I have a set of 2 of the 3 ounce glases. I pull double shots of espresso into them virtually every day, often multiple times a day. They are very strong and look great. They are easy to wash by hand, but also go through the dishwasher just fine. I knock them over at times and they have never broken or chipped. They are also well insulated, keeping the espresso hot, while being cool to the touch on the outside of the glass.I strongly recommend them if your going to pull espresso into shot glasses.

I've been using ours for better than 2 years now, bummer finally broke one, a 3 oz, dropped it on a tile floor. They look and function great they hold the heat of your drink while the outside stays cool. I have owned the Pavina and now the Assum glasses to use for pulling shots. I like the idea of the double walled insulation in order to keep the espresso hot. Although I was happy with the Pavina over the conventional type of "bar" type shot glass, I prefer the overall shape of the Assam for its more stable base design which is wider than the overall curved glass shape of the Pavina.Both are excellent choices, practical as well as attractive to use for serving. You can not go wrong with any Bodum product!
I use these everyday for my "grande" latte. I pull the shots in then take the time to steam my milk and I loose no heat in the process. The feel and taste is so nice from these compared to the horrible paper cups from those over priced coffee chains. I have washed in the dishwasher with no problem but I usually just clean them quickly by hand after use.What do you like best about this product?Heat retention.
Many espresso cups allow the espresso to cool too quickly. This keeps the espresso hot until it's ready to drink. The only downside is that it chips very easy. The 2 oz are perfect for making or drinking the espresso, the 7 oz are great for a small or "tall" coffee drink, and the 13 oz perfect for the larger drinks.The cups are comfortable to the touch no matter how hot the drinks are. Even with milk steamed up to 185, I don't feel the "heat" of the drink through the dual layer glass.In addition, it is very very strong. I've dropped these glasses multiple times on a kitchen wood floor and vinyl floor (in the second kitchen), and it just bounces. it's 250ml if you fill it up to the rim. with normal usable filling it's ~220ml. so holds a bit smaller amount than expected, but keeps it hot longer than normal cup.
