Amazing shoes
I've always found most shoes quite narrow, and cycling shoes seem to be even worse than anything else. Other cycling shoes left me with thrombin, numb and painful feet after 40 to 60 mins. The toe box on these are naturally bigger anyway, plus the extra width and they are perfect. Follow the size guide, draw round your foot, and add around 5mm and you can't go wrong. Still to thermal mould them, but I've used them a few times and know the spots that start to cause a little issue. Overall, highly recommended.... Show more

Exceptional fit equals exceptional power application.
This is my second pair of Bont Vaypor S shoes and I can’t imagine using any others. The fit is sensational as is however, it can be further adjusted if required through a heating process. The exceptional fit translates into direct power application to your pedals.... Show more

Future of footwear
Like most cyclists, I've tried a few different styles of shoe (ratchet, Velcro, boa, lace) so feel well placed to say what works well (for me anyway). Long story short, tried Specialized Boa's years back, liked the Boa, but the shoe itself was not very well, foot shaped... Step in Bont. I've been on Bont for about 4 years now, and the shape, proper anatomical fit, weight and stiffness are second to none.Honestly the main reason for getting these other than the great price compared to all other shoes on the market, were replacing my tired Vaypor+ shoes. They used a ratchet design that was a bit more bulky looking maybe, and vulnerable if you crashed. So once Bont combined Boa with their design, knew I was onto a winner with upgrading. Superb fit (even before the custom mold), and a great design with the retro-styling alongside the modern tech. I expect I shall have these shoes many seasons like my past Bont's until I have either done too many miles in them, or sense a change in the fashion department.Either way, I'll be going Bont shoes again and again long after.... Good construction and comfort
The construction on this shoe is excellent and feels like it could last me years. I have wide feet and usually wear size 41 shimano, was worried that size 42 would still be too narrow. They were indeed a bit tight at first but after heat molding a couple times I eventually got them to fit perfectly. The heel cup shape is amazing and there is no heel lift at all when pedaling. New BOA design works great as you can twist in both directions to loosen/tighten the enclosure, unlike older designs where u had to fully release the BOA before tightening it again. Tempted to buy a second pair!My only complaint is the amount of time and tries it took to heat mold the shoes before they fit my feet perfectly. Unless my oven thermostat is wrong, it takes much longer and higher ... MoreThe construction on this shoe is excellent and feels like it could last me years. Great fit for wide feet, very stiff, light and com
Since switching to barefoot shoes my feet have returned to their natural wide shape and my cycling shoes became way too uncomfortable. Searching around these looked like some of the best high performance road shoes catering to wide feet and they certainly don't disappoint.Regarding sizing I measured carefully and followed the guidance and actually went 2x half sizes up, this still wasn't enough. Definitely measure carefully and go at least half or a whole size up. One very hassle free return and reorder later and 1.5 sizes bigger than the sizing guide suggested, these are the perfect fit. Loads of width in the to box and forefoot to accommodate wide feet but still able to achieve a really snug fit using the twin boas and having heat moulded to tighten the heel cup ... Really low profile styling and great ventilation for summer and indoor rides. The shoes are also incredibly light and stiff, with a really direct feel through the pedals.Great service and shopping experience from Sigma. Highly recommended!... Show more

Great if you fall within the sizing
These are the newest iterations of Bont's Vaypor S. Nothing has really changed since the last model except these come with the BOA Li2 dials, which i can say work very well. Bont's work well for some and not so well for others. If you find they work well with your feet, they are amazing. Make sure to use Bont's sizing guide available on their website before ordering. My pair ended up being a little too narrow for me but they do offer a wide version which i will most likely pull the trigger on.The soles are incredibly stiff...like no give at all. The heat moulding is straight forward and after a couple of rounds in the oven, youll find the configuration that works best for you.... Show more

