I bought two of the EP500 Pro units that don't seem to be available now on the Kickstarter program. They can output more power for peak demand and have two 1200 watt solar inputs but beyond that are similar to the EP500. I like the units and I especially like the fact that they can leave with me if I sell my house. They are currently only set up to allow me to ride out a short power outage and can do that job very well. My plan is to connect them to a sub-panel so that I can power certain outlets and lighting circuits in the house during a power outage. I have Tesla solar panels but they cannot be used when the grid down ( Powerwall needed for that capability ). The EP500 units can take a PV array with a max Voc of 150 volts which equates to three modern rooftop ... MoreI bought two of the EP500 Pro units that don't seem to be available now on the Kickstarter program. I can't decide if it is worth putting panels on the roof and permanently wiring them into the EP500s or just having them stacked to lay out on the drive if we have a prolonged outage.Overall, happy with the product. Note that they draw a full 15 amps to recharge so they need to go directly into the wall or else you have to use a very heavy duty extension cord - 12 gauge - if you want to avoid fire risk and melting plastic smells.

I own several pieces of Bluetti equipment and each and every one is top of the line in my opinion. I have 2 X EP500, EB55 plus panels and my star of the show is an AC300 with 4 B300 batteries, which are connected in the house to their own 2.4kw solar arrays. I pay no power bills at all as the AC300 is connected to the outside kitchen oven and induction cooktop. Each room in the house has a double power point connected to the AC300 for emergency lighting etc. The APP is just amazing as I can control and change the operational functions on the fly remotely. The four fridges and freezers run permanently on the AC300 as power dropouts are a fairly regular thing, the house also has a 6.5kw solar array which runs the house during the day but the house is switched to the ... MoreI own several pieces of Bluetti equipment and each and every one is top of the line in my opinion. It truly has been a life changing experience and would I would have no problem recommending Bluetti equipment to anyone and everyone, I can’t wait for the AC180 to become available for my trips to the bush

PART 2: I like the EP500s I purchased, except that they were marketed as being a "whole house" back-up system. What I've discovered after purchase, is that they are in fact, not really capable of that. If your home was built in the last ~20 -30 years or so, it likely has 30 amp heating/cooling, a 30 amp water heater (perhaps). These whole house systems of 30 amps cannot be run with the EP500s, even in SPB status. The whole house systems also require too much wattage to be run with the EP500s If you wish to run a portable air conditioner and heat/cool your house with space heaters and fans, I believe that can be handled. I bought my EP500 during the kickstarter campaign. After production, it arrived quickly, delivered to my door step, no damage - packed very well and included all the listed accessories. It arrived at about 85% charge level. It quickly charged to 100% when connected to grid power. Once I connected it to my solar panels it charges great. Note: it seems to lose about 5% charge per day if not connected to any charging source. I also purchased the 240v split-bonding parts to be able to generate 240v power (I'm not sure why Bluetti didn't just offer the option to include a step-up transformer to achieve limited 240v power...that would be great.) Overall very happy. One issue: one of the MC4 connectors they provided would not release the cable. The small tabs were ... MoreI bought my EP500 during the kickstarter campaign. They sent me another MC4 adapter after a few requests through tech support - that one works great. I plan to purchase another EP500. I think they should also offer MC4 cables, fuses and a quick-disconnect (both required by the NEC) so the entire package would be complete.
