (chilly in winter but this is Arizona and the pool is heated) so that when I get out of the pool even though the shearling has almost worn away the sandals help dry my feet off. Was looking for another pair, but they have not been reduced in price. They are very pricey, but I wear them constantly.... Show more
