Brought these for my wife. Her comment about the sandals were, very hard on the soles of her feet, not comfortable for long wearing. Can only be worn for a short time. Her feet become sore and where the part goes between the toes also hurts. These sandals are well made and the colour is nice. Just not suitable for her feet.

Love these sandals! Primarily they are so cute and so comfortable too! The antique lace color has just the right amount of iridescence to make them dressy or casual. I accidentally bought the wrong size online and Moosejaw was so helpful exchanging them in the store for the right size. Great service!

I was looking for a pair of slip on sandals that would last me a long time. These have been great so far. They did take about 3-4 days to feel more comfortable; now about a week and a half later they feel very molded to my foot. I'm really looking forward to owning them as they break-in even more. One thing thats great about Altitude is that they list the European size for this shoe.This gives a much better idea of what size to buy. I am almost always a true 6 in shoes, but my boyfriend surprised be with a size 6 from another store and they were too big. We retuned those and bought the size 36/5 off of Altitude for much cheaper! As for the look, I have very dainty ankles and lower calves and these don't look clunky at all.

It took me a long time to finally invest more money in good quality sandals! I live in California and I wear sandals or flip-flops all year long. After a many years I recognized that my feet are really flat. So I decided to purchase Birkenstock sandals because they have a supportive longitudinal arch. Evo shipped them very fast. These Birkenstock Gizeh Oiled Leather Sandals look cute, are comfortable, and I can wear them with almost anything (jeans, dress, skirts, shorts,..). I usually wear size 7 or 7.5, so I purchased 38 and they fit perfectly. Definitely I will purchase another pair in the future!
I have heard rave reviews of Birkenstocks and despite the cost I was ready to make the plunge. I was glad for the European sizing because I am a reliable 41 but US sizing tends to fluctuate. But upon receiving these, the 41 is at least a size larger than I expected. If these were standard sandals it wouldn't really matter, but these are quite aggressively molded to a hypothetical person's foot so there were some pretty intense ridges and insteps which were entirely incongruous with my foot shape and size. I'll be returning.
Slightly less quality than my last pair. (Been buying the same ones every 2 years going on a decade).Cork glue drips and small imperfections.Not bad enough to bother with the hassle of returning, but noticeable enough that they shouldn’t have passed quality control (for the price of them!)
I bought these shoes when they were on sale and I was hoping they would work out but they ended up being too narrow. The thong of the shoe was uncomfortable as well as the fabric that was holding the thong was shaped differently that what is shown on the photo. Don't buy the pink iridescent color. For me they were not great quality and I hate to say it but you get what you pay for.
I've been wonderfully blessed with flat/weak arches, heels that want to collapse inward like the stick that broke the camels back, and the oh-so horrid second toe that is longer than the big toe. Makes it hard to find shoes, especially sandals, that dont give off geriatric or cavemen vibes, no offense.Of course I went through the cheaper options, I'm only human. I dont think Im one to drag my feet, but after a few months most of the soles of my sandals were non-existent. I slid on my little heaven walkers, and.....whoa. They keep my heels and arches in check like a Navy Seal drill sergeant, and that lonely long toe can join the rest of the piggies, safely tucked inside the front lip of the shoe. Throw a little polish and BAM, feet that look like I'm intentionally letting them out of sneaker confinement. Guess the moral of the story is.....trust a hippie?
I’m so happy with these shoes! I’m not sure how many Birkenstock’s I’ve owned in my life but these are some of the best I’ve had (besides the old Arizona’s). They’re extremely comfortable and also not too bad looking! I was a bit worried at first based off some reviews saying that the plastic toe piece and ridge on the sole were uncomfortable. Walking around the house I noticed that the plastic piece was very annoying and wasn’t sure if I could handle it. Then I realized that I needed to tighten the straps to one hole up and bam! They fit perfectly. The ridge on the bottom isn’t noticeable at all and they’ve already started to conform to my feet. I would definitely recommend giving them a try!
