Blue Diamond 5 Quart Ceramic Saute Pan

If I could give this pot and company a zero I would! Awful waste of money and time pots! This one in particular… I just bought a few weeks ago and just started using it this week. The paint has chipped off. Brand new pot with chipped paint! It’s bubbling and chipping off. The company refuses to help me or even replace it. They said using spray/oil voids the warranty. I just bought this! Spray/oil isn’t even used on the bottom of the pan! Cheap crappy pans! Don’t waste your money or time on any of the Diamond pans!

Best Cookware

I bought one pan to try this line of cookware. I cooked in it for awhile and it performed exactly as it claimed. The nonstick is amazing. Everything just slides out and clean up is so easy. I loved it so much that I eventually bought an entire set of Blue Diamond HD which is the hard anodized set and claims to hold up even better than the original Blue Diamond. I cook everyday so I use this cookware a lot.

Disappointed in product

I purchased this pan after seeing that it had four and a half stars. From the very first time I used it everything sticks in this pan. I started actually reading some of the reviews and noticed others having the same issue. I saw the recommendations from the company on how to prevent the sticking and tried them. There is still no change after I followed these instructions. Everything still continues to stick. I am very disappointed with this product and would not recommend it.

Great everything pan. Huge, Sturdy, Silky.

The Suate pan is HUGE, really huge and heavy, but feels durable, solid, and stable. It does heat fairly evenly however my burner is only 6" and the pan is 12 ", diameter so for me, the sides are definitely not as even as the center.Do eggs stick? Of course, if you don't use butter or spray of course they will stick a bit. I always use a little butter and the pan is silky smooth.Ive made pancakes, Fried chicken (oil) used it with stirfry, eggs, hanburgers, hotdogs, Tacos etc. I think its great.The handle stays nice and cool, the smaller handle on the opposite side does get warm though.I mostly use plastic utensils, even though they say metal safe. Also, I use Medium-High, Never high heat, so I dont see any warping.It says oven safe, but I have not tried it yet. So far Im happy with the purchase and seeing the over all size, I think it may be my "go to" pan of choice for family cooking. I purchased it because A. My overpriced "Rachel Ray" Teflon pan was scratching %26 peeling badly, the plastic handle is"crackeing" and B. I was tired of cooking food in multiple batches because the pan was not big enough.

Not worth the $

This pan is garbage. Buy it only if you want your food to burn (unevenly) on the lowest heat setting after about 5 minutes. First, the bottom of this pan is not level. The center is raised slightly, meaning if you have roly-poly food in the pan (peas for example), it'll all slide to the sides of the pan. If anything stays in the center, that seems to be the 1st place food will burn.I even have a scorch mark underneath, and not in the center.The pan is lightweight, but thin, especially the bottom. I prefer a pan that has a thicker bottom, so it heats more slowly and holds it better, and doesn't burn everything.

Slick Pan

I was looking for a saute pan of this size and configuration, and this fit the bill. The nonstick coating is very slick. I preheated the pan on medium -- not using high heat as instructed to prevent warpage of any pan -- and indeed, the exterior bottom stayed very flat. However, I did notice while cooking that the interior seemed a bit convex, which made the small amount of liquid I was using go to the outside edge of the pan. Really was not a problem in how welll it cooked. I cleaned it in the dishwasher, and it came out fine. Cannot really determine durability at this early stage, but so far I am happy with this pan. It's attractive, very heavy, cooks evenly and cleans up easily. At a price of ~$40, it doesn't break the bank and seems like a good value.

So far I love it

Heavy, solid cookware. Seems like it will last a while and last through my kids using it to cook too. Don’t plan to use metal on it but states you can. I don’t want to risk it but it doesn’t feel like it scratches easy. Things slide right off of it too. Minimal oil usage for sure.

They stick!!

I am amazed at the raving reviews for these pans. Perhaps i got a dud set. I have both the set and this large one. They stick horribly! I've added oil and it doesnt help. I have had cheap pans bought new that are much better than these! Im mad i wasted my big birthday present i got from my husband on these! The only thing nice is they are pretty, but that doesnt matter much when everything sticks like an old cheap pan would ☹

Worked great for a few days but then...

It worked great for 1 week. I usually buy the least expensive pan I can find which will last me a year or so but this time I figured I'd spend a little more and get one that will last longer. The reviews appeared to be decent so I bought the 12" Blue Diamond skillet. I always wash my non-stick cookware by hand but after only one week of using this the center of the skillet began flaking off and food began sticking. I don't have my receipt or else I'd get my money back. Buyer beware.
