The clean and dirty water tanks are simple to fill and empty. Overall the machine is well engineered and robust. The hose and electrical cord wraps around the dedicated fixtures, as to the attachments. It’s not heavy, is well balanced and doesn’t tip over during use. I’d been considering buying this machine for some months. I bought it on special and am very happy with its performance so far.

I purchased this machine to clean the mats and carpets in my sisters' car I was selling for her. The 18 year old Mazda had seen some dirt over the years. After the clean, the carpets and mats looked like new. I then did our 2 cars and stains on our cream coloured lounge. All came up super clean. This is an amazing machine for around the home. I purchase this on sale and would highly recommend it.

Thought I'd give it another go and try on my sofa. Went out and brought more cleaning solution. Set it all up to find the mist spray not working. Did everything the instruction manual said. Spent over an hour to no avail. Absolutely waste of money to first buy this and then to re buy more solution.

Bought a cheap work car which was dirty, smelly and had dog hair and urine everywhere. Took out the seats and shampooed everything with the Bissell. Worked a treat. Carpet came up clean. Seats came up clean but had to go over it 3 times as the water was black with the added oxy action solution. But had to spray some deodoriser on the carpet as it still had some smell afterwards. It didn't take away all the dog hair though. Needed a special rubber pet brush for that. You wouldn't believe how clean the car came up afterwards. Best thing I had bought. Would highly recommend it.
Finally got around to using this on our couch and we were surprised with the amount of dirtiness that came out since there is a cover on the couch. We were so impressed & grossed out at the same time, we decided to use it on the car seats and could not believe how disgusting the water looked. It was unbelievably satisfying to see how clean & fresh the seats turned out. Money well spent!
It works for a small personal/home device, but is nlot close to the same as a professional cleaner. Suction is ok but leaves something to be desired. Several passes and its still damp. The cleaning liquid is expensive; am sure there are cheaper solutions that work equally well, perhaps laundry bleaches for example. One of the fans pulls from underneath the device, perhaps a design oversight.
Bought this cleaner as I have an Airbnb with 2 fabric sofas and was costly to hire the Bissell unit from Woollies every few months. The various suction heads/brushes work well and effective at cleaning the entire sofas and/or spot stains. Suction is not great as you would expect from such a small unit, but still manages to suck off the dirty water/chemical. Just not as dry as the big unit that I was hiring. Expect to wait 4-5 hours for the sofa to be dry enough to sit on.
Instead of hiring a machine for $100, figured I'd purchase a unit instead. Bought a month ago to do our lounges and also to clean my 10 year old 4 wheel drive ( was back of mind all along LOL ) and I must say, this unit works well. I was really surprised out how well it worked on the lounges. We'll probably do them again just to be 100% schmick but even with one going over, they came up like new. The car came up great too. I would say it's probably at say 85% / 90% there on getting the carpet clean. It's amazing the putrid gunk that comes up and out in the water, especially if its not been done for a while - or ever. PROS - * light weight, easy to carry and is super portable * quick setup, easy to get up and running within a minute * super easy to use - a 5 year old would be able to use it with great results * reputable brand CONS - * as per another review, would be the base needs feet or spacers underneath to elevate the bottom somewhat for better breathing and cooling * the cleaning solution they recommend could be a little stronger ... it didn't seem to be powerful enough ( obviously they recommend against other products in the unit ) * the Bissell cleaner needs to available in larger ( and less expensive ) sizes * And be available more easily - we tried 4 different stores and none had stock - a pain in the backside on the day when you are 1/2 way through the job and the very small "sample" bottles that are included in the box run out already Other than that, I really like this unit. I know of a professional detailer on YouTube in Canada and this is his favourite piece of equipment he uses, what he does with his is nothing short of truly amazing !!! ... they do work well as long as you follow the Bissell recommendations. Great stuff and I look forward to seeing how it comes up with another going over.

I then tried it on the cream carpet in the boot of the 10 year old car. Imagine lawn mowers, camp gear, tools, golf clubs, it was filthy! Came up like new on the section i did, so impressed. Wish i could post a photo. Unfortunately, i went to buy full bottle of solution to finish both lounge and car to find that there is none in Australia. Call to Bissell and the customer service rep said that any other product in the machine voids the warranty. She also said they had no idea if they were going to get the product. So i was stuck with a half clean lounge and car carpet and a machine that was unusable. I gave 4 stars because of the supply issue and the issue removing the head cover.
I was hesitant to purchase this purely because the reviews I read stated the hose was too short. But due to it being on sale at a BARGAIN price, I proceeded with the purchase anyway. I am 100% satisfied with this product - it deserves more than 5 stars! The hose has since be upgraded and is long, so the system has absolutely no flaws. I’ve used it on my couch already and couldn’t believe how easy it was (also satisfying) seeing the dirty water in the tank. I have already recommended this product to a few friends as it’s honestly the best purchase I’ve made in a long time! Don’t even hesitate if you’re considering looking for an affordable carpet/ upholstery cleaning product. This is worth every dollar and more :)
