BlackVue DR970X-2CH 4K UHD Flagship Front and Rear Dash Camera with Wifi

The stellar techs at The Dashcam Store helped me pick out this camera for my 2023 Subaru Crosstrek. The cameras are compact and they basically blend right in (I don’t even notice it any more). I had a local shop hardwired them to my vehicle. The front camera was installed just below the driver’s side sun visor, rear camera was installed to the middle of the headliner. Both front and rear cameras are easy to use, they provides great play back and clear images. I also most recently picked up the LTE Module to accompany the dash cam, as well as the cloud services. Simple fix was just to apply a small piece of tape over the light while I'm out in the wild.I am very thankful I found The Dashcam Store and value their assistance. Recently upgraded to DR900S-2ch w/ B-124 battery for my wife and my vehicle up from a Lukus LK-9390. The blackvue front cam picture quality is unsurpassed which is #1 reason for having Dash cam. Ability to download captured, vital, video via WiFi to smartphone made purchase a no brainer. The highs and lows have been pointed out by other viewers. The bottom line is I'm a retired cop. The #1 major mistake people make when purchasing surveillance equipment / cameras is to purchase by PRICE. When a significant event occurs, they than realize that their cost savings has cost them the lack of credible COURT evidence. Ask yourself, "What good is surveillance equipment if it cannot provide you with "Court Quality" evidence / pictures. Distorted faces, vehicles, and surroundings has no value when a defendant's lawyer can say "Your Honor, we can't tell who that person is, can't read the license plate on vehicle, nor can we clearly see that this is my client's vehicle. Don't substitute Quality, for price, when it comes to your well being. Think "kidnapping", "assaults", "road rage", "hit and runs", "car thefts", "larceny from vehicle", "vandalism", Illegal and improper traffic stops, and arrest, and the list goes on. Would you not want to have the very best video, and audio available at the time? I do, and this peace of mind for both my wife and I are priceless. The wifi and software needs a little bit more work. I purchased the BlackVue 900S 2CH for my Chevy Caprice. I've had great experience with older BlackVue models and the 4K option was appealing. The installation was straight forward and about what you'd expect. I did purchase the Power Magic Pro hardwire kit. The visual quality of the 4K front camera versus the 1080p HD rear camera is significant. You can make out license plates from a much farther distance. Road signs, even at high speed, are easy to see on the BlackVue playback app.Be aware that BlackVue cameras are VERY picky about the micro sd card you choose. Forget using the cheap Sandisk or Samsung cards. I had one of these in an older BlackVue and the camera rebooted randomly and frequently. Lexar Part # LSDMI64GB1NL300A.Lexar 633X 128GB micro SD card. Lexar Part # LSDMI128BBNL633A.These have worked flawlessly. BlackBoxMyCar: You should really be selling these, rather than BlackVue's absurdly overpriced cards.
