In truth I haven't used this yet but it looks to be the dog's doodahs!It has an SDS chuck and thus uses SDS drill bits... I have also ordered an SDS/normal chuck adapter for use with normal drills.SDS is primarily for drilling into concrete etc so if you intend to use it for wood and metal as well you will use normal drill bits. Order that chuck adapter WITH the drill.

Excellent and very powerful drill. Came with a box, additional chuck for non-SDS drill bits, couldn't ask for more. The hammer action is very powerful, a word of caution, going through a 9" solid brick wall and then render, meant it punched a chunk of render off the outside, cured by just using the rotary action and not hammer for the last inch. But it was like a hot knife through butter.

Bought this drill about 13 years ago. Its had fairly heavy DIY use ever since as I've refurbished house including taking down brick walls, taking up tiled floors and breaking up concrete. I've looked after it and it's never let me down. Unfortunately some low life broke in to my garage and stole it along with a few other items. Consequently I've now brought another one.

An big upgrade for me after using other mid priced Bosch Blue combo.A better build quality and certainly heavier than my old drill.for the work I do there is more than enough power and torque for flat bits and masonry work.I was going for the 80 version but found this one at Howe's, glad I did a search.

I had a similar SDS drill that I used heavely for ober 10 years and it was very tough and reliable.Unfortunateley, it came near its natural end...I bought a new version of the same tool and I hope it will be as good and durable as its predecessor. 😁

I have used bosch all my working life and have never had an issue, and this tool is no different. It has great balance and is lighter and more powerful than its predecessor the (GSB 18 ve-2-li). Now in all honestly i am a bit of a fan boy, but with that being said bosch has never giving me a reson to go anwhere else.

After using a much cheaper (but far heavier) Titan for several years, I decided to get a lighter SDS drill. The Bosch though less powerful managed to effortlessly drill bricks and concrete. I have not yet tried any chiselling. Happy with my purchase and very impressed with the speed of delivery.

A beast of a machine that is power rated adequately to my needs as a keen diyer. Be aware that it is not fitted with a quick-change chuck, but takes an inserted rotary chuck with an SDS fitting if you wish to use it for wood drilling using none-sds bits. Shop around for these; I picked up the 'heavy duty' bosch keyless chuck for c. £30, and in conjunction with this drill it is excellent.The supplied box is capacious and opens to 90 degrees, but that is not a problem and the hinge can be adapted to open flat if so minded.The power cord has really good length, which is a bonus.The bosch site for extending the warranty to 3 years was a bit of a faff to use, but the warranty was extended providing extra peace of mind.The balance of the machine might be slightly nose ... MoreA beast of a machine that is power rated adequately to my needs as a keen diyer. The machine has a reassuring heft.

An excellent, powerful and professional drill for trade or diy

I had the older predecessor to this drill which I brought over 13 years ago and the motor finally gave up after many years of hard labour. I actually wanted to buy the same again it was that good but sadly it was discontinued some time ago. After speaking to bosch they recommended this drill as a replacement for my old one, so I dived in and brought it. I didn't buy the batteries and charger as I had these from my last drill and there all compatible. This drill is much more compact thwack my old one which is great for tight spaces. The metal chuck is so much better than the plastic ones. The work light like my old one is on the top of the battety housing which is perfect as it lights the drill area perfectly. The drill has loads of features, anti kick back, electronic break, 20+ torque settings, drill, hammer, driver settings, forward and reverse and very well made. (it is bosch what do you expect) There is an optional Bluetooth module you can add, I think it may be for tracking your drill bit I'm not sure as I didn't need this option. Ss an electrician I would recommend this as a decent quality trade drill without hesitation, and as I'm a keen DIY guy it's more than capable of handling everything you'll ever throw at it. If you want a drill, invest in a good one, theylast longer and do the job better. So here is the full you need..... Go get one!

We have been using Bosch cordless drills etc for many years now in quite an hostile industrial environment and find that they perform well and last a good few years before needing replacing.