I ordered my EP500 back in August 2021, via kickstarter/indiegogo, before it was officially added to the Bluetti online store. I live on the East coast of Florida, and I'm subject to multi-day power outages due to hurricanes. My favorite points about the EP500:1) LiFePO4 battery chemistry has long life and is very safe from thermal runaway (that is, very unlikely to have a battery fire). It has plenty of energy to power my security system, computers, and internet connection for days without grid power.2) User interface is good (but some problems with the phone app, see below). Touchscreen is responsive and easy to read.3) The sturdy casters make it convenient to move around (indoors), in spite of its heavy weight.4) Output AC power quality is very high. Touchscreen is responsive and easy to read.3) The sturdy casters make it convenient to move around (indoors), in spite of its heavy weight.4) Output AC power quality is very high. I checked it on my oscilloscope using various types of loads with different reactances and power factors. Switchover in offline UPS mode is specified as 20mS (that's 0.02 seconds), but I measured it several times, and it always switched over within 17.6mS. There is zero switching delay in online UPS mode.I had a few problems with the Android smartphone app v1.0.9, and contacted Bluetti support in October 2021 about them. So far, none of the app issues are fixed. Here's a list of the issues:1) The app doesn't allow WPA-PSK passphrases with punctuation, and is limited to max passphrase length of about 40 characters. I have to change my WiFi passphrase to a weaker shorter one if I want to connect via WiFi. Connection via Bluetooth is fine, though.2) Manually entering the serial number on the app did not work for my serial number. I got a "Device does not exist" error. I had to photograph the QR code and feed the photo to the app to register my device to my smartphone.3) The app can't be linked to your Bluetti.com account if your password contains punctuation. I had to change my Bluetti account password to a weak one with just letters and numbers, and no punctuation. The EP500 is better than the Ecoflo DELTA Max, because the Max has higher cost per kWh and uses inferior NCM battery chemistry. The EP500 beats the Ecoflo DELTA Pro on cost per kWh.EP500 also beats Jackery Explorer 2000 and Anker 757 on cost per kWh as well.As long as the EP500 weight and total cost are not too much, it beats every non-Bluetti power station for value. If the EP500 weight or cost are an issue for you, consider the Bluetti AC200MAX or AC300, with your preferred amount of expansion batteries. Both the AC200MAX and AC300 can beat even the EP500 for cost per kWh, and are a bit more portable than the EP500 as well. But note that the AC200MAX doesn't have any equivalent to the EP500 or AC300 offline UPS mode. AC200 can be used as an online UPS, though, as long as the average load can be met by whatever charging system(s) you attach.
I connected this really great power station to my battery storage as an emergency generator in the event of a power failure and it works wonderfully. In addition, you can move them freely and have direct power connections. The power station can be charged via mains power, solar or generator. Therefore also theoretically transportable and usable independently. Presumably, this fails due to the high dead weight. For my purposes I am super satisfied with this power station. I could increase my battery storage and install an emergency power function. This allows me to run my house almost independently in the summer. I can operate several devices at the same time. It is also cheaper than the permanently installed version.
Nice unit, well worth the price. I also own it's big brother the AC200. This little guy won't power a 1200 watt resistive load like my AC200, but it is not rated for that. It only weighs 10-1/4 lbs so I always Carry it in my car to extend the runtime of my Iceco 12VDC cooler fridge . I love Bluetti products
The unit has been running for a week and seems to work as advertised. Pros: Wheels make it easy to move the unit. Firmware can be updated. Cons: 20 ms to switch from AC to battery is slow. Batteries not user-replaceable. Manual states "unit is not suitable for machines that require highly reliable power sources". A bit scary for my use case. But Line Interactive mode appears to work well enough. Double Conversion mode would work better but I am reluctant to use it -- fearing reduced battery life.I will give the unit another star if it runs for 3 years without failing.
Wow What a fabulous unit . I have tested it using led usb string lights. Simply amazing I also put my house fan on it No problem And I actullay plugged in my tea kettle and tried the boost No problems I needed a small unit to carrry conveniently And the price is really good I look forward to buy the 500 pro Thank you
I brought this unit on line and when it arrived i couldn't find the power cord. I notified Luxhomelifestyle and they put on in the mail almost immediately. When the wife went to toss the box she found the cord in a cutout of the bottom styrofoam. I never looked there i actual though i could see the bottom of the box. I did test it and worked prefect for my CPAC.This appears to be an excellent tool. It will be a great addition to my outing gear
