Bodum Chambord 3 Cup Coffee Maker - Copper
The quintessential French press coffee maker, designed back in the 1950s and still an iconic piece that's synonymous with the Bodum name. The Chambord coffee press is still produced with the same artisan craftsmanship as ever, with an increasing focus on environmentally responsible manufacturing. The French press system is a greener way to brew coffee without compromising on flavour. Simply fill with a couple of spoonfuls of coffee grounds, then add hot water. Leave to brew, then depress the plunger to halt the brewing process. You can also twist the lid around to block the spout off. This model features a warm copper colour on the metal components, for an appealing vintage look. The black polypropylene of the handle is heat-resistant for safe pouring. Large enough for about 3 small cups of coffee.

On a whim, I just decided that I wanted to try French Press coffee at home. This one looked to be just what I was seeking. It not only looked cool, but well made too. It is both. One of the things that intrigued me in earlier reviews were comments by folks that they take it with them when traveling. There is a new “lifestyle” hotel that I have been going to about once a month for the past three months, and at which I will be staying four or five times next spring. Its “feature” gourmet coffee, which it has in the rooms, is a bit bitter to my tastes. But the coffee set up in the rooms also includes a Williams-Sonoma-like (maybe it is) metal water boiling pot, ideal for use with this French Press maker. I look forward to giving it a try. I would definitely recommend ... MoreOn a whim, I just decided that I wanted to try French Press coffee at home. This one looked to be just what I was seeking. This is my first French press coffee maker ,and I absolutely love it. This little french press is AMAZING. This French press is simple but very effective. It really does make an exceptional brew. I am truly impressed by the difference in taste and flavor of my coffee made by this Press. As for the taste of the coffee, it’s far superior than a coffee made in a coffee machine. It is beautifully designed and well made and looks great on my kitchen counter. Making your brew is so easy -Simply remove the plunger top , add course ground Coffee, Slowly add hot water and stir it , Let it steep for few minutes, Gently press down the plunger and your perfect cup of coffee is ready. The mesh filter prevents grinds from getting into your coffee .Maintaining this French press is ... MoreThis is my first French press coffee maker ,and I absolutely love it. We love coffee and use our French Press every Everyday. All in all it is a great quality press. I was delighted with the quality of this Coffee Press the minute I took it from the box. Elegant in appearance and very comfortable to hold and pour. The coffee didn’t disappoint either. Brewed to perfection, remained hot and there was plenty to go around for our crowd at Christmas. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to entertain with ease! I will use this often!

I love this Coffee French Press! Previously I owned one and had it for a number of years before dropping it on the floor and smashing it. I thought I would try another brand when I made my next purchase but after buying the next two French Presses chip/crack occurred after minimal use, I decided to return to Bodum. The glass beaker is far superior in strength and design. Bodum are more expensive than a number of other brands, but they are well worth the extra dollars!
I originally planned to get the smaller coffee press but changed my mind when I go to the store. I’m glad I did. This is an ideal size and is fine for making a smaller pot too. I’ve had a couple of other coffee plungers and the quality on this one is far superior. The lid fits snugly and the handle and case seem like good quality. Overall very happy with this one!
This has been great, so far. Prior to buying this Bodum Chambord French Press I had another model of the same brand. That model is less expensive but had a plastic piece holding the filter in place which ended up slipping off so that the press could no longer be used. I purchased another plastic version of the same brand from another vendor and it had the same plastic piece inside, so I returned it. After doing a lot of research and purchasing another press that had to be returned, I settled on this one. First, it's from Crate and Barrel, which stands by its products. Second, it has a metal piece holding the filter in place. It looks nice, the glass carafe is removable for cleaning (you don't need to wash the holder) but you need to make sure the carafe stays in ... MoreThis has been great, so far. It looks nice but that wasn't my concern when I purchased it. This press makes two large mugs of coffee. This is the best French Press I could find that was both traditional and sturdy. FYI - all French Presses are made of lighter weight glass than coffee pots. You have to be careful. Also, if you want coffee to be hotter, fill the carafe with hot water and let it sit while you are heating the water for the coffee. You can also buy a cozy if you want the keep the coffee hotter. Hope these tips help someone.
It's fine if you don't want two 8 oz cups of coffee. I think part of the stated volume is taken up by the coffee you put in and it should be remembered that officially a "cup of coffee" is still officially 6 0z. like your grandparents drank. It's not an 8 oz. cup. what I've been doing is making it super strong, then adding hot water from my dispenser or just enjoying it really strong. If I add water , I have another cup. So for this review I made a brew, and then poured the made coffee into a pyrex measuring up. It made exactly one 8 oz. cup. But it works for me not to have too much coffee. But if you're going to buy one of these in any size keep in mind that the stated amount of coffee each one makes is probably way less than the reality. Having had a Bodum Chambord French Press before I knew it produced great coffee simply and easily. When I decided to even buy a French Press again, I shopped around. The range ($ to $$$$$) is unbelievable. Knowing that World Market usually carries the Bodum, I chose them. At least I can get it right away and don't have to take out a loan to purchase. I even ordered it online and it was ready for pickup quickly at my local store.
This is a very pretty press, it is the standard for them. I examined the one I received and the plunger did go down snugly, smoothly, and evenly, and also what looked to be low enough. I saw they give instructions as well as the scoop. At the same time I picked this up, I saw in a local store a double walled vacuum glass one, no stainless except the filter set up and cap. I ended up reading some reviews on this one elsewhere and became concerned about some saying the steel frame that's enclosed around the glass vessel may develop some rust. It would be a pain to have to remove the glass every time you wash or avoid getting the steel wet. That and the fact the double walled vacuum glass one I also got would be more insulating and keeping the temperature while ... MoreThis is a very pretty press, it is the standard for them. It is a nice looking piece, though, and would have been functional for what it is.
I love the energizer rechargeable batteries. i use them for my remote thermometer / hygrometer sensors and base. Recently purchased camera equipment that has LED lighting and flash so I needed batteries. The rechargeable batteries have been working fine and helps save some money.I have also used the various size energizer rechargeable batteries in mini-Mag light, Maglight, headlamps, bicycle lights, and numerous other battery operated products.