Great shoe in the end
I first ordered these as per the Bont Sizing Wizard which came up with a size 42 EU. These then arrived and were way too tight! I then sent them back (to which Sigma Sport were very welcoming) went one size up to a size 43 EU and this fitted well. So after all the reading up I did on the weird shoe sizing Bont uses due to the shape, they ended up requiring the same size as my previous Sidi shoes. On my first ride out I noticed a slight pressure point causing pain in both big toes, but I didnt want to heat mould them incase I changed the shape elsewhere which would cause more problems. My solution was to fit the insole from my previous Sidi shoes on top of the Bont insole. This was perfect! So I might suggest either using an old insole aswell or getting some custom ... This was great in hill climbs (to which they lead me to my first win) but also on longer rides of 50-60 miles so the stiffness doesn't really cause any discomfort for me.I ordered them in complete black and they look the business, but not too flashy, stay classy. One minor setback for me has been the undersole, the matte finish seems to have been chipped off in some small areas, but nothing more than a flake. All in all, great shoe.... Superb fit + Boa closure system = perfect choice
There are not many bicycle shops in Europe that sell high-quality wide fit shoes in small sizes. Before making the purchasing decision, I had practically narrowed my choice to two alternatives: Shimano SH-R321 and Specialized S-Works Road. The only problem was that I would have needed a size 39 in wide fit and that was not available anywhere: Shimano and Specialized do manufacture smaller sizes in wide fit as well but only sizes from 41 upwards are imported to Europe. In addition, only a few shops would even have offered standard width shoes in size 39. However, since I was very much afraid that the standard shoes would be too narrow for me, I continued my search and finally found Bont Vaypor S. My foot length is 232 mm and width 99 mm, so the Bont Size Wizard suggested size '39 Wide' as expected. In case my feet would have been just 2 mm narrower, the wizard would have changed the recommendation to '39 Standard'. Since '39 Wide' was not available (as usual), I pondered between '39 Standard' and '40 Wide' and finally decided to go one size up to get the wide fit. That was absolutely a right decision! Even though the '39 Wide' would certainly have been the best shoes for me - just too bad that size was not available anywhere - I am convinced that the '39 Standard' would have been too narrow and I would have had to return them. The '40 Wide' are some 5-10 mm too long but I can easily live with it because the fit is otherwise perfect. It feels almost like the shoes would have been molded to my feet. The modest medial arch support is great for me as I have a relatively high arch. I also very much like the shape of the heel cup and the stiff sides on both sides of the forefoot. The shoes look good - maybe not the coolest ones on the market but stylish enough. On top of that, the Boa closure system is super easy to adjust even on the ride. Even though the price tag is high, I can only recommend these shoes to anyone with similar feet. Excellent purchase!... Show more

The perfect wide fit shoe
When my existing road shoes finally fell apart the arduous task of finding a new pair of shoes began. I can't tell you how many pairs of shoes (mostly wide fit) I tried on that came nowhere close to fitting well. Iv got very large feet and they are wide which most cycling shoe manufacturers seem to think don't exist. Sure I could get them on, but with pressure points all over the place and often I'd have to go up a size to make them fit, which meant that they were far too long for my Neanderthal feet.Any ex-pro cyclist said to me that Bont's in a wide fit would be the way to go. So when I ordered these I was still skeptical as to the fit, but they fit me like a glove. A true wide fit that gives me a fraction of wiggle room for my toes. A quick heat molding process ... So when I ordered these I was still skeptical as to the fit, but they fit me like a glove. A true wide fit that gives me a fraction of wiggle room for my toes. A quick heat molding process as per the Bont website and they are just a joy to wear. No pressure points whatsoever and so stiff. I'm over a 100kg so when I sprint there's a lot of power going down and the carbon bathtub sole design means they are by far and away the stiffest shoe I've come across. They fit so well that the only issue I suffer is that I can tighten the boa system down so tight that I can cut of circulation to my feet without noticing if I'm not careful. That being said its so easy to loosen them just a fraction while still riding due to the Boa LI2 system. I couldn't be happier. So much so I'm half tempted to get a second pair in a darker color for those wet dirty days on the road. Cant be getting my lovely white shoes dirty now.... Show more

Very visible
I purchased these for visibility on early morning rides and they are very bright and reflective. They lose points for comfort as the shoes are very stiff and it is essential to heat mould them. They would have been unwearable without moulding them. The heat mold process is simple although I’ve had to have numerous goes with each time gradually improving the fit and comfort and I’m still going with one foot to get it right. They are VERY stiff so great for cycling but very different to your normal shoe. I’ve worn sidi for years and they are comfortable out of the box. These will be great once I get them sorted but I’m not quite there yet.... Show more
