I love seeing dust and particulate matter being pulled willy-nilly towards the Blue Pure 211+ when the sunlight is streaming in. It highlights just how quickly it can clear the room when a dog shakes its head/ears or someone folds laundry, especially on the high setting. I am grateful that I'm not breathing that in! I've owned Dyson, Germ Guardian and other brand purifiers, but NOTHING comes close to our two Blue Air 211+ and our 605 (I think; it's the big one) at all as far as performance is concerned. And if you live near any wildfire smoke during the summer like we do in WA, THESE WORK. We also have 3 senior rescue dogs and 2 senior rescue kitties, and these help considerably with their dander.

Using this filter for over a year and my allergy symptoms have improved so much that I’ve brought my machine and this filter on a family trip, setting it up in the rental house. I love clean ‘BluAir’ so much! My parents realized they were tired of having sub-par air quality in their home, and bought 2 Blue Pure 211+ Auto machines, also with these filters. The machine is very quiet, too, which was a HUGE draw for all of us.I am not compensated for this opinion, but sharing it simply to help others.

Excellent filter for an excellent air purifier, and EASY to install. I bought two units some years ago for wildfire smoke, and they performed very well. They continued to perform well when we welcomed a new family member with extensive allergies and chemical sensitivities (and bought her a unit). Our first Thanksgiving gathering as the COVID shutdown was lifting was far safer and more enjoyable as we had our units working at top efficiency. I like the convenience of a subscription, and it keeps me current.
My filter light turned orange after about 6 weeks and kept doing so over and over and now turned red. I replaced it but the filter was not even very dirty, but it now turned red. Its been maybe 4 months. The family room with a lot of use is has not changed colors and was replaced weeks before the bedroom. Will watch if this happens again. The room is a my bedroom and is not a dirty room.

After a three weeks the purified air coming from the top fan began to smell like wildfire smoke. I discarded the old filter, washed the metal case with soap and water, thoroughly dried it, and replaced the filter. I wash the outer fabric filter once to twice per week. After installation the new filter has an unusual musty smell, quite different from the filter that arrived pre-installed with the purifier unit. I bought this filter machine about 8 months ago. It seems to be doing the job as demonstrated by particulate buildup on the filter element. I run the thing in low speed because of the noise and the concern about electrical use from continuous operation. I changed the initial filter at the recommended 6-month interval, but activated a filter renewal subscription at 8-9 months because the filter wasn't actually very dirty. Note, the house hvac filter is changed regularly and I keep the house closed up (windows are opened occasionally to exchange the air) to minimize particulates from getting in, so the Blueair machine is kind of a final scrubber. All said, everyone in our house feels like we're getting value for the cost in keeping the air clear and having less dust.
It won't stop running on high when on auto setting. I wouldn't have bought an auto unit if I wanted that. I've changed the filter and held the power button down for 15 seconds, like the instructions say, several times, and it'll run at low speed while on the auto setting for a few minutes, but then it ramps up to high again and never goes down. Our smaller Blue model can sit in the same place, on the auto setting, and never go up to high, but apparently this 211 Auto has no chill and has to be running at high speed no matter what. Lame.
I am not very happy with the replacement filter as it does not appear to be the same quality as the original filter that came with the unit. The first thing I noticed was the strong chemical/plastic smell that has somewhat dissipated after a couple weeks' use but is still noticeable. Secondly, it does not seem to purify the air as well as the original filter as smells still linger the next day, especially after cooking. My migraines and allergies have also started bothering me again with this new filter, which was not an issue with the original. This is very surprising considering that the replacement filter for my 411 (ordered and replaced at the same time) seems to work as well as the original but I am having issues with this one.
Ordered two filters for my Pure 211 (one for backup), and they arrived promptly and in excellent condition by being well packaged. Was concerned whether I would need to find someone to install the new filter for me; however, the directions were clear, and the installation was simple. My old filter had turned light tan from use. Nice to know the air is being cleaned well again. Also appreciate that the old filter could be put in my recycle bin.
