I changed to Blackhawk as a brand for my rescue cats when I had a Labrador pup who loved Blackhawk. I'm so glad I did. Sure its more expensive than what I was previously buying but its so much better for them and affordable when purchased in bulk (especially when it is on sale) at Pet Circle. I alternate between "Chicken & Rice" and "Fish". Keeps them interested. Works for them ... works for me, and of course its delivered right to your front door.

My cats won't eat this unless they have no other choice - even then they waste it. I have 7 cats, 5 of them outside vineyard cats and not one of them likes it. I'm extremely disappointed as I purchased a 15kg bag. I've requested a refund or replacement from Black Hawk but I have heard nothing.

One of my cats has medium hair, so, longer than the average and it’s so soft. Since moving completely onto Blackhawk his fur is even softer and there are no more clumps of hair littering the front door mat where he likes to sit.My other short haired cat also seems to be benefiting from Blackhawk as well. His fur seems cleaner.
Well being aware of the fussiness of felines, I made sure I introduced the new dry kibble gradually.And I noticed a gradual increase in the pong coming from the kitty litter tray. The wee seemed extra concentrated .I don’t know whether I’ve become immune to the smell or not, because this seems to have settled, maybe the cat is drinking more?I may switch back to the old diet. I chose Black Hawk because it’s Aussie made, but I’m nervous about possible adverse kidney reactions to it.

It also came in 15kg bags which you seldom find in other brands of dry cat food, so that was a plus. When I ordered from mypetwarehouse I’m happy to say it arrived promptly, within 2 days of me ordering it and the package arrived very personalised, treats for cats and treats for humans enclosed. When I opened the bag it didn’t smell horrible like how other, less quality cat foods can smell. The cats of course had the final say and I’m happy to say they loved it! I've done some research when I choose it.Basically just found a blogs said what nutrition should be in what percentage or rangeThen after comparing with many others, I found this one are the perfect match and meanwhile not too expensiveAnyway, after I switched to this cat food. My adult cat gained weight from 3.6 to now 4.2just in 1-2 months, which I can obviously see her eating more food then before.When I pour food in, she shows up. She never done that with previous dry food.Just love it
After spending hours looking at reviews and trying to find a kitten food that was actually good for my kittens I went with black hawk. Bonus points that it was Australian!My kittens were never a fan of the supermarket stuff I tried and when I gave them this, well you would have thought I'd never fed them before! They scoffed it! Price wise it is still on the expensive side but comparing it to the other higher quality products it was actually reasonably priced.The kibble is really small so easy for little kittens to eat and it actually smell fresh, not dried, dusty crap. Very happy and will continue to buy ??
Purchased this a few weeks ago for my 4 cats (yes, you read that right. Four. Sigh. Don't judge). One of those cats would eat only one particular brand of sachet, the two kittens ate only one brand of canned meat. Old cat, god love her, would eat any kind of biscuits (she's a rescue, and just grateful for anything!) It was costing me a small fortune in wet meat, (large can plus, 2 sachets every day) not to mention the resulting kitty litter costs. I putthe Black Hawk in an auto feeder and within 2-3 days found all 4 cats are eating far smaller quantities than they were of the mid-priced biscuits, and none of them 'demand' the wet meat, as they had been doing twice a day. have been feeding my cats blackhawk for at least two years now. they were previously on science diet. i switched from science diet because i noticed the cats gaining weight, despite putting them on diet food / indoor only food. since switching to blackhawk, my cats are healthier (normal weight range) and happier. their coats have a nice shine to it and feel so soft and plush. i believe blackhawk is great quality food and more affordable (and worth it) than "premium brands" (science diet, royal canin, etc.) that seem to be full of fillers in the food. happy to be supporting blackhawk who seems to care about the pets health and wellbeing. have recommended it to friends who have since switched over to blackhawk.
