I am a huge coffee fan! I love black coffee so I was really excited to try this method. I currently have a pod coffee maker. I know temperature is a big deal so I made hot water with my pod coffee maker in order to brew with the French Press. The only thing that I didn’t have was coarse ground coffee. I am impatient so I decided to use the regular ground coffee. The whole process was surprisingly short! I did not get grounds in my coffee like I thought I would since I used a finer grind but there was some sediment at the bottom of my cup. The flavor, while not as rich as the pod maker (I probably didn’t use the right amount of grounds), was still pretty good! I would definitely recommend and next time I will use the coarse ground coffee.

The Bodum Caffettiera French Press is great! I absolutely love its classy look. The chrome, glass, and off-white colors are so beautiful. It looks very high end, and is very well-made. This french press holds 34oz of coffee which is enough for about 4 regular size cups of coffee, which is perfect for us. I love that it's BPA-free as well. If you've never had coffee made with a french press, you're in for a treat! Simply remove the lid, place your coffee grounds inside (we use 4 tbsp of espresso roast using the included spoon), and hot water and give it a stir. We place the lid on (don't push down yet) and wait about 5 min. Then gently press down the plunger. You now have the most delicious coffee you've ever had! A french press let's the grounds soak in the hot water and releases a very full bodied brew and releases complex flavors that drip coffee or espresso machines simply don't/can't provide. It's really easy to clean as well. I handwash this item to prolong its use, but it is dishwasher safe. I'd highly recommend this Bodum French Press to everyone from the daily coffee connoisseur to the occasional coffee drinker!

I'll be honest, this is my first experience with a French Press Coffee Maker. And it's so much easier than I thought it would be. You basically just add the coffee grounds, place the strainer/lid on top, add boiling water, stir, wait only 4 minutes and press down. And the coffee tastes absolutely amazing! I was always worried about grounds getting into my coffee with the French Press but I now see that's not even a possibility because the holes in the strainer are so small. And as far as French Press Coffee Makers go, the Bodum®️ Caffettiera is the nicest one I've ever seen. I love the size. It holds 3oz which is the perfect amount for my husband and I without wasting any coffee. And the design of this French Press is so classy looking. The glass carafe is so nice and the pour spout is just perfect for dispensing the right amount of coffee - it's not to big or too wide. The lid is even equipped with a section (small slats) that allows for a nice, slow pour. Or you can turn the lid to seal the coffee inside. It even comes with a pre-measured scoop. And I love that the glass carafe let's you actually see how the coffee is being brewed. I truly love everything about this French Press and you can't get a better cup of coffee. I definitely plan on using and enjoying mine for years to come! Highly recommended!!

