Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam Ultra Dark (200ml/7fl.oz.)

I have been using bondi sands for 3 years. I have gotten down the technique on how to apply this self tanner but I still get inconsistent results every few times. I notice that the bottle sometimes could be a bad bottle and give me a different looking tan then my previous bottle. Overall with proper prep and after care this self tanner is a 10/10. It smells pretty good, it is a rich deep color on my porcelain skin, and it lasts about a week. If you go into colorine or a lake with this self tanner it will come off. I have tried serveral other self tanner and no self tanner applies like this one, it’s not streaky with good skin exfoliation and moisturizer, and it doesn’t take much to rub in at all. Good for Beginners

I’m new to self tan. My skin is fair with an olive undertone, so I was looking for a tanner that wouldn’t turn me orange. The product is easy to use, I didn’t experience any streaking or patchiness. The scent is very very strong, but this is the only self tan I’ve ever used so I don’t have another to compare it to. I left it on for 12 hrs and got a beautiful, natural glow. It’s a little more subtle than I was expecting, but I did a second layer after 30 mins on my arms and legs and it definitely gave me a little more depth. The undertone is warm and olive, which is exactly what I wanted! Horrible!

First of all, I consider myself an experienced self tanner. I have been self tanning for many years and gave tried a gauntlet of products. my absolute favorite is the bondi sands tanning foam in ultra dark. I had seen mixed reviews on the Aero mousse so when it went on sale, I decided to give it a try. This product is absolutely HORRIBLE! 💯 I applied it the first night with my gloves (as usual) and then waited 30 minutes and applied a second coat per the instructions. First of all, it was very sticky and never completely dried down like the foam does. Here's the kicker. The next morning when I got in the shower to rinse off the color guide, EVERYTHING came off! So needless to say, I used my Bondi Sands self tan eraser and a exfoliating glove and got that mess off and put on my regular Bondi Sands tanning foam. I now have a beautiful glowing tan again and will be running 🏃‍♂️ to Ulta to return this hot mess of a product!

It's soooo nice

I love this, it has a nice smell, not too overpowering and didn't transfer at all. I made sure to sleep on a dark blanket though. Regarding the color, I got so scared applying it. The color guide is so green! But have no worries, the next morning, after washing it off I was left with a beautiful deep olive tone. Like ultra dark! It looks really natural, the only thing that I regret was not using a mitt. I had some rubber gloves and I thought it was the same as using a mitt, but it wasn't. It was really hard rubbing it in, but even then the final result was just beautiful. It just proves how good this product is! So my advice is to always use a mitt, it just goes on smoother. My year round color!

I love it. I live in NYC and rarely have time to lay in a park or the beach, sadly. I think my skin reverted back to my birth color! Liquid Gold is perfect for me!! I’m beginning to forget I spend too much time indoors with my skin looking so naturally sun kissed .Smooth application that dries fast. It doesn’t seem to matter what pattern I apply because it’s been mistake proof for me! I even get a beautiful tone/blend when I dab around my fingers and toes (I use a brush to get a stipple instead of a swipe). Gorgeous color match as well. I plan to try a deeper color next summer for fun but Liquid Gold will be my all year round color! It looks perfectly natural and gives me a healthy golden color.

Natural faux tan look

I've tried all the Aero line has to offer and I absolutely fell in love with this one. This one doesnt look unnatural at all, even my hands and feet looked amazing (which as we all know, is the hardest area for tan to stick/look natural). This is more of a medium golden tan. It's not one that makes you look like you just crawled out of the swamp. You could honestly throw this on fresh out of the shower and let it develop through out the day if you wanted. The foam on this one almost comes out clear (there isn't much of a colour guard with this self tan) which can be tricky! So make sure you work in sections to remember the areas you already applied to. I always work from the bottom up but thats just my preferred meathod. Sleep with this one on and wake up glowing! :)

OBSESSED

I've been using bondi sands for a couple years and I decided to try Liquid Gold. OMG. Seriously its perfection. For one, the foam is nearly clear so I put it on and literally go about my day as usual. Looks like I am not wearing self tanner AT ALL and it gradually darkens as the day goes on. Sometimes I forget I'm wearing it! This makes self tanning SO much easier. It also doesnt transfer to clothes and this for some reason looks more natural than any other bondi sands self tanner I have tried. I apply once, let it dry (dries fast) and then I apply a second layer. I have super pale skin, like red heads do and it looks so good and natural. 100% serious. Love love love it.

Stained toilet seat permanently, no tanning effect

I've used Loreal's Sublime Bronze to get my pale legs summer ready for years now. I mix it 50/50 with a moisturiser and after a shower with exfoliating, goes on very well. You need to work it in well and wash your hands straight afterwards but it gradually builds a natural coloured tan, is streak free and has never marked my white sheets.However the smell, a although not terrible or strong, is not especially pleasant. So before heading to Oz last Christmas I thought I'd get my legs ready for shorts with something else. Nearly all reviewers seem to rave and rave about Bondi Sands so I thought I'd give it a try. I used the loo a couple of hours after applying it according to the instructions and it stained my white toilet seat with pale terracotta coloured marks where my thighs had been. I've tried everything and can't get the marks off, I think I'm going to have to buy a new seat.Despite the toilet seat, the next day my legs looked no different, and despite 4 applications, all one day after the other, my legs looked no different to normal after I had showered.It does at least smell of coconut, but incredibly strongly. You can't apply it and then use any other fragrances - the coconut smell will win hands down. And under the coconut smell is still the fake tan smell. The combination is so strong that I felt embarrassed going to the office as I could smell my legs through my trousers.I also bought the 100ml Bondi Sandi cream to take with me to apply while on holiday, and although that has a less overpowering smell, and didn't stain any toilet seats, it had zero effect on colouring my legs (I've written a review for that as well) even when applied twice in one day.I can't for the life of me think how this brand is getting all these rave reviews. However, having read through every review on the Boots site, I did spot a couple that are linked to reviews entered on the Bondi Sands site where although it shows 5 stars, if you read the text the comments are negative. Did the reviewed accidentally click the wrong star rating or... is something else going on?In summary, save your money and go to another brand. I'm headed back to L'Oreal I reckon.

Very impressed with this

I’d never used a foam tan before as I assumed it would be difficult to apply evenly. But after reading some reviews of Bondi Sands I gave this a go. It’s brilliant! The green tinge when it’s applied looks a bit scary but I’d read about that so I was expecting it. It’s helpful as a guide in that it shows where you’ve already applied the foam. And great that it’s vegan product too.So pleased with the results. It looks very natural, not at all streaky or orange. The light/medium didn’t give me a massive colour change, just enough to make my skin glow and look like I’ve been out in the sun a while. I left it on overnight and showered in the morning - it left no residue on the bed sheets. This self tan is my FAV especially for a pre-vacation glow. It has olive undertones which makes the end result look very natural and keeps you from looking orange. That being said, when you first apply it will make you look like she-hulk! Just put it on overnight and rinse it off in the morning. Dont apply if you'll be seeing anyone for the next 8 hours lol. Once you rinse it off the color is amazing and lasts for around a week or so for me if I moisturize well. It goes on very dark and does dry quickly so apply in small sections at a time and work quickly to blend.
