Oats are a good source of soluble fiber, and many believe they offer multiple health benefits. They contain beta-glucans, a special type of fiber that attaches to cholesterol and helps remove it from the body. Beta-glucans may protect against heart disease and are thought to help regulate blood sugar levels. Our Organic Quick Cooking Oats make a delicious and healthy whole grain "instant oatmeal" alternative to the little packets other brands offer—without the preservatives and sugar. Get a container, measure out enough oats for the week, and add in chia seeds, flaxseed meal, dried fruit, nuts and seeds! In the morning, scoop out a serving’s worth, add hot water, and let sit for about 5 minutes.

l love oats, not only nutrients but tasty as well. My favorite recipe with this great thing is to make healthy porridge to warm up my body and stimulate my intestines with high fiber. i make juice with 2 Tbsp of pine tree nuts, 1/2 tsp chopped garlics, and a pinch of ginger powder and salt. i mix them with 2 cups of water. and I boil them on low heat for about 10 mints. And I add tumeric powder and black bell peppers right before heat off. it turns out amazingly beautiful yellowish nutrient porridge. Try it and you ll never regret.~~

I was delighted to find Bob's Red Mill Organic Old Fashioned Rolled Oats on Amazon. I have always had to order these oats on line because the stores in my area carry only the gluten-free version of this cereal. The cereal I received from Amazon was fresh with a date of expiration well over 2 years in the future. I prefer to purchase the case, which includes 4 packages of 32oz bags. It is much more economical buying this product by the case than individual bags. The bags arrive housed in a heavy cardboard box which would be used as a display box in stores. I have been eating Bob's Red Mill Organic Old Fashioned Rolled Oats for a few years. I have been eating Bob's Red Mill Organic Old Fashioned Rolled Oats for a few years. I started having oatmeal for breakfast because I read so many books and watched so many doctors on TV extol the health benefits of whole grains, especially, whole grains from oats. Having always been concerned about my weight, I worried such a substantial breakfast would cause me to gain a few pounds. This has not been the case at all; in fact, just the opposite has happened. This cereal is low fat and cholesterol free. It is filling and that feeling lasts all through my morning. I have read the reason eating oatmeal makes you feel satisfied longer is because the fiber slows down the digestion of the oatmeal. Fiber from oats provide two types of fiber, soluble and insoluble. Both are important for good health but soluble fiber, in particular, has been acclaimed for it's role in the reduction of LDL (bad) cholesterol. Soluble fiber is fiber which dissolves in water and therefore absorbs the LDL cholesterol and takes it out of the body. If you did not have soluble fiber, the LDL cholesterol would be reabsorbed by the body. Insoluble fiber passes through the intestines and acts like a broom to help push the products of waste through your system. Each 1/2 cup dry measure of Bob's Red Mill Organic Old Fashioned Rolled Oats contain 5g of dietary fiber which consists of 1.6g of soluble fiber and 3.4g of insoluble fiber. I add a tablespoon or two of ground flaxseed to add fiber, omega3 and other essential fatty acids to my breakfast. I make this oatmeal every morning. The instructions on the bag read to bring water and salt to a boil and then add the oats. I prefer to bring the water to a boil with the oats in the pan. It seems the individual grains of oats are a little softer when you put them in cold water and then bring it to a boil. I don't add salt. I don't think it needs it for my taste. When the water reaches a boil, I lower the heat so that a mild simmer is maintained. I often sprinkle cinnamon on the oats. In 10 minutes I am ready to sit down to a nutritious, delicious, breakfast which will do my body good

Love oats and so far those available at the supermarkets here are not of top quality whole grains. Most contain gluten and added sugar. So if you are looking for whole grains, this is the go to. For years i use to only eat oats as daily breakfast and it helps with bowel movements. But the moment i stopped, i can see the difference. In addition, oats are also great as savory porridge and can also be added to your morning smoothies or yoghurt. Cooked the oats with half milk and half water n pinch of salt. The taste is so natural whole foods, and immediately you can taste and see the difference vs store bought mass brands. For sure i will buy this again. If you are health conscious buy the best organic whole grains you can! If you like this pls gimme a thumbs up.

Quality is great, ingredients and composition is clean and simple. Taste is as usual, like oats. Price is expensive for the size. Easy to use, but packaging can be improved. Supposed to benefit as a healthy addition. Great for breakfast, and easy to add and scale to desired serving size. Great recommendation.
Bob's always has the best ingredients, but the size, resealable package, and taste of these oats make them superior to other brands available! I like that I can always expect amazing quality, have the ease of use of a reusable pouch, and have plenty of oats for various breakfast recipes without needing to buy tons of small packs or decant packs into containers all the time. Needless to say, oats have various health benefits so this is a great option!
I like making refrigerated oats (i use yoghurt, blueberries, almonds, honey, oats) or protein shake (ingredients include oats, bananas, peanut butter, almonds, chia seeds, and add milk). Tastes good. It’s cheaper to buy on iHerb than my local grocery so I’m happy about that. Great quality oats for a healthy breakfast
