Birkenstock and Shoe Sensation Saved the Day!
My daughter asked for the Birkenstock Boston shoes for Christmas - the hardest shoes to find in anywhere. Luckily Shoe Sensation had the ability to ship them to their store just in the nick of time. They saved the day! The shoes are perfect! Right color, style and fit. Would purchase this style again. #shoesensation #birkenstock #sweepstakes... Show more

Honest Review
Back in the day (10 years ago) you had to break these bad boys in before they were comfortable to wear. Super surprised when I bought a pair this year and they were immediately comfy. They did change the design of the shoe on the inside where your toes are at which I noticed right away. I thought I wouldn't like how that felt on my toes, but my feet made a quick adjustment after a couple wears and its not a concern anymore.I am a 9.5 in womens sneakers and a 10 in heels. I purchased a size 10 (a 41 in European measurements), which is an exact fit. Buy them! So stylish and can be worn with anything. I love my birkies!... Show more

I understand the hype now!
These clogs are so comfortable! It took a couple tries to get my hands on the taupe color, but now that I have them, I don’t want to take them off. I bought the black but returned them because they did rub off the black color on my feet a bit.Like other reviewers said, these bring me back to my college days when I wore my Birkenstock Boston’s so much that I eventually had to throw them out.I typically wear a 8 1/2 in flats or a 9 in boots, but the 39 worked out for me. The 40 was too big. Also, they stretch a little, so if they’re tight at first, wear them around the house and they’ll conform to your feet.If you see these comfy clogs in your size on the Nordy website, snap them up! They won’t be available for long— I’ve seen these sell out in minutes. The taupe ... MoreThese clogs are so comfortable! Just a bit cluncky
I'm an admitted shoe horse, and have a closet full of the sucker's. I've never tried this brand, but remember the days when it held a place of reverence in the shoe community, so I took a flyer. First, I must say out of the box it's an appealing pair of kicks. Style, feel, workmanship are all apparent. The ride, however, not so much. I found them to feel like walking on boards. I'll give them a chance to break in, but my preference for now will remain with my Hoka's or Oofa's. Just my opinion. Thanks and happy treading.... Show more

Love
I absolutely love these shoes - they're comfy out of the box and look great with many outfits. It's important to note the pair I have is a narrow 37, which means they fit more like a 36, which worked out perfectly for my foot, but just be aware. They fit very well with socks on. Without socks, they do still fit, but I need the buckle to be on the tightest setting so it doesn't feel like the shoe is going to fly off. Overall, very pleased I finally bought a pair of Boston's!... Show more

Love these classic shoes, even for wider feet.
This iconic birkenstock is a must have for fall and winter. It is timeless and pretty much goes with anything especiallyin the taupe color. Just like other Birkenstock, it take a few wears with socks on to get comfortable. I am a 9-9.5 (wide) and purchased the 40 regular. I love purchasing from DSW because you can use your reward dollars on brands that are normally excluded.... Show more

size up one size
I love these clogs so much. Wore them in high school and I’m glad they’re back in style.I will say, they fun small. I’m usually a 8.5 so I ordered a size 39. I’d say the toe box is not true problem, but the actual length of the shoe. My heel touched right at the edge without socks. Ended up sizing up to a 40 for a better fit. I know they will loosen up as the leather wears. However, in my case, i prefer they look a tad big than my heel hanging out.... Show more

Small feet beware
My ache runners feet need these shoes but not in suede. I love the look of the taupe suede, however the suede is very soft and floppy. The clogs collapse when your foot is not inside. Not quite as slip-in friendly as I hoped. More importantly, I fear the soft suede will stretch beyond wear and light color will quickly look grungy. I do not intend to buy a new pair every year. I want a pair that will last. For context, I ordered a 36 narrow, the smallest size available. According to Birkenstocks’s fit calculator. measuring my feet in mm, I should have ordered a 37 regular/wide size. However, I’ve been wearing 36 Arizonas for years on my 6-6.5 US size feet. The suede Boston 36 Narrow fit perfect in length BUT they were slightly too wide for my very average feet. I ... MoreMy ache runners feet need these shoes but not in suede. The suede Boston 36 Narrow fit perfect in length BUT they were slightly too wide for my very average feet. I adjusted the buckle to the tightest hole to get a snug, perfect fit. No doubt the soft suede will stretch with wear making the shoes completely unwearable since the buckle has no more holes left. Point being, the size calculator is way off!Determined not to give up, I went to a local Birk store that had the Boston in oil leather (iron grey) for woman in a 36 narrow that addressed many of the issues I had with the suede. The leather is far more structured. It isn’t floppy, it stays open and is truly slip in and out ready. The fit seems slightly tighter too and I can go down to the 2nd hole when wearing a thin sock. While the leather will eventually stretch too, I’m confident that it will take longer and be much less significant than the suede. I’d also bet money that the oil leather will look far better a year from now than the taupe suede. (Out of the box, the look of the suede wins but I’m interested in longevity.)Both materials have the amazing Birkenstock footbed that are truly heaven on my sore, almost flat, aging feet. The soft footbed is comfortable out of the box but I’ll probably seek the original footbed for my next pair as I think the original will be better over time as well.I would love to see Nordstrom get more leather options for women in the future as I’m already wanting more colors. Sorry I have to return the suede.... Show more

Super comfy
I realized after purchase that Birkenstock offers a narrower fit as well. Had I known, I would have bought through their site since it appears that LL Bean only offer one width. I still like my Bostons a lot. They’re super comfy and were great footwear for a recent plane flight. I also walked miles through Chicago in comfort.... Show more

Worn Out
My first Birkenstock order - I ordered my usual shoe size and they fit perfectly. However, the material didn’t look new, they were both worn at the big toe and one of them had a long scratch across the top. Both shoes looked like they had been on display. I saw that someone else had written that their shoes didn’t look good either, but I’d hoped my purchase would be different. These will be going back. I decided to buy from the Birkenstock website and they look brand new.... Show more
