The lid became warped (formed a shallow U longitudinally) in a fortnight of use, so no longer sealed the box for bread's freshness. The bamboo chopping board lid hadn't been submersed in water, isn't near a heat source nor continued damp. Terrific in the first week, then disappointment. Doesn't perform as advertised.

This is my second purchase of this item as the first was so convenient. I use one for loaves of bread, which two fit in easily. The other I use for cakes and treats. As the lid makes a brilliant chopping board, I don't have to get another one out. They stack brilliantly as there are little grip feet on the bottom,so they don't slide around the worktop.
Was just looking for a simple but good quality bread bin in black or white. Really pleased with this one. The size is really good - wouldn't want it any smaller - and the shape allows it to sit on top of the microwave (small kitchen!). Also easy to wash as the top comes off. Simple is best - no fancy hinges. So great product.
bought the smaller one, but couldnt get too much in so ordered the larger one and its perfect. It even has a little moisture control knob on the side. Have used the smaller one for cake storage and its great for that.Both items look very smart in my new kitchen
This bread bow is both practical and chic. It’s not too bulky and holds enough bread comfortably.Built in bread cutting board at the lid, is a bonus. The little groves detail in the cutting board is also appreciated. To be honest I would t expect anything less from bodum
The height of this box is not suitable for larger loafs or be read loaf made in a bread machine which is what we brought. We should have looked at the measurements. We use the box to store our potatoes and onions as the air vent on the side of box is useful.Also, washing our lid made the wood split in half from the water so yeah not good storage for bread.
Love it - these bread boxes are a very generous size - perfect for our family of 5. I love that they stack to take up less room. we have one for our regular sandwich bread and the other (in another colour) for specialty breads - bread rolls, croissants or whatever we have on hand. Nice idea with a bread board incorporated into design, and they look very stylish.
Its far too small to hold a regular loaf of bread from the supermarket. The lid only closed if the loaf is partially gone and the slices can be arranged on an angle . The product itself is very nice quality, but its not particularly useful due to the size . I was disappointed
