I have purchased so many sneakers trying to find the one that looks cute and is still comfortable! These are it!!! I was able to wear these right out of the box with ZERO blisters. Took them to Europe and wore them all day! They have this arch support feature that feels really awkward when you first put on the shoes… but after a few minutes I never even noticed it. And from a tired foot perspective the arch support is so CRITICAL! I wore them for a week straight even in the rain and they were perfect. I’m going to buy another pair for back up!

I previously had this sneaker and loved it. I decided I wanted a new pair in a bigger size. I was sent a worn pair that was dirty from the DSW return center. I contacted customer service and they told me to return the pair and would be receiving a new pair. I just received the second pair, again from the return Center, worn and dirty. These are expensive sneakers and this is extremely disappointing from DSW. Customer service this time could not guarantee I would receive a new pair so suggested I return for a refund. If you cannot provide new and unworn sneakers, they should be marked out of stock.

After one day exploring Rome my calves were unusually sore -- I realized it's because of the extra work they were doing to lift these sneakers! Unfortunately I had to wear them most of the trip as I didn't bring many other options.My second issue is that after a few hours my toes somehow still felt crammed despite the visibly wider toe-box on this shoe. There is no stretch to the leather so it felt like my toes were being jammed from the top. I ordered my usual size for Birks, but these seem to run a tad large. I probably should’ve sized down a 1/2 a size for a more accurate fit.After wearing it for a week, they were the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever owned. The arch support is there; however, the top inner part is so stiff, it constantly presses against the top of your foot as you walk. Imagine knuckle jabs each time you lift your foot to take a step. I was in so much pain after just a few steps. The design really needs to be reconsidered. I regret my purchase, but unfortunately, it’s too late to return it.
I so want to love these for around town and a trip this spring, but the sizing is way off compared to my Birk sandals. The Bend is too small in a 39 and too big in a 40. My heel comes up when I walk inside and my socks slide down which drives me nuts. I have great ankle socks from rei that don’t slide down for any shoe, which is why I bought them. Apparently they don’t work with these. The top of the shoe is also super painful over my first metatarsal. I will think on it; may return. I do wish or did wish they made the sand color in leather so it is better in rain. The beige color would be great for travel but suede isn’t smart in the rainy season. Birkenstock has done it again. The perfect fit and support with a stylish look. They fit perfectly right out of the box with both socks and no socks. They needed no breaking in - similar to wearing the sandals. Such a great feeling. Loved the colour - I bot white on white leather. Such a great fit that I bit the sandcastle suede ones as well. Would totally recommend this to anyone with foot issues and to those who need extra support
I already have these shoes in 3 other colors. What more can be said! They're SOOO comfortable and cute, awesome foot support without looking like an orthopedic shoe. The Birkenstock footbed is better for me than custom orthotics that cost a whole lot more than this pair of shoes. And I say this with confidence because I have shelled out a lot of wasted money for custom orthotics. This may not be the case for everyone, but if Birkenstock's work for you and you want something more than a sandal or slipper, get the Birkenstock Bend NOW!

First they are the exactly style I was looking for, they are well made and absolutely super comfortable. I have owned a previous pair of Eccos before and loved them. A little pricey, but well worth it for a great fit. The arch is just perfect. Many sneakers don't have a good arch and since I have high arches, I need something that is not flat. These are just the right support. I wore them the first time for hours and my feet felt like they were in heaven. I plan on taking these to Europe with me which was the original intent for purchasing these. I'm writing here simply to say that as a hard core Birk fan, of necessity as my arches are extremely high, these shoes work well for me. They're very cute and while they don't and never will be able to give me the complete arch support that typical Birkenstocks do, they do work well enough and aren't nearly as expensive as the others. They do not have the solid cork sole as the others. The support that they do provide is by way of the removeable sole which is pliable and is adequate if you need a sneaker, as I did. I found that my regular Birk size of 38 fit me perfectly. I have no complaints with them. They're a good idea.
