This promises to be a great boot, though quite different from a normal Blundstone. The sole and heel are definitely stiffer, not as soft as a normal Blundstone. No one would really confuse these with actual dress boots, but compared to ither Blundstones, they are definitely dressier. The leather is strong and supple, but may take a little more breaking in than normal for this brand.The only reason I took off a star is the color. When you call something Tan, one would expect a pretty light color. These aren't dark, but definitely aren't Tan. I'd call them more a Medium Brown. I guess I thought the photos were a bit dark, but the actual boots are a little darker than the photos. Love the Ãtem but untable to wear it Unfortunately is way bigger than a regular size 10. Did not realized I only had a few weeks to exchange and now I have a pair of beautifil boots that I can't wear.
My third pair of Blundstones- the others were 500 and 550s. These were a little tight and uncomfortable out of the box, but after a short break in period they feel better than my previous boots. They are now my most comfortable boots, and also easier to put on and take off than the 550s.
Great value for money. Stylish enough for dress, comfortable and protective of the ankle . Can wear to work or on wet streets. This is my second pair of Blundstone boots. My first was the more rugged original 500 style, extremely confortable and protective for wet fields or cold, wet city streets when traveling. Generous but well fitting US Size 10D. Never too tight. I like both. Would buy them again.
My first pair of blundstones were Tasmania 1870 150 year special edition . They are fabulous. I wear them all the time. My feet have neuropathy from agent orange and are very tender.The 1901s are not as comfortable and the toes drag when walking. I ha be a 20 year old pair of RM Williams that are slightly better.What happened? I expected the same comfort.
I questioned the fit at first. It felt tight and was about to return them but I decided to take out the inner sole and wear them that way a few times. I can wear them with the inner sole now as they feel better. Still, the instep is a little bit tight for me, making putting them on and taking them off somehow hard. I wish this style had vibram soles and the choice of shearling inside.
I absolutely love my boots! I wear them everyday to work and they are so comfortable.
They are super comfy and warm. I ordered size 6 and they fit a bit bigger, the size 5.5 was too small so I bought a insole at Blundstone to get the perfect fit. Very happy with my new boots!