This French Press works really well. People say you get what you pay for, but this french press gives you the bang foe your buck! This 34 oz French Press is easy to use and clean. The beauty of this French Press is that all of the parts are dishwasher safe. The French Press uses a metal, mesh coffee filter, which is nice. I like the eco-friendly approach of this feature. To use, you simply wash before using. Then you pull the plunger out of the top of the carafe. Depending on how much coffee you'd like to make, depends on the amount of coffee you add next. For me, I prefer to use 4 teaspoons (or 4 scoops of the measuring spoon that it comes with) for 16 oz of water. This will make you two cups of coffee. For me, I prefer to use 4 teaspoons (or 4 scoops of the measuring spoon that it comes with) for 16 oz of water. This will make you two cups of coffee. Rule of thumb is one teaspoon or scoop per 4oz of water. Of course, if you prefer stronger or weaker coffee, you can adjust the coffee you put in accordingly. Next you pour hot water into the carafe. Be sure to not fill the carafe to the top as you will need room to ut the plunger in to press the coffee. Stir the water and coffee with a spoon. Then you'll put the plunger in the carafe and turn it to seal the carafe. This will help retin the heat of the water. You will want to leave the coffee sit in the water for 4 to 5 minutes then slowly push the plunger down. Turn the plunger to open the carafe and pour cautiously. The French Press brings out the best flavor of the coffee and such an incredible aroma. I prefer a French press over a coffee pot now and do not see myself brewing coffee in my coffee pot anymore. Overall, I feel the French Press releases a bolder, more robust flavor of coffee. I also feel it is more eco-friendly as you are not using disposable coffee filters.i certainly would recommend this product to anyone interested in brewing coffee. This is quick, convenient and superior to brewing a pot or coffee. I recommend you try a French press.
This has been the best coffee I have tasted. It truly brings out the flavors of your coffee unlike other coffee makers. I love the simplicity of this coffee maker. No noise at all in the mornings and I no longer smell the coffee through out the entire home. I dont have to buy coffee maker filters anymore. Cleaning it is so quick and easy too. It doesn't take up a lot of space on my counter. The spoon included measures just the perfect amount of coffee. I would have liked there to be numbers or lines on the coffee maker for the water amount. I suppose you could use a measuring cup for the amount. I have a water machine that dispenses hot water, so it is so easy and quick for me to make it in no time. After 4 minutes I press down slowly and I've got coffee. As a first time user,I found the directions included a bit confusing. I read that and also the directions outside the box, I found that to be easier to follow. Love this and I definitely recommend it. I wont go back to another type of coffee maker.
This makes great tasting coffee. I had never had French pressed coffee, but had always wanted to try it. This was very easy to use and came with clear instructions that made it easy to use. I thought coffee grounds would get into the finished poured coffee and not a single ground poured out. This makes great tasting coffee. I buy flavored coffee and regular medium roast coffee and the flavors come out more using the French press. This does say to not use a fine coffee grounds and my regular coffee I buy works great with this. Since getting this I have not had brewed coffee this is is just as easy to use and tastes better. French press is my favorite method of making coffee! I love the Bodum Caffettiera. Using their French press coffee maker creates a robust flavor that you can’t get from any other method, and I find it very easy to use. Just pour your grounds into the base, roll it around to have a nice flat even bed, slowly pour in a bit of hot water(not boiling), enough to cover the grounds. Then continue saturating with hot water until its fully immersed. Put the plunger back on, but leave it up. Allow it to bloom for 4 minutes if you used really coarse grounds or about 2 minutes for fine ground. Then slowly start plunging downward so it’s pressed against the bottom of the carafe and there’s your solid, robust cup. The coffee comes out rich and flavorful. The Caffettiera is made of sturdy, quality materials. Its carafe is shatter-proof, meaning that you don’t need to heat it up before you brew coffee by swishing a little hot water around. The lid and handle are temperature resistant, which protects your fingers, and the frame protects the carafe from damage. The fine mesh filter on the plunger prevents sediment from mixing into your coffee. There is no waste here, neither with your coffee grounds or for Mother Earth! It’s friendly to the environment by not contributing harmful plastic capsules or paper filter waste. Washing it is a cinch, use hot soapy water or put into your dishwasher. Also, did you know? The Caffettiera French press coffee maker can froth milk. My coffees have never been the same since discovering this! This is possible thanks to the precise plunger, shatterproof carafe, and protective lid and handle. Just heat a cup of whole milk (try almond milk too) for about a minute and a half, pour your coffee in a mug for the base, then pour the hot milk into the carafe. Put your plunger in and start plunging with vigor. Make sure to plunge near the top to give the milk more access to air and it will become fluffy milk that’s really close to what you get in a café. Finally, pour into your coffee and there you have a really nice café au lait thanks to your Caffettiera! Highly recommended and a terrific gift for those that want a perfect cup of coffee every time.
I have been wanting a French press coffee maker for many years now but never got around to purchasing one. Sometimes we don’t want a whole pot of coffee so this works out perfectly for us. This French press is very easy to use, it is pretty self-explanatory and I love that it makes coffee without the use of electricity. In our area, we tend to lose electricity often during the winter months so this will allow us to make a nice hot cup of coffee even without electricity. The one thing I don’t love about this is that the handle and the top are both made of plastic. This cheap and the feeling of it for me a little bit. The plastic is made of BPA free materials so you don’t have to worry about anything leaching into your coffee. So we usually use a coffee maker with those disposable little cups. Unfortunately the coffee from those just doesn't taste that great. I was excited to try this French Press, something I hadn't ever tried before. It took a few tries for me to find the right amount of scoops to water ratio, but once I did, it was DELICIOUS. Easy to push down, assemble and disassemble. And Oh MY the coffee is absolutely rich and SO good. It's easy to clean, too, I just hand wash it after I drink all the coffee. So yummy and so worth it! I can't say I will use it every day just due to quickness/convenience factor, but definitely on my home-only days, when I really want to enjoy my extra delicious coffee!
This french press allows you to make coffee! What a concept. It's also hard to clean, but then, all french presses that are any decent are hard to clean. The construction feels sturdy, and looks sleek. It doesn't really take 34 oz of liquid, depending on how much grinds you put in, but it will make a good 3-4 cups of coffee. 1-2 cups, if you're using big mugs like me. It's also great for making cold brew. The filter itself is pretty fine, although if you are using really fine grinds, some of that silt will end up in your coffee. But it does a pretty good job for french press grinds, and definitely for cold brew grinds which are a lot coarser. The packaging says the parts are dishwasher safe, but i've only tried it with the filter and top/lid.
