This Blue Sea Systems 285 Series DC Circuit Breaker provides medium-duty protection for 25 to 200 amp loads. It is made for situations when switching and circuit protection are both required and is a drop in replacement for the 185-series. This panel mount circuit breaker is trip-free and cannot be held closed after trip. It has a visible reset lever that shows it in the open condition. The maximum operating voltage for this thermal circuit breaker is 48 volts DC. It meets SAE J1171 external ignition protection requirements. It is also IP67-protected when placed in up to a meter of water for 30 minutes. This keeps it safe from shorting in most normal circumstances. It is available in several different amp configurations.
