First impressions - it looks great! I was super excited to see the accessories, mainly the flexible hose and replaceable battery, what great ideas. The flexible hose works great
and allows you to get into tight spots on the couch and chairs, but also other areas of the house (think carrying machine with flexible hose and getting dust webs –
anywhere!). However, the battery must be in the machine to charge - a separate battery charger would be ideal and a recommendation to make. This would make charging
and storing a breeze. One other key benefit is the ability to have a 90-degree bend in the main hose - this is such a great idea meaning I don't need to move or li... Show more

The Unlimited 7 ProAnimal BCS71PETAU is an absolute godsend to my household. My previous vacuum was also cordless however I was never able to complete my whole house in a single charge, however my new Bosch does this without needing to use the handy second battery pack. This vacuum has various power settings, I find the turbo is only best for mega messes as the suction is quite strong and hard to push over the entire carpet. I generally use eco and auto settings which is more that sufficient to get the job done. I love that the head is fitted with LED lights which easily shows up any sections that have been missed or need extra attention, whilst also being able to bend the arm 90 degrees to get under all the furniture. My almost 1 year old loves crawling behind and chasing the bright lights of the vacuum, which helps make chores a little more fun. I have also found the vacuum to be much quieter than others which means I can get vacuuming whilst the kids are sleeping without concern of waking them up. The Unlimited 7 ProAnimal BCS71PETAU comes with so many extra accessories with various purposes, I don't thing there is anything it can't vacuum. My house has various floor coverings - tile, carpet tile, timber flooring, carpet and rugs and the auto setting adjusted easily to each floor type without the need of adjusting yourself. I love that you don't need to hold a power button on, its just push and go without hand cramps. I was curious how this vacuum would compare to my previous vacuum so I put it to the test. I vacuumed the lounge room with the old one, and then did a once over with the Unlimited 7 ProAnimal and it was amazing how much extra the Bosch managed to pick up. I like that this vacuum is wall mounted which keeps everything clean and tidy with other nozzles/attachments clipped to the wall mount. The second battery is a little awkward as it has no way to charge without being plugged in to the vacuum itself so you would either need to be organised with charging this or purchase a secondary charger however as previously mentioned I am yet to need it. 10/10!... As well the ease of bending the pipe unit up to a 90 degrees angle preventing the need to move furniture out of the way to allow access. The ease and smoothness of transitioning between carpets to floor boards was assisted by a felt strip on the head preventing the possibility of scratches on the floor boards. I was shocked and a little horrified to see how much ‘dust’ was collected from an area that I thought was fairly clean. I had believed that my previous battery vacuum cleaner was pretty good, but this Bosch appliance was so far superior that it put the other one to shame. With the soft long flexible nozzle I was able to clean behind the television cabinet, moving easily around and between the cords without being concerned about damaging the wall with a hard accessory. The same benefits when cleaning behind the couch as well as reaching up to the ceiling to suck up cobwebs hanging. Soft nozzle meant not being concerned about taking chips or knocking into walls and ceilings. Using the animal mini power brush I cleaned up our puppy’s bedding and you can see the hair disappearing in seconds. I also used this accessory to clean up a carpet square where Pups likes to laze about, and as the saying goes ‘Absolutely Fabulous’. Additional bonuses are the 10 year motor warranty, bagless - no ongoing costs; ease of emptying; ergonomic aspects - light weight, ease of action. Fantastic product, very highly highly recommended... I'm not sure why other brands don't copy this feature... The main functions of the machine work great and we find the eco mode is perfect for our hard floors, the turbo mode perfect for 'general' carpet. We do however have a shag pile carpet rug - the head and turbo mode do not appear to gather as much pet hair and dirt as our previous machine. We vacuumed with this machine, then again with the previous - there was more dirt collected. This is the only major disappointment in an otherwise fantastic machine (I can deal with battery charging). Overall, I would recommend this machine. It works brilliantly and has great accessories; it is not however without a (few?) shortcomings. But what machines aren't? This has replaced our previous machine, without doubt!... Show more

Great Suction, Attachments take work
17 March 2023
Unboxing and assembling this vacuum was very easy, and looks great hanging on wall (wall mount also easy to install). The LEDs feature for dust identification works well, and the unit is very flexible thanks to its inverse goose-neck feature.Works well on flat surfaces, however if vacuuming uneven surfaces (e.g. in car), you need to use the variety of attachments to get best results. This lack of a 'one size fits all' attachment can be frustrating if in a hurry, but it certainly gives you a great result by switching between them and well worth it.The main head has great auto-suction/speed control on the brush, although due to wide edges cannot vacuum right up to walls (~1-2cm gap). Other attachments are great and versatile, with animal hair brush and flexible tubing a great combination for easily brushing down a couch, car, or cushion for dog hair.I put the vacuum through it's paces when I accidentally spilt a packet of sesame seeds all over my kitchen floor. It was able to suck them all up efficiently without 'flicking' them around, and didn't need multiple passes. A+!After emptying dust bin 2-3 times, it seems a little loose (has 'sideways play' in it). This translates to entire arm/unit having lateral movement, similar to competitor models of similar design (nozzle only attached to handle via dust bin).Would like to have ability to charge batteries without using the vacuum as the 'charger', e.g. plug battery into AC Cord directly.Overall, a very good product and does everything well. A couple of refinements as mentioned above would make this unit irreplaceable.... Show more

