My husband just got a new truck and his stock radio came compatible with android auto. I would watch him send and receive text messages, view navagation hands-free and play his music. I was so jealous! My car is a 2013 and doesn't have that. How happy I was to get this receiver! It's like I have a new car! Beautiful, clear large display. The usb is easy to access (unlike my old set up where I had to contort my body to reach the usb plug at the bottom of the armrest). I love being able to be completely hand's free with texts, maps and music. I have an android phone and it synched seamlessly with it.Installation was easy.I'm really pleased with this unit and would highly recommend it.

Android Auto works well but only from the screen side USB plug. There's a second USB plug in the back that works for thumb drives.I couldn't get it to play mp4 videos. I don't really care since it's a car but still...Controlling the volume is awkward--you have to press the volume button and then use on screen slider. Good thing there's steering wheel control input if you can make that work. The wiring is something of a mystery but it's just a stereo so cut and paste to a factory adapter from Scosche or Metra.The SD card reader is nice. Navigating folders is OK but somewhat primitive. Not really something you want to do while driving.I'm returning mine because I don't want a USB cable sticking out of the front of my dashboard. Every possible feature any radio has. I bought this for my other Toyota and there’s not a feature that any radio you can find that this one does not already have. The price was a little high but well worth it. Connect to your iPhone or android perfectly
I received this Blaupunkt 6.8 InDash TouchScreen Receiver, Apple Carplay/Android Auto for free through the Walmart Spark Reviewer’s program. I had to get this professionally installed in my vehicle. You can attempt to do this yourself I guess if you feel comfortable with wiring and such in your car but I would highly recommend you get this done by a professional if you want it to work correctly. That aside, I use this with an android device, a Samsung Galaxy S9 to be more specific, and it works great with it! I’m able to play music and take calls through the device without even touching my phone. I just put it on car mode and let the device do all of the work. This head unit is amazing for the price. The UI is fast and super intuitive. Even better than Sony and JVC. Apple CarPlay is a bonus. The only weird thing is that for CarPlay you have to use the front USB port. The USB on the rear of the unit is charge only. This sucks as I was hoping to install a USB port in my console and not use the front USB port. All in all I’m in love though and the price is just icing on the cake.
We put this in our 18 year old daughter's Toyota Camry and she loves it! It was super easy to install, I think it took my husband like not even 30 minutes to install it. The sound is great and the functions are nice. The only cons is you have to touch a button to get the volume to pop up on the screen and then slide it back and forth, this is kind of difficult to do while driving especially if you're a newer driver. You don't want to take your eyes off of the rode. The only other downfall is sometimes the touch screen doesn't read your touch. Most of the time it works well but every so often you have to touch a few times to get it to register.
I have a 1999 Mustang and while I loved the speakers the radio had only cd and cassette features (no Bluetooth) and is extremely difficult to change. I just purchased a 1995 Blazer and found out this radio fits! It’s amazing....Apple and Google car features, Bluetooth and a huge screen and easy functions. I definitely would recommend this radio!
I know that one day is a little early to give a full in depth review, but this head unit seems to be a great full media option. The Android Auto works great with my phone. Carplay seems to work great with my son's. Interface is very clean and crisp. Bluetooth is easy to pair. All in all very impressive. Hopefully it gives years of great service.
This radio head unit itself is very good. I ordered 2 of these units. One box did not have the wire harness that was needed, and the other box was missing the RCA output harness. Both did not come with the remote control as pictured in the listing. The actual box and instruction manual does not mention a remote at all. So I'm highly disappointed with the vendor who actually sold the radio's but I'm happy with the radio's myself. I was able to go on amazon and purchase the correct power harness. Sure, I could have returned them both but I'm 100% positive they would have just resold them to the next person.
