I purchased the black carafe. First, I received one that was completely scuffed and scratched like it had been on display for a year. The replacement was in acceptable condition, but overall this product does not live up to the Bodum name. I am disappointed with this product and plan to return.

Excellent , just what we wanted to maintain liquids at any temperature required . Hot milk for our coffee at breakfast time .
Very pleased with the product, simple and easy to use and very modern in appearance.
Bodum marries design and function flawlessly...this thermal carafe is sleek, matches my décore (green) and keeps coffee /tea hot for hours...only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the price.
I bought this at the suggestion of the salesperson at the Chestnut Hill store and it keeps my coffee hot and fresh tasting all day. I am really glad that he thought of this.
I wanted to like this, but it is quite heavy and awkward to use. Requires two hands to operate. The flow is trickly so the weight matters as you have to hold it for quite a while to get a cup poured out. However, the main problem is that it does not keep liquids hot for longer than about an hour.
I absolutely love my thermos tea jug, I use it all day long, it keeps the water warm for an entire day so keeping my tea warm is so easy! I have now purchased my third one to give to family!
After a mere three uses, this jug absorbed water into its casing, during its washing.That water now sloshes around, internally, inside the pitcher, no doubt developing midew.I cannot get rid of the water.Very disappointing.
