Boba Bliss V2 Baby Carrier Grey

The smell of this wrap is strong I’m not gonna lie. It says on the instructions not to machine wash unless absolutely necessary but I may have to. The smell is giving me a headache so I’m sure it’s strong for baby too. Read the instructions! Sounds obvious but I’m the type of person that doesn’t read instructions….but read these! They give helpful tips for comfort and safety. My baby is 3 months old and 12 pounds. She fits comfortably in it. Im headed to the airport with our first trip with her and it’s an international flight. So I am practicing with this and getting comfortable with it prior to our trip. I would suggest doing that if you have a trip or event coming up! It is a little bit of a trial and error with strap adjustments and making sure it feels good on your body and baby is secure! So far I feel like it feels really secure and I think it will be easier for travel. I’m glad I bought it. Hope this was helpful!

I caught this one on a lightning deal (the wrap with buckles) I'm a longtime babywearer and I was looking for something in the middle of a wrap and a soft structured carrier. It's easy and quick to put on! The adjustments are a little bit of a learning curve and you have to be gentle with them. If you pull too hard, I can imagine the webbing would rip from the wrap part. My newborn fell right to sleep in it! It can be challenging to get the straps up over your shoulders with out twisting them. There are also two fabric loops (with the boba label, as you can see in the photos) that fall off easily when the wrap is unbuckled. I can see those getting frustrating to keep track of, and I might end up taking them off before I lose them. I have been struggling to find a carrier that I felt like fit me and didn't smother my baby. I am 5'8" and 250lbs so finding a carrier hasn't been easy often it's to tight. This one is perfect and extremely easy to use. Highly recommend.Pros: clips on quick and easy no confusing wraps. Material is just stretchy enough to be comfy for all but wipes clean. The Little loop that comes down on the shoulder straps is unique to this carrier and is one of my favorite features. Makes it very customizable and I never feel like my baby's face is covered.Cons: more expensive than some other carriers.

Needles to say i washed it SIX times back to back with cold, warm and hot water used different detergents dreft, gain and dawn dish soap with baking soda and vinegar. By the 6th wash the smell was still there but not as strong and figured i would give it a go. I dried it on low and once dry the smell was tolerable but definitely not gone. In conclusion i love the carriers functionality however the smell makes it unusable for me personally. I dont think any baby product should have such a strong chemically scent i would assume its unhealthy for a baby to have that scent so close to their face especially for long perods of time. Im not sure if the smell is comming from the actual material or if it just penetrated to the material from the little dry bead bag that comes inside. I really wanted to love this carrier but the smell made it impossible.

The baby stays calm in the carrier allowing time for me to complete chores and just walking around. This unit is difficult to put on the first few times, with a little practice it becomes extremely easy to wear. I suggest you tighten the straps before placing the baby in the carrier as it is more difficult to adjust once wearing the unit.

Baby loves it

My baby calms down and drifts off to sleep super fast in our Boba bliss V2. I love this carrier for my baby when my toddler is at kindy. But when he is home and my hands are busy keeping up with him, I find the wrap keeps popping off my shoulders and end up around my neck, and so baby starts to sink down lower. I do have wide shoulders and am a size 14 so maybe that has a bearing. So I now have two carriers, bliss for when it’s just baby and I, and a more structured one for juggling a toddler and baby.Love that when baby is asleep you can tuck her head to the side and see that her face is clear.

Favourite carrier for under 6 months

I have 7 different carriers, from a K’Tan to slings, and a more off-road one designed for heavier bubs on a hike. The boba bliss is like a hybrid version of a wrap and a traditional buckle carrier. The fabric is wonderfully soft with decent stretch whilst the buckles mean there’s far less faff. No struggling with 5 metres of origami while your baby is crying. This is very easy to use, and carries the under 8kg baby very well. Over 6kg and it starts to feel a bit less secure, in part because by that time bub is often trying to stand rather than sit in a parent facing position. I also have a mini monkeys mini sling and a hip seat and I use these for my 6-month old every day. If you have a newborn I can highly recommend the Bliss. I have the sage and the posy colours and particularly love the posy. So cute. If I were to advise anyone on a carrier I would say get the boba bliss to start then grab a mini monkey as bub gets bigger/stronger yet still wants to be your conjoined twin. Later on once bub is heavier and you want to get hiking, invest in something like the MiaMily hipster. That’s also fantastic.

The perfect hybrid carrier

I absolutely love wearing my little one in this carrier. It is the perfect combination of safety and flexible material like a stretchy wrap mixed with the ease and convenience of a buckle carrier. I find it much easier and quicker to put on and adjust that my stretchy wraps and my baby feels super safe and secure. He will happily sleep for hours in this, cuddled up to my chest. It was perfect in a recent flight as it was comfortable for me to wear even whilst seated on the plane, not digging in at all.The only change I would make would be not to go for the original grey colour as it immediately shows all of the dribble. If I were to get another I would go for a darker colour.
