When the existing SMEG dishwasher at our current home failed again, I went to The Good Guys to look at another Bosch unit in the review, and a very helpful person pointed out that it was made in Turkey and many customers passed it over for this German made model. The one made in Turkey felt light and flimsy, and did not have a cutlery drawer. This unit feels very solid but is very easy to use. The other morning, my wife said it was not working when she started it as it had a message displayed to refill the rinse aid dispenser and she could not hear it running. When she returned to the kitchen, she noticed the timer display was countind down so it was in fact running. We have only used it on the 60 minute program so far and taht does all we need it to do.

It seems to be a well made machine however im not overly impressed with the cleaning performance and my dishes always smell after a wash. Previous dishwasher was a Miele. This Bosch unit is the BEST dishwasher we have owned. And good value for money too. Very happy with build quality, design and performance (most impressed with effectiveness of drying). Would prefer front panel to provide more tactile or haptic feedback, but this is a minor quibble. Linking unit to wifi worked well, but I'm still not sure of any real benefits in doing so. Sure, you can see what stage of the cycle the unit is at, and it gives you reminders when rinse aid is low, and when you need to set the dishwasher to do a clean cycle, but this IoT ability still seems like a gimmick to me. You can also remotely start the dishwasher, but pointless as you still need to be there anyway to add the powder/tablet.

The way it's made is an improvement on other dishwashers I've had - and the cutlery options (rack or basket) are better than one option. I didn't think I would use the Home Connect App but installed it anyway & it's good if just for the alerts on levels etc. It makes the other dishwashers I've had (all of which I've manged to break lol) seem flimsy now. The connection instructions if you're installing yourself are not great - it's actually a really simple connection - but the way it is well packaged to avoid any damage in transit was initially a bit confusing. Very simple once googled though & fail safe. Seriously do yourself a favour and buy this dishwasher. I am so happy with the way the dishes come out clean AND totally dry. This dishwasher has so many useful features and here are my favourites. There is a 3rd rack at the top for cutlety and larger utensils, it is amazing. The next rack down is adjustable and has great features to hold stemmed wine glasses securely. This rack is also height adjustable as well. The bottom rack has a normal cutlery basket that can be positioned pretty much anywhere on the lower rack or in fact removed so that you have more room for larger items. Due to the clever design of the cutlery basket the bottom rack has the guides so plates can be stacked anywhere on the bottom rack. After using our previous Bosch dishwasher for about 15 years we have decided to replace it. Having such a great with previous unit which has never experience any problems we have reviewed available models and decided that this model will be perfect for us. Replacement was very easy and we have started using new device. It is great improvement. Unit is extremely quiet, much more eco friendly, can be controlled from phone or tablet, looks great. Home Connect application allows full control and customisation, provides access to great tips, has plenty of additional information. We are very, very happy with our choice. We are looking for another 15 years of great experience. Bosch appliances are simply the best.
Been using our new Bosch dishwasher for about 2 weeks now and it's a marriage saver. Our main programs wash has being the 1hr eco wash and auto for tougher wash. This machine, does a really good job at cleaning, my dishes are sparkling clean for once. It's quiet, stacking and putting away dishes seems so much easier than my old dishwasher (different make). The only issues I would say I find slightly difficult is turning the machine on as the dishwasher has a digital screen, sometimes it take a few pushes to register and the other is the top part of the dishwasher slightly bulky, sticks out I ended up stabbing a knife and scratching my new appliance on first day one of the saddest day of my life. This Series 6 dishwasher, you hardly even realise it's on! I sometimes put my ear up next to it to hear if it is going because it is that quiet. I love the three draws especially the draw at the top where I place my cutlery and smaller items. By using the top draw for your cutlery this then give you so much more space in the bottom draw to load up your larger items.
