So far so brilliant. We don't have a lot of room in our kitchen, we had enough room for our very first induction hob, which of course had to be a Bosch. It has served us very well, but a little while ago, a very heavy metal itemonto one corner at the same end as the touch controls. This caused avery nasty crack across the corner. As a result of this, it occasionally turned itself in a locked condition.Hence, we decided that it was time for an updateThis new one is slightly deeper and required some extra work to install. Not a great problem though. This one has already proved itself excellent and just what we needed. We have also purchased a magnetic protector for the top.Yet another reliable Bosch product as proved by our last one.

Can only use two rings!

Lovely the appearance of this model BUT its a 4 ring hob and you can only use 2 rings at most at one time. How can you sell a 4 ring hob that limited to 2 rings in use. This is not fit for purpose. More than disappointed! Retailser not willing to swap this for a Hobb that that doesn't fit purpose for ane that you can use the full 4 rings. Have always used Bosch products and these have always worked as you expect. What do I do now?

Great budget hob

We have recently moved house, the exiting hob was gas and as we were used to an induction hob we thought we'd change. The John Lewis adviser was very helpful and explained the functions of the particularly relevant to the fact it had a plug and didn't need it's own supply like our old NEFF hob. This was good as it meant there was no significant work to fit it.We have been very pleased when using it, it seems faster than our previous induction hob now 5 years old. It doesn't very all the functions of our old hob but for the price and ease of fitting a great hob all in all, we'll recommended.

Great to have an induction hob again
24 February 2024

We had a Bosch induction hob in a previous house and when we moved into our current house we were back to a gas hob. This worked fine - but the constant dismantling to clean it was such a pain! Our new Bosch induction hob is a pleasure. The rings are fast to heat and cool and, what's more - so easy to clean - just a wipe over with a damp cloth.Regarding fitting - the dimensions given for the space needed for fitting are accurate. We needed to trim away some of our work surface to fit the hob in.

Noisy and disappointing
28 March 2024

I wish I'd seen some of these comments about the power issue but I guess we all purchased at the same time. It's so disappointing that you can only use a certain level of power which means you can use 2 rings at medium power. Or one high and one low power. It's ridiculous. It makes it pointless if you want to cook any kind of meal aside from one pot meals.I thought I had read that you can hardwire it to overcome the issue. I asked an electrician but he said the hob isn't set up that way. It would require a lot of work and a new cable. On the plus side, as I had a ceramic hob previously, this one is an improvement in terms of speed of heating pans, boiling water, etc.I haven't figured out how to turn the noisy bleeps off. So loud.

Review of Bosch PWP611BB5B Series 4 60cm 4 Zone Induction Hob with CombiZone
19 April 2024

Moving house & being able after 30+ years of 'cooking on gas', I was delighted to have a kitchen with an induction hob installed. However, it was a cheap 'no name' & I felt I deserved something trusted! My daughter, who lives close by had a new kitchen recently, & has this very same hob! I was very impressed by the 'Boost' function - a full 2 litre kettle takes less than 2 minutes to boil! Perfect for my 1st cuppa in the morning! Then there is the 'CombiZone' - ideal for making gravy in a large roasting dish for a family Sunday lunch!Another plus, induction is so clean, & if you have a spill, cleaning the hob takes no time at all!Thank you, Bosch!

Review of Bosch: PWP611BB5B | Induction Hob in Black
21 May 2024

Brilliant induction hob, that is easy to use and is intuitive to operate. Heats up really quickly, and has a level of heat control that is analogous to a gas hob. On the left-hand side there are two square induction areas that can easily be linked together to provide a rectangular cooking zone, and on the right-hand side there is a small circular zone at the back, and a larger circular zone at the front.Installation was straightforward.

Solid performer but one big quibble
21 March 2024

This is a good hob, it does what you want it to do. A nice feature is the ability to turn beeps on and off, my old one beeped incessantly. The one issue I do find with this model though is its shrill protests whenever the controls get wet. I suppose it's a clever feature to beep when the touch controls get wet as apparently it can damage them, although my previous hob was fine for years until I dropped a jar of olives on the glass. The manufacturer perhaps doesn't appreciate that when cooking people usually have wet hands from chopping veg and filling pans etc. it's infuriating when the hob beeps and refuses to operate until I've dried the buttons!

Very happy with this hob so far
5 October 2024

I'm reviewing this after a couple of months usage, so I don't yet have any long-term experience. Nevertheless, I am very happy with it so far. I tested all the shapes and sizes of the rings individually and they work fine. However, mostly I am just using one or two rings, for steaming veg or stir-frying etc. The controls are simple and fairly responsive (I have not used anything complex like timers).I chose this 13A hob to replace an existing gas hob, where I don't have a suitable high amp circuit - but I was happy to accept the limitations. I also opted for the John Lewis installation service which was very efficient and professional and needed their experience to trim a fraction off the worktop inset to fit the new hob.
