My favorite lip liner… just creamy enough to go on smoothly, but not so creamy that it wears off or smudges. This may not be normal, but when I NEED my lip color to really stay all day, I fill in my entire lip with just the liner (no lipstick) and then wear gloss over it. The gloss of course wears off, but the color stays and looks good enough until I can swipe some more gloss over it. The colors here are beige, burnt orange, and rum raisin. They’re all great colors. I’m tending to use the burnt orange more often recently just because, when applied lightly, it comes across as a summery coral.... Show more

A lovely pinky/nude lipliner
This is the review for the shade Ballet Pink.A lovely pinky/nude shade. It's been a while since I've purchased a Bobbi Brown lipliner and I wasn't disappointed. Easy to apply no dragging and not drying (also applied it on the entire lip area before putting lipstick over it) Took a point off as it needed re-applying after several hours and eating/drinking however I've yet to find a lipliner (even ones described as long lasting) that doesn't need re applying after a few hours. Will be checking out other shades.... Show more

Autumnal warm spice colors needed
I can't give it 5 stars. This lipliner works great but autumn warm spice colors have been omitted. There's NODeep apricot or terracotta. :(I loved "Spiced Apple" but now there's only Pumpkin orange which is is too orange.)There is no other color in that warm range. The same with the lipstick: Sweet Nectar is discontinued I suppose- haven't seen it.I was a Bobbi girl but now going elsewhere to find some basic warm tones.... I bought the colour "Pale Mauve" I am extremely critical & picky when it comes to makeup, I have an absolute huge collection yet I only use a few items on a regular daily basis! This is by far the best lip pencil I have ever bought & have used it everyday since purchase, will purchasing other colours.Really glides on perfectly, amazing pigment & colour, absolutely stays on and does not build up thick on the lips. Worth every penny, excellent excellent excellent... Show more

Disappointed in this product
I am a fan of Bobbie brown products but I purchased this item along with a lipstick. I asked the sales person if they are long wearing as I find it difficult to keep a lipstick on. She said these will work if combined. A complete waste of money - the lipstick was off before I reached the door the leave the store. Will not buy again.... Show more

Great lip liner, have been using for years
I have probably been using one of these lip liners for as long as I have been wearing Bobbi Brown cosmetics, which has been a very long time. I am a makeup fan, so I own many lip liners, but I could probably live on a desert Island with just BB's Cocoa and Nude. Nude was previously Brownie Pink, and the same comment applies. I use it as the BB SA's recommend, lipstick or gloss or balm first, and then outline the lips. It makes the lips look larger rather than closing them in. I also use Pink Mauve for brighter colors and Ballet Pink for a light nude look in summer, The only shade that is not in the line that I would love to see would be an autumnal warm spice color. There is a pumpkin color, but it is very, very orange. That color toned down with brown would have ... There is a pumpkin color, but it is very, very orange. That color toned down with brown would have more universal appeal. I don't mind sharpening because each pencil comes with a sharpener, and twist up pencils tend to break. The consistency of the pencil is not too sharp and not too soft, so you get the longest use possible from each one. I order backups of Cocoa and Nude whenever there is a sale, and the other two every couple of sales! I would welcome some new warm toned shades, but please, never discontinue the basics!!... Lovely lipliner
This Bobbi Brown lipliner pencil is a good product, gentle on the lips and long-lasting. I would certainly recommend, even bearing in mind that it is a premium product, so a tad expensive. The only slight downside is the difficulty of choosing the right colour, even in store, because the one I chose turned out to be a bit pale. However, I've got used to it and it is excellent for a slightly understated look which is very flattering.... Show more

My favorite neutrals
I could go anywhere with my Bobbi Brown lip pencils in cocoa, brownie pink and bobbi (the old one). . Unfortunately, bobbi was discontinued quite awhile ago. It was a warm, reddish brown neutral, not too bright. It had no relationship to the lipstick named Bobbi, which is a purplish tone . The brownie pink was also discontinued recently, but happily, the nude pencil is a great replacement, and could even replace cocoa in a pinch. But cocoa is a perfect warm light brown, that works with all my brown toned neutrals, so I'm very glad it is stilll available. Nude is a pink toned brown, that is perfect for that " my lips but better" look. Pinky mauve is a new color I discovered, not as neutral as Bobbi was, but a bright ( for me) warm pink that will be great as a pop of color for summer. I have very fair skin and red hair, so I really have to stick with neutrals, and these are the best I've found. You do have to sharpen the pencil, but each one comes with a sharpener, and they do not break with sharpening as many brands, even very expensive ones, do. So I do get fairly long use out of each pencil. They go on softly, and can be used to line the lip or fill it all in. I do like Bobbi's recommended way of putting lipstick on first and lip pencil around it. I find the lip looks fuller this way, and you truly see what the lip pencil looks like with the lipstick. Sometimes I do a second coat with a darker pencil if I want a more defined look. This method puts you in control of the look you want. Please don't ever discontinue cocoa, and if you have a recommendation for the discontiued pencil Bobbi, please let me know.... Show more

The Perfect Lip Liner!
I've used this lip liner for years & have tried others but never found better. It gives a smooth & long-lasting line, but can be easily blended for a softer look. Sometimes I just use lip balm & smudge it over for a much more natural effect. Pink Mauve is my colour as it can be used with both pink and tawny shades. It's a little expensive compared to others & sadly, no longer comes with a sharpener, but it does last a long time so I feel it's worth it!... Show more

totally Overpricec
The price on this lip liner has totally gone out of control. There are comparable drug-store liners 1/5 the price. It is smaller than five years ago and $12 more. I don’t be purchasing it any more. NYX has a color very similar and I could purchase 5 for the price of one Bobbi Brown.... Show more
