I absolutely love these undies - these are the only ones I wear now. I'm pear shaped and this is the only underwear that gives me the control I need. I discovered these when I was in holiday in Australia in my 30's. Now I buy a bunch anytime I visit. I have to say the quality is not the same as it was 20+ years ago, but so what. I've tried so many other brands and nothing comes close to this product. Please don't ever discontinue this item. I would be lost...

Comfort and ‘no elastic line’ has won out

For me- natural, breathable fibres are best as undergarments but I could never believe women actually wore ‘cottontails’, but, comfort and eliminating the underpants ‘elastic line’ have won out. These are great!

Good Target cotton underwear no longer available.

Fit well, easy to launder. Good sizing. A shame that Target no longer has good quality cotton underwear in larger sizes, with a good waistband. I’ve tried several and been disappointed; gave some away. I don’t want synthetic, I don’t want flimsy lace waistband. These are the only ones available, and not cheap, either.

Needs elastic around the legs of the briefs.
16 January 2023

There is not much firmest round the leg of the brief.Just move up above your checks.I added my own elastic for comfort. Why do Bonds and every other brand DO NOT have elastic round the leg of their briefs?

Old Style Cottontails
23 February 2022

These are like the old style Cottontails full brief. Not the big bulky Cotton Elastane ones you can easily get in the shops these days, that feel like they don't breathe at all. The only way I could find these was to go online, and straight away Myer came up. They weren't available at any local Myers, so I purchased through Click and Collect, which took a week or so to arrive. Got the message they were there so popped off to my local Myers and picked them up. They might be expensive, but ehy are so worth it!!

PLUS SIZE REVIEW
26 November 2017

OH MY GOODNESS!I am so happy to have found these.I have found it impossible to find comfortable, supportive, cotton underwear in a 26.Most I have found either don't come up around the belly properly, or are so weak, there is no support at all. These are fantastic. They are very true to size though. So don't play around with your size.I had considered getting a 24 when the 26 was not in stock - sometimes I can do that with nylon / poly underwear.I held out and bought the 26 when available - and now I don't think the 24 would of worked, and the leg bands are right on size. But I cannot recommend these more - please keep more 26 in black - and I wish they release cute colours.

Surprised this product was stretch fabric and not real cotton?!
6 November 2016

As mentioned, it was a surprise to find this product was stretch fabric and not real cotton as the original Bonds Cottontails always were - but they are comfortable to wear! I have never bought them online before but had so much difficulty in trying to buy them in-store after many years. Tried many of the shops I used to get them - sadly no longer available. After a Google search found them on Target online, so decided on 3 pair of size 16. It only took 1 day and they were available to collect at my local Target at Westfield Shopping Centre at Garden City, Upper Mt Gravatt. Imagine my horror then when I opened them, there were 2 that were definitely size 16 and another pair that was labelled size 16 but clearly much smaller and I would say would be size 12 (as I ... MoreAs mentioned, it was a surprise to find this product was stretch fabric and not real cotton as the original Bonds Cottontails always were - but they are comfortable to wear! So off I trotted to Garden City again and returned one pair and they willingly exchanged for one hanging on display, which looked more like size 16. I didn't even know they had any in store, or I wouldn't have worried about online, however it didn't cost more and was convenient to shop this way. Thank you, Target online, for the terrific service.

What happened?
22 July 2019

I have been searching for a full brief for some time. I used to buy Target branded underwear, but they don't seem to make them like they used to. Apparently, Bonds don't either. After reading reviews, it seems that there is a considerable amount of inconsistency in these briefs. I have read that they are too thin - mine are as thick as they ever were. I have read that there is too much stretch in them now that they have included Lycra - mine have virtually no stretch. I am at a loss to explain why the crotch has to be so wide. It is HUGE! Despite this, they seemed to be okay - I wouldn't go so far as to say comfortable - that is, until they were washed. I washed them on a warm wash and every single pair of them (all four of the five purchased) have shrunk on the leg ... MoreI have been searching for a full brief for some time. I washed them on a warm wash and every single pair of them (all four of the five purchased) have shrunk on the leg band. Bearing in mind that I bought a larger size, as I always do, I find it astounding that the leg band now cuts off the blood supply to my legs! I won't be buying these again and am now sourcing my underwear from Marks & Spencers.

When a size is not a standard
21 September 2021

The problem with buying on line is that you really cannot see the product. I have bought Cottontails at Target before and ordered the appropriate size. The Cottontails I purchased are far too big. The quality of the product is up to standard. The size ? I thought they would be a standard Australian size. Were they made overseas to an overseas size?

still too tight
5 January 2022

I bought a size up from my pants size, but still too tight. I like a very comfortable, not tight fit. But still they were a bit too tight. Will need to break them in. Improvement on style is : the waist is a bit lower - this is better- so not visible above clothing. The overall make is excellent - really like the soft ribbing around the legs.
