This is a really nice cutting board. 18 x 12 gives me plenty of working room but doesn’t take up a lot of space. Prior to this I was using a marble-like surface for years, which caused me to constantly be sharpening knives. This board is much kinder to cutlery. The quality and craftsmanship seems very apparent and I expect this to last for a long, long time. It’s great to have a high quality USA made product crafted from USA sourced material. A big “Thanks!” From me to the folks at John Boos!

I was very impressed when I opened the box...it looks hand made. Very smooth and nice quality. I am hoping that it will last for a long time, as I have followed the directions for use, applying the mystery oil and the board cream. I haven't used it much, but so far, I am very happy. My only concern is that it moves around on my granite counter top. I remedied that by placing gripper drawer liner underneath it. Perfect!

This new cutting board is a great addition to my new kitchen. It’s sturdy and smooth and i see it lasting a long time with proper treatment. I like the side handles for ease of movement from one counter to another
When I received a Wusthof chef knife as a gift, needed to get a quality cutting board. Live in a small place and the”traditional” boards were too big. Bar boards do not offer enough cutting space. Glad discovered this, a “real” cutting board for small areas. Provides enough cutting space, easy to clean, side handles are convenient for carrying or turning over, not too heavy so you can put it away easily. This would be a good way for anyone who has wanted a thick wood block board but not sure it was for them to try it out. Great price. It’s just perfect!!!
The only reason I am not giving this a 5 star, is that we haven't had it long and I don't yet know about the durability. So far it is heavy which could be a disadvantage if you have hand problems, but I like that it is not flimsy and that it seems to not take the scratches too heavily.
Love my new cutting board - its heavy enough that it doesn't move around when I'm chopping vegetables and also serves as a great cheese board!
Buyer beware, this is one honking big cutting board, and heavy as bricks. I only pull this out twice a year, for Thanksgiving turkey and Christmas beef roast. Well made, but jeesh!
