This item is a great procduct. It makes about 3 cups. I had a regular coffeemaker and it wasn't working good anymore. I had several people tell me about this make and model for what I am looking for. I appreciate reviews and I read about this model. I cannot be happier with my purchase. I absolutely love using this with three scoups of my favorite ground coffee Cafe Bustelo and I add some Nutmeg with Hazelnut Coffeemate creamer. It smells up my entire kitchen and is delicious to the taste. I would highly recommend this product for someone interested in making up to 3 cups they also sell the 8 cup model as well.

Took some getting used to but watched you tube videos to get tips. I've had my Kenya 4 cup pot for 2 years now, and I love it. I use big mugs so I get 2 big mugs out of a pot. I also bought an electric tea kettle. Let the water cool a bit after boiling.I just bought a small electric coffee grinder, purchase whole bean coffee, and grind my beans fresh in just a minute in the morning. The screen filter has torn from repeated use, so I went on Bodum website. The replacement was $11 plus shipping. Walmart has Kenya Bodums on clearance for $17.84 in store now so I'll just buy another one instead. Now I've got all the spare parts if ever needed!

This was my first french press and online research made me think Bodum was a reliable brand. However, even after following all the instructions perfectly, I was only able to use it twice before it developed a crack and can no longer be used. I am returning this item and am now looking for a stainless steel press or at least a better quality glass. This one just felt cheap from the beginning because the glass feels very thin and fragile.

It is a very nice design and Easy to use.Be aware though, it is for Coarse Ground Coffee only. It is not written in the online description. This was annoying to find out after I received the product as I'd been given fine ground as a gift. I had to purchase different coffee to use with it.

For people on the fence about buying a French Press, let me tell you that it makes a very noticeably better cup of coffee. Grind your beans the night before (or right before) you make some coffee and you will love the results.You will have to do a little experimentation and arithmetic to find the sweet spot for what you consider a good cup of coffee. For me, I put in 7 scoops of course-ground coffee and fill with hot water to about an inch below the top. This corresponds to the level 6 line of a Mr Coffee carafe.The downside to a French Press is the mess. It is a little harder to clean (and by 'harder' I only mean it's a bit messier) than a drip coffee maker where you simply pull out the filter and toss it away. I love this little French press! It’s super easy to use and most importantly to clean. I have a fancy coffee machine but there are so many parts to clean that honestly require more time then what I set aside to brew a morning cup. This little one gets me a cup of joe quickly and just as flavorful. My mother in law also purchased one after using it at our house! The only thing I’d have to say negatively is that the little wires on the mesh are wearing down but I do use it everyday sometimes twice a day.
The coffee press broke before we could even use it. There is a weak point, the plastic surrounding the plunger snapped while we were just rinsing it before we made our first cup of coffee. Absolute garbage, spend a little extra and get the better model.
I was in a pinch, as I was set to go camping the next day and had realized my previous French press hadn't survived the previous trip due to my iwn error. I went shopping online and saw the Bodum Kenya French Press (34oz) and thought why not?It's been a lovely addition to my coffee life. it did well in camping, (hot water added like a kettle at home), and I've been using it to make my comd brews at home. It's been wonderful. haven't had any issues with it yet, and am not expecting issues as it seems solid.

For the discounted price coming out to ~$20 you won't find a better french press. I've owned several...some higher end and others lower end. Only used this one once so far, but it works perfectly and has a great size for multiple cups. Someone mentioned wishing the filter was a finer filter..that's the point of french press coffee..a more coarse filter for coarse ground coffee. You'll want to adjust the ground coarseness to max to enjoy as intended, otherwise you'll end up with sludge at the bottom of your mug. Someone else mentioned a leak..unless your ...
