I've had my blendtec blender base since 2021!!! I probably should have replaced the blender jar a few years sooner, just due to discoloration but the jar still performed perfect. I finally replaced it due to the underside of the jar rusting where the blade sits. I've used my blender 981 times!! I love the counter feat, it's so fun to see how long it's held up! I 1000% recommend getting one of these. It may be the last blender you ever need!

I use this jar a lot. It's great for cake, muffin, and brownie batters. Everything goes in there (wet ingredients first), you press a button, then you have batter. Pouring into muffin tins or ramekins is easy because of the jar's square shape. Then, cleanup is just a matter of adding some hot water from the sink and a bit of dish soap, then pressing another button (you might have to repeat the process with batter, but once is enough with smoothies). It takes time and patience (at least ten minutes of continuous care) to make thicker things like nut butters, hummus, and homemade lara bars, and a little less for ice cream, but it can be done by pulsing for a few seconds, scraping the contents back towards the blades, and repeating. It makes good nut flours and chickpea flour, but its rice flour, tapioca flour, and powdered sugar are too grainy for my taste. Make sure you don't get lazy with cleaning it right away. If you leave it, then you'll have to soak it in the sink, and the seal at the bottom that keeps the contents from dripping out will weaken (as I've experienced after three years of doing this). You can also spin the blades manually (with the blender unplugged!) before you use it to save the seal.source blendtec.com

The blendtec works great when it is new, the motor is super powerful but the jar is trash. Not functionally but with regards to how it holds up. The seals and bearings fail after light use and cannot be serviced. I wouldn’t have purchased a blendtec had I knew this, the vitamix is servicible. Basically the jar is good for 50-100 uses and then it stops working correctly, leaks and then catastrophically fails. Not good for an expensive product. The design could relatively easily be changed to use a gasket and ring so the blades could be repaired or replaced.

My jar bearing is broken AGAIN. I bought a replacement jar at a local dealer to replace the one that originally came with my blender and broke after only a few years. Now this one is 3 years old and the bearing is sticking and won't blend correctly and making the motor run strangely AGAIN. I'm so angry.
Great jar and total machine Only why I didn’t give 5 stars cause this is my 3rd jar I had to buy. It holds up well until a couple of years and than it starts to leak… has to throw out 2. Finally got my 3 rd. But I love this blender. It works very well. Just wis the jar would hold up longer. They are expensive and got to get from USA. Extra money
After a few months, I bought a replacement jar after my blender started shredding the first one into my food not long after purchase. When the blender broke down, I started working with a customer service rep who sent me a questionairre about the problem which I filled out immediately and returned. I was put on the back burner, no response, no solution, not any kind of word at all whether or not it was a warranty item or not, etc.. I tried several more attempts at contact to figure out my next steps to resolve my problem and each time I was completely and totally ignored. Not one word from Blendtec period. I didn't just fall through the cracks which can happen, Blendtec was unreponsive. Finally after some months I just ordered the jar and started using my blender ... MoreAfter a few months, I bought a replacement jar after my blender started shredding the first one into my food not long after purchase. My feeling is that a product is only as good as the company behind it. I would have purchased a new jar right away if someone would have just told me straight out that is what was needed. To be completely ignored repeatedly isn't in keeping with this quality product. I love my Blendtec blender. It gets a 5 star rating the customer service a zero, so that is why I rated it a 3. It does everything it should and more.source blendtec.com
My jar works fine, but the sour smell is putrid and astonishing. I wash it right away after ever single blend and it still stinks! I've tried bleach, vinegar and baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and basic soap, nothing gets rid of the nauseous smell. I have to replace the jar every year or so because it stinks so bad and the smell works its way into the blend. I've even cleaned the base and no luck.
I bought the Blendtec about 8 years ago at Costco. I didn't use it very much but I haven't used it in at least 5 years! It's been sitting in the corner of my spare room because the spindle in the jar began to LEAK!!! I was very disgusted. Why would the spindle on such an expensive blender leak? And why would the sales rep brag so much about how "strong the jar is"? They said it is bullet proof and would grind a hockey puck!!!I'm going to order another jar, but if this one leaks, too - - I'll toss the whole thing and never buy from you again as well as letting my friends know what happened. It is very disheartening when you invest your hard-earned money and end up with garbage!
We shall see. The original jar lasted 527 uses in less than three years. My wife uses this just about every day to make a smoothie to take to work. I used it during chemo treatments to help with calories. I wish this jar could be repaired. The top needs sealed by the bottom should be able to be serviced. The bearings went out on the original. Get some bearings for American Roller Bearing Company.
I bought my Blendtec blender many years ago from a roommate leaving to move overseas and for the last few months, it had been making a HORRIBLY loud sound. I was afraid the base motor may have finally kicked the bucket after multiple years of daily smoothies. Not wanting to spend $$$$ on a new blender or add mine to the e-waste trash pile, I bought this new jar. Lo and behold, it turns out the blades on the old jar were the culprit of the loud noise! Now my blender runs much quieter and the new sharp blades quickly blend ice and more. The updated shape also does a better job at getting all the ingredients so I don't have to use a spatula constantly to mix up dryer recipes.
