To do that with this machine I have to empty the clean container and refill with just water. Doable but my previous machine had the water and soap separate so you could switch between the two. Not a deal breaker but a nice feature when it does that. Overall the pros outweigh the cons and I am happy with my purchase.

You don't have to fight with it to get it to cross over thresholds or obstacles, the large wheels provide plenty of range of motion to make moving around very easy. When I'm done vacuuming, the second water component that is suppose to have the dirty water, is completely dry. I just have wet carpet with tons of hair coming out the vacuum. Secondly, I tried to use a tool and connect it to the vacuum. Every time I would try, I would never hear a click to where I know the tool was in the correct spot and on all the way. No, this vacuum is absolutely terrible and do yourself a favor and do not spend $300 some dollars on this useless cleaner. It uses so much water and doesn't collect a lot back in return leaving the carpets quite wet after cleaning and now I'm wondering if it's even soaking up the urine at all. I can see it soaking up the urine marks since the bottom part is clear, but then the vacuum itself begins to leave behind a gross smell. I clean out the dirt tank and take apart all components before and after each clean but the vacuum stinks literally and it's effectiveness. When I'm done with the vacuum, it leaves dirty residue water all over while I roll it toward the back room to clean it out. This product does not even come close to standing up to what it is supposed to be doing. It's big, heavy, and bulky, and not fun to maneuver around especially since it leaks dirty water. The soap squirt thing on the handle stopped working relatively quick, and the soap squirt nozzle on the base shoots out almost pointlessly leaving too much water all over that's not all being sucked back up. I feel like since I've been using this vacuum it has been so ineffective that I felt like my situation is worse than it was before I began using this steamer. I do not at all recommend this for removing pet stains, whatsoever. This thing cost way too much money for it not to have much effectiveness.
