Bosch 90cm Built-in Oven Series 4 VBC5540S0

Product was selected because it was one of only a very few that would fit into the existing cabinetry. Seems to work well and the appearance is fine. Has basic features. Very limited height inside. Took two weeks and multiple requests to get a response from Bosch about a query we had. Only one rack provided, along with two trays.

Bosch oven install

We Had an oven replaced at a rental property by appliances on line , our initial choice of oven didn’t fit the existing cut out which was unfortunate but the lady ( sorry didn’t get her name ) at winning appliances had it sorted in no time , she came up with an alternative oven ( Bosch ) which was more expensive but it did fit the second time around and tenant was happy. So review is more for the team at appliances on line and Winning appliances for being smooth operators .

Not impressed still not christened as awaiting parts to come from Melbourne apparently. I can get delivered from England quicker. They dont even update you on the progress of these parts. Rating at present is not what I would like as I have a Bosche dishwasher and that is great.

Excellent Oven

Make sure you measure your oven cavity before ordering - we were told Bosch ovens have a larger depth than other brands in the same size. We required very minor cabinet modifications prior to the oven being installed, all handled by Appliances Online. Troy from Winning Appliances was brilliant, as was the service from Appliances Online. Could not be happier with the oven, so much quieter & larger than the Miele we used previously.

Fantastic oven so easy to recommend

This twin fan oven was installed to replace an existing single fan forced oven which had become inafficient (another brand not a Bosch). The exterior dimensions on both ovens are the same, with the Bosch being more rectangular internally. The Bosch’s extra internal width allows cooking trays to be placed side by side which I find complements even cooking throughout. The oven's design is elegantly understated and very easy to use. The clock and timer are easy to set and the 2 control knobs recess into the facia when not in use. This oven is very efficient so initially it may be wise to set the cooking temperature a fraction lower until you are used to it. Great oven and simple to use

I had to replace a 3 year old Technika. This one is made in Italy, so is much better quality. Its quiet, easy to use, looks nice. Appliances Online was cheaper than anywhere else. The free delivery, take old one away is a god send.

Great oven but missing trays!

I love the oven. It performs well, keeps in the heat (a must for Qld summers), is quiet and easy to use. But where are the extra wire shelves? Only one is supplied and the solid trays the come as well are not great for general cooking. Very disappointed Bosch and from what I can see so are others. This is an expensive model, you could supply the bare minimum needed for family cooking. They are too expensive to buy as extras! Would have given 5 stars but for this.

Had to buy this size oven to fit cavity

The old oven was this size but had the controls on the side so the oven interior was higher but not as wide. Personally I prefer that set up but I think the overall capacity is much the same. Anyway the oven works as you’d expect and I do like the fan/heat stopping when I open the oven door mid cook.

Love it.

This is the 3rd Bosch appliance that I have purchased in the last 2 years, a dishwasher and washing machine being the other 2 and I am super pleased with their performance. The oven looks sleek and modern, is fantastically wide, easy to operate and has produced evenly cooked goods to date. I would have appreciated another telescopic oven rack to cap off the purchase. Bosch is my go to brand for large kitchen appliances that need to be reliable and perform well day after day.

Seems pretty good

We had to replace an older model Bosch 90cm oven after the front glass shattered (turned out to be a manufacturing fault in the hinge - missing a screw - but discovered well out of warranty). The old oven had the dials on the right hand side, whereas the newer model is along the top. That means the new oven is much wider than the last one, but it is not as tall. It can be harder now to fit two dishes in the oven if they can't share a rack. The previous oven had a dodgy thermostat so we had to use a separate thermometer to check the temperature and manually adjust, but the new one seems to be accurate as per the dial, like it should be. Like most ovens, there are a series of kind of cryptic lines and squiggles for each of the oven settings, which you just have to learn how to interpret. Pizza is pretty self-explanatory, but as for wavy vs straight lines, etc., I don't really know. My son loves the fact the knobs can be pushed in to sit flush with the front of the oven. He's easily pleased. If he actually helped with cooking he'd probably like the rest of it, too.
