Where to begin with this thing. I know you get what you pay for, but I took a chance on this and unfortunately it has to go back. I live in a smaller apartment, and I replaced a Bissell Little Green with this. I've used it extensively for about a week. Today when I tried using it, the brushroll completely seized and it started smoking from the burning belt rubber. On top of the major failure, there were a ton of small details that made it extremely frustrating to use. The float inside of the dirty water tank will get sucked up, even if the tank isn't close to being full, which stops the suction. I would have to hold the tank down while shampooing in order to finish all of the water. The short time it worked, it worked really well and got the carpets clean. It extracts a bunch of water and the carpet dries fast. The quality is just inexcusable though.

Let me first start by stating I do not have pets, just carpet with stains. This is a very lightweight cleaner that does a good job cleaning stains. I did use the Bissell cleaner and I did pretreat, which I think really helped. I was doing two main areas - my foyer and my area rug in the main living room. Both areas get a lot of traffic and for the most part the stains did come out. Just be mindful when crossing an edge (ie. the edge of the area rug and the edge of my carpet to linoleum). That slight difference is height between the two surfaces is very tricky. Just take your time when on the edges and try to stay on the carpet. The only other small issue is the containers for both the cleaner and dirty water need emptied quite frequently. It really did do a nice job ... MoreLet me first start by stating I do not have pets, just carpet with stains. This is a very lightweight cleaner that does a good job cleaning stains. Just purchased this carpet cleaner and I’m very disappointed with it. Previously I had a Hoover brand and it lasted 20 years and was amazing. The only reason I had to purchase this one is because I took the other one apart to replace the belt and a few pieces broke when putting it back together. Which is very understandable with the age of it. I miss it for sure. This one does not do a thorough cleaning, it feels very cheap, the on/off button is in a poor spot and if your fingers are even a little wet it is hard to push being a slippery rubbery material. It is hard to see if water is still being pulled up due to the position of the handle on the collection container. Waste of money as I will be looking for a replacement. This time I’ll stick with the Hoover brand.

My 15 year old Bissell carpet cleaner finally died and I bought this to replace it. I was trying to decide between this Turboclean model and the Powerclean model. The Powerclean is made identically to my old machine, which I liked, but I wanted to see what the difference was with this one. A quick YouTube search later, I decided on this one. There are, however, things I like better about the Powerclean. The Powerclean has both the recline and power buttons at the bottom where you can use your foot. The Turboclean power button is up higher on the back and you have to bend over. Not a dealbreaker for me. The thing I like least is the placement of the dirty water container. The Turboclean power button is up higher on the back and you have to bend over. Not a dealbreaker for me. The thing I like least is the placement of the dirty water container. On the old model (and the Powerclean model) the dirty water container sits on the bottom and you can see the water being sucked up in the front while you’re cleaning. I like this because I can tell when I’ve gone over that area enough. The Turboclean dirty water container sits up higher and I have to look over it or around to the side to be able to see the front where the water is sucked up. Maybe this isn’t an issue if you’re taller? I’m 5’2”. I do like the design of the dirty water container better on this model. On the old one, there were grates and pieces and nooks and crannies that would collect hair and dirt that was hard to rinse out. This model is one solid piece and you can take the center tube thingy (I don’t know what’s it’s for) out and rinse everything. Same with the plastic piece on the front where the water is sucked up. It comes right off when you take the dirty water container off and all of it can be cleaned easily. The best part though is how well it cleans! The old model and presumably the Powerclean model, doesn’t put out as much water with one pass. That was something I disliked with my old one and felt like I needed to go over it several times to get the carpet wet enough. The Turboclean puts out a lot more water with one pass and although you will have to fill up the clean water tank several times if you’re doing a large area, it cleans SO much better. For reference, my dogs got mud all over my rug. I cleaned it with my old Bissell and that’s when it died. But I got it all clean, or so I thought. When I got the new one home, I decided to try it out and clean the rug again. OMG! I could visibly see a line where I had just passed with the Turboclean. I just cleaned it the day before! When I finished, I had a filthy dirty water container. I couldn’t believe how much my old machine left behind. This really is a great carpet cleaner, especially for the price! Don’t hesitate!
This is a great little machine. As someone who also owns a Bissell Pro Heat 2x Revolution Pet cleaner this does a decent job. It took out coffee and red wine but did not take basic yellow mustard out of my carpet. This is a great option if you have fairly newer, not too dirty low pile carpets that cover a small area. For homes that have a lot of carpet that has never been cleaned I would recommend the Pro Heat 2x Revolution. Remember carpet cleaning needs to be done slowly. Do not use this machine like a vacuum or you will end up with streaks. Over all I have been using Bissell machines for years in multiple homes with great success. So satisfying to see how much dirt, dust and grime these machines can pull out of carpets.
