Sturdy enough and having it lift up is super handy. Makes it easy to comfortably do a jigsaw in front of the tv and the storage is great for my laptop and other gaming things. Only down side is building it. The base is easy enough but adding the table top was a nightmare. Ended up having to do the final 2 steps in reverse and enlisted a second person to help. As much as i love the final product, i wouldn't want to build it again.

Not the quality I was expecting from Myer.Parts of the hardware were faulty and had to be purchased elsewhere to build and use the table.The lift out component is not smooth and is jolty as it transitions. I am worried about fingers being jammed every time with how it slams down at the end.When lifted up it does feel quite stable for using as a writing desk / puzzle station.I did think the hidden section would be deeper for better storage use but otherwise it is okay.The base shelf is good.I use it as a makeshift desk and have found it good. Initial set up issues and the lifting mechanism are the only downfalls for me.

I would give this item more stars except when it comes to screwing the table top on, you can NOT screw the springs to the inside of the table as you can't see or fell the back screws. I managed to get in the first two rows of screws but because there is only a very small gap between the table top and the table. you cannot see what you are doing and you can just about get your arm in the gap.I have only been able to screw two screws on each side ( should be three) I am assuming the springs will evenly break down. I am assuming that the sellers of this table has never tried to put it together? The picture they show of the table makes it look like there is a big space between the table and the top but there is not!! Its a good product, Value for money. Stable and sturdy. Its made of chipboard and laminate but compares very well to Ikea. I would say better than Ikea in terms of strength. Assembly is simple except for the last step where you might need 2 people. A stack of books will do the trick as well if you dont have help form another person. If you have never assembled furniture before then it could take a couple of hours as long as you follow every step carefully. Its easy to chip corners like any flat pack so one has to be careful while assembly.
I liked the modern black looks and compact space saving size; perfect for my small lounge. The supplied fittings were of good quality - and the pictures for assembly helpful. It was a little complex in actual assembly - and did my head in for a bit; but went together well in the end.

Storage compartment fixings are sub par. Final finish on edges are pretty sharp. It’s a little bit tricky to lift up, you have to hold both sides evenly when lifting and lowering. It works and does the job. It is a cheap table so it’s okay for the price.
I don’t usually review items. But this was not easy to put together and I usually enjoy flat backs. The instructions are not step by step, some of the pieces had slight dents or scratches, and the dowels where rather small for holding things together. And to screw the hinges in for the top piece was difficult even with assistance holding it in place. The finish product is okay but not great. I would not recommend.
Very easy to assemble and looks great. Room for jigsaw puzzles, magazines, coasters or books under the lift up top. Bottom shelf also comes in handy.Got mine for a disabled friend so made it mobile by adding castors (4 wood blocks 70mm X 70mm X 50mm (painted black) fit flush in corners, then add castors - got everything from Bunnings).Very happy.
Well laid-out instructions and well-marked components, but material quality was quite low. Low-density fibreboard means chipping is quite easy, whilst the plastic laminate looks like it'll peel off within months. The mechanism, labelled on the box as "gast lift," is a cheap spring bracket assembly - and that assembly needed to be "persuaded" with the aid of a hammer in order to function properly without jamming against the sides of the table. All in all, acceptable quality for the price - but I'd suggest investing $50-$100 more for something better. I bought this for $84 using an eBay Plus promo code, glad I didn't fork out the $150-$200 asking price some sellers are demanding!
