Bontrager Verse Elite Bike Saddle [Size: 270mm x 155mm]
The Bontrager Verse Elite replaces the well-known Bontrager Ajna and Bontrager Montrose saddles. With its improved design the Verse Elite is light and stiff, providing optimal support for competitive riders. As this saddle has a wide cut-out and is available in different widths, it is suitable for women and men. It is also suitable for both on-road and off-road riding. The shell of the Bontrager Verse Elite saddle is reinforced with carbon, which makes the saddle extra stiff, improving power transfer and control. A carbon-reinforced saddle shell is also less likely to sag than a nylon saddle, and will therefore last longer. The shell is covered with a thin yet comfortable padding, which is finished with an anti-slip cover to prevent too much shifting during cycling. The rails of the Bontrager Verse Elite are made from Cromoly steel. Using this unique composite and design Bontrager has managed to make these rails lighter than titanium! Saddle shape This saddle has a semi-round rear part, making it highly suitable for riders who move a little as they ride and whose hips rock a little from side to side. The semi-round shape provides plenty of support for these riders, while still offering sufficient freedom of movement compared to a flat saddle. Flexibility This is an S-shaped saddle, meaning that it is raised at the back and lowered in the middle. This S-shape makes it possible for people with an inflexible spine to sit in a sporty cycling position. This has to do with pelvis rotation; people with an inflexible spine often have more trouble rotating their pelvis. Cut-out This saddle has a wide cut-out which alleviates pressure for those who often experience discomfort or pressure to their soft tissue areas.

Hi, I like the looks and the build of this saddle (obtained on my Madone SLR 9 eTap brand new project One this year which is the greatest road bike I ever had from my Trek 5200, 6.9, S7 and now this), BUT Bontrager needs to provide a version with a middle of the road padding something in between soft and hard so I can manage to sit on this thing for long rides. In the past, I had to revert to a competitor. Bontrager started providing 155mm width based on feedback recently which helped but is not available in all lines where it stops at 148mm where saddles like the Arvada seem to be different from a padding perspective. The Aeolus one is the same - too hard and not for everyone.

The shell on the Verse Elite has just enough flex and padding to make the saddle comfy on long rides without requiring padded shorts. The profile is outstanding, a little flatter in the back to support a more upright seated position, perfect cutout, no hard corners to dig into the thighs. It doesn't get much better this when trying to find a comfortable, respectably lightweight road saddle. Great job Trek, keep making saddles like THIS one!

After using the stock saddle that came on my 2022 ALR5, I decided to upgrade to the elite version while getting a different width. I was surprised at well the stock saddle supported while still damping all the small bumps. It almost worked, it was that good. But, I needed more narrow to keep the soft tissues happy.Shape on the Elite is perfect, allowing some for/aft movement and not locking you in. Looks great with the protective base. Same strong support while absorbing the small stuff. I strongly recommend.

Once set up it is very comfortable. Padding not too hard or soft. Looks great on the bike. it was awesome that it came with a "blender" mount for the rear light.
Super disappointed after waiting over a year for the bicycle. Seat is too hard for long road rides. Came on 2022 ProCaliber 9.7. I have used way cheaper seats that are far more comfortable.
Got this saddle to replace the one on my Crockett 5, which I now use as my smart trainer bike. I loved it so much I asked my local Trek store (Newark, De) to order two more for my other bikes. Let me say that these seats are worth their weight in gold. They add a very sleek look to the bike that gets many looks and compliments (while unloading ext..). Not only does it look good but they feel great. Of course, I highly recommend to everyone.
I got this saddle for my 2021 FX 5 but also use it on my road bike. It is (finally) a saddle wide enough for my sit bones. My rides are usually 20-30 miles, but I have done longer rides as well. The deep channel that runs almost the full length is great. For those with soft tissue issues, I would recommend trying this saddle!
I just finished building a Madone SLR and first tried the Aeolus Elite 145mm saddle as it's ideal for riders who tend to stay in one position and aerodynamic/performance type riding which is what I feel I do with this bike however the Aeolus never felt quite right. It was brilliant for power delivery but too wide. This was released and I decided to give it a try. While it's a few dollars and grams more than the Aeolus Elite, it fits me very well. I was able to sit close to the nose and stay in the drops for almost the entire ride. Would definitely recommend this to anyone especially since Bontrager has that unconditional guarantee which I used to switch from the Aeolus to the Verse.
Got this as a lighter weight replacement for my old saddle on newly acquired CX bike. I like the length for weigh transfer, cutouts tend to suit me from a comfort perspective. Have been very happy with the saddle
Bought this to replace the original saddle on my 2021 Synapse which was damaged. More comfortable for me and lighter - and I like the clip fitting for my rear light. Very happy with my choice.
