I bought this Jarrah stain a couple of weeks ago for my small projects- repaint and stain the bare pine bedside tables. I did brush brewed black tea as conditioner first let dry and put 3 jarrah stain thin coats on (first coat thinning with 15% mineral spirit as instructed). It comes out very rich colour as showing on photos.Since I like a bit darker colour I did put thin coat of walnut stain on top and it looks fabulous!

This was the cheapest option to stain my wine barrells. The barrells are external and get half day sunlight and the gloss still stands after 2 years. Very happy with it and the finish is really nice.

I bought this a while ago to stain a pine table (made from re-used pallet timber). Timber was clean sanded and then given 3 coats of this varnish plus stain, very happy with results. Has a rich dark red colour with a deep sheen to it, which is quite striking. Pics show clean timber and end result after 3 coats. I didn't thin first coat with turps like recommended but it doesn't seem to have been an issue.

Have used this on exterior decking table about 2 years ago .The table is out in the weather and it not faded at all. See pictures of little furniture project. The stain goes on easy very pleased with finished product.
Really lovely finish - I wanted something that wouldn't be extremely dark but give a nice even colour and this has really done the job. This is one coat thinned with 25% turps on Tassie oak, no primer needed.
Did not like how it went on prepared and sanded pine, coats are very uneven, thick areas where it has grabbed and patchy where it did not, no matter if I used a brush or a rag, I could not get an even smooth coverage, it was not as nice a finish as I had hoped even though I loved the walnut colour. I diluted the first coat as directed and had to keep diluting it to finish as it was so thick and went on really uneven still. I am disappointed and wont use again.
We bought this varnish a couple off weeks ago for a shop fitting project. Really impressed with its quality and also with the service from Mitre 10. Click and collect is so easy and staying open late is awesome when you're pushed for time.
First upcycle project and first time ever using a stain and varnish. Great colour, diluted (4) coats on top of base coat with 20% turps. Light sanding with 240 grit between. Have now bought the 1L for other projects.
A great varnish, but very strong in colour. They recommend watering down the first coat with 10% turps, but I use liters of this stuff weekly, and I recommend 50/50, otherwise it is hard to get an even first coat. In fact, it is that strong that I add a couple of dashes of turps to the tin.
I painted bamboo lounge and a door frame with this cheap paint. It took over a week to somewhat dry and three months for it to stop stinking so basically three months to dry fully in good weather. Brushing was difficult, it spreads more like a thick glue than paint. Worst paint I've purchased ever. I wonder where these good reviews came from.