We had our carpeted floors professionally cleaned and paid $500!! A week later, we went on a trip and left our 1-year-old puppy home with a dog/house sitter. Due to our puppy's anxiety (she is a rescue and likely thought she was abandoned again), she had several accidents while we were away. My carpeted playroom was full of spots and the smell was horrendous. I didn't want to pay $500 again, so I decided to purchase a carpet cleaner that I could re-use in the future. I am so happy with this purchase! It did the job and was easy to use. The playroom carpet looks like it was professionally cleaned again and the scent of the Bissell solution is fresh and light. I am now purchasing a portable version for my carpeted stairs.
I loved this machine at first. It’s lightweight and easy to use. Every time I used it, the water was black and filthy…but I would go over the same area’s over and over (the same day) and the water never did come out any cleaner…making me feel like it really wasn’t getting the dirt out after the first use, or the fifth or sixth. I’ve now had it for two years (purchased Sept 2022). This last year, the clean water tank has randomly started leaking all over the floor despite not having any obvious cracks. Then yesterday, I was cleaning a carpet and the machine started smoking and smelled like burned rubber. My intent was to just buy a new belt, as I’ve had to do with past bissell vacuums-but when I opened the machine, burned:melted plastic was everywhere and it ... MoreI loved this machine at first. My intent was to just buy a new belt, as I’ve had to do with past bissell vacuums-but when I opened the machine, burned:melted plastic was everywhere and it obviously couldn’t be salvaged. When I looked back on all my previous Bissell purchases (vacuums, carpet cleaners, and handheld “green machine” type cleaners) over the years, it seems none of them have lasted past 2 years. I think they are made to self-destruct to increase sales. I’m switching brands with the hopes that another brand may last past two years. I went with a shark vacuum this last time my Bissell vacuum shot craps, and I haven’t had the belt replacement issues I had previously with Bissell-plus, the suction is far better.
I’ve never left a review before, but customers must we warned & Bissell must be held accountable. I meticulously followed all instructions & was left with an entire room of soapy carpet. After 40 hours of dry time from my initial cleaning, rinse, & dry session & realizing how sticky the carpet was, I spent 5 hours rinsing the carpet & going back & forth with this vacuum today. The more I used the vacuum either rinsing or dry runs, the sudsier the carpet got. An absolute horror scene. Constantly wiping soapy foam off the bottom of the vacuum to rid the carpet of the suds I could. Leaning over in pain to constantly turn the vacuum on & off to do this. No section ever completely being rid of the suds. This vacuum, the solution, & the usage recommendations are completely irresponsible & come at the expense of sticky, soapy carpets that get much wetter than you want them to from desperate efforts to rinse in the aftermath of using this product. What a horrible use of money, time, & physical energy.
Ok so here is the good :Super light weight ! Even when the cleaning solution reservoir is full and the dirty water tank gets full u can literally move this with one finger !Cleans very well. You have to spray a lot of solution that’s in cleaning tank for it to work but it works very fast and very well. My old carpet looked very very good after just one round of cleaningThe bad :The engineering of the components is very interesting and is full of useless crevices and little hollow holes that not only sucks in carpet dirt wool and crud but is hell to clean ! Every time I’m done using this machine I have to sit down with at least ten q tips to take those gunk residue out for I’m sure if left behind it will affect the performance and will probably smell .THE UGLY ... MoreOk so here is the good :Super light weight ! First of all the brush is fixed to the machine so the only way it can come out when you have to replace it with belt and have to use tools to open the nuts and bolts . So if you wanna clean the brush that’s full of carpet wool and gunk get ready to get your hands dirty . Also the way the machine is it’s very hard to clean the dirt in the front part . Once again I had to use quarter of a paper towel roll to clean the brush part and entering those crevices where the brush is housed was painful . You have to clean the bottom of the carpet cleaner that’s a flat surface to make sure it won’t mess up the carpet that you just cleaned .Over all I think it’s a decent cleaner with a speedy brush and good suction for the price point . I preferred this on portable cleaners for u can clean it all standing up and don’t have to be on your hands and knees with small machines and do intensive labor . I wish they redesigned the assembly to help it stay clean
My old carpet cleaner stopped working, so it was time to look for a new one. This was one of the most reasonably priced cleaners I saw, so I started sifting through all the reviews. I decided to give it a try and here are my thoughts.Very easy to assemble. Parts just snap together with no tools needed. The assembled unit is very light weight. Super easy to use. For me, I wanted to do small areas at a time, so it really wasn't too bothersome, but you can expect to only be able to clean about 20-30 square feet at a time before having to either empty the dirty water or refill the clean water (there are two separate tanks). Again, for cleaning small areas, this is perfect.Once you are done cleaning the carpet, this unit is very easy to clean.I would recommend this cleaner to anyone cleaning small areas and who doesn't want to spend a ton of money on a cleaner costing hundreds of dollars. It's perfect for that and does a great job.