Great Vacuum for household with pets
22 March 2023
The Bosch Unlimited 7 ProAnimal is a great vacuum for our household of 3 humans and 3 furry friends. Both our hard and soft surfaces came up super clean and it does make the chore of vacuuming a breeze. The vacuum comes with a large range of accessories that allow not only floor and carpet cleaning but soft furnishings, chairs and dog beds. The flexible hose attachment is ideal for cleaning sofas/chairs/dog beds and all other surfaces which require the flexibility of a manoeuvrable hose. I loved the long attachment which allows me to get behind my washing machine and dryer which I previously could not get to with my old vacuum. I have never had a vacuum with an LED light on the power head and I was really surprised at the amount of hair and dust that actually sit on my floors. The light is great for picking all this up and ensuring no hair is left behind. The built in bend feature which I thought was a great idea allowed me to reach all those hard-to-reach areas such as under the lounge or table which my existing hand held vacuum didn’t allow me to easily access. The Battery life is great, but when using the vacuum on the Turbo mode the batter only lasted approximately 15 minutes. I found the Turbo mode too strong for my rugs but really great on carpet. For my hard floors the auto mode was sufficient and cleaned them really thoroughly. It would have been beneficial to have had another charging port for the other battery so that you could charge both batteries at the same time. All my dog and cat hair was picked up with ease and the head has shown no signs of any hair tangling or restrictions of the brush movement as I have found with other brands of vacuums. The vacuum is very lightweight, easy to manoeuvre and use and much quieter than I anticipated. Emptying the vacuum, was a little tricky and I found the instruction book a bit overwhelming. I eventually figured out that you need to sit the pieces when emptying, and with the dust collection part not being able to sit upright without support I found this a little difficult to manoeuvre. The dust collection compartment I felt was a little too small for the size of the vacuum and filled up very quickly hence the need to empty more often than my current vacuum. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the light weight construction of the vacuum and with the ease that it glided on my floors. The suction is excellent and I would definitely recommend this vacuum to others.... Show more

Trust me dog fur goes everywhere this is a genius tool!A powerful vacuum is one thing but if it can’t go the distance what good is it? Thankfully; Bosch thought this through and included two 3ah 18v batteries. This means that you can clean your entire home without worrying about running out of power. Better yet the batteries included are part of Bosch’s Power for All brand which can be used to power a wide range of cordless power tools as well.Speaking of batteries here is one area that clearly not a lot of thought was put into, charging the things! No external charger is included with this model therefore you’re stuck charging one battery at a time with it attached to the vacuum itself. Not to mention charging this way is also super slow. Would have liked to see an included external charger so that one battery can always be on charge while the other is attached to the vacuum.Back to the positives; the included small motorised head is a game changer for cleaning lounges and even your car, it can also be attached to the end of the vac and used for cleaning and tight spots where the larger head can’t get into.... I’m rather impressed with the Bosch Unlimited ProAnimal stick vacuum. Providing two batteries is fantastic, however you can only charge the battery when it is connected to the vacuum. I have a Bosch drill, so I can overcome this easily by utilising the drill charger to charge the spare battery; the convenience of having multiple appliances from the one brand. I have a Golden Retriever that puts any vacuum to test due to the amount of fur and dander. The main attachment works well on the floorboards and has strong suction. At first I thought that the led lights were a bit gimmicky, but I really like them as they light the floor ahead really well and can assist you to spot the fur. It seems that they really thought about maximising the ways in which you can use this vacuum. I’ve tried the release to angle the arm and get under furniture, but I’m not sure if I would routinely use this function. Emptying the vacuum isn’t as easy as it could be. You need to use the eject button to remove the canister. Cleaning the filter seems very easy and I like that it provides access to clean all components. Battery life so far seems good and it is easy to switch over to the spare. I can see that this vacuum will serve me well given the balance of features that I like and those that seem a bit odd (not providing a separate battery charger and emptying the canister).... The instructions are more comical than helpful but people of at least average intelligence will, I am sure, figure out what to do with the numerous attachments. We loved the fact that this cordless cleaner comes with two rechargeable batteries but we're a little disappointed that there was no separate charging facility: one has to connect the depleted battery to the cleaner in order to plug in and charge, which rather defeats the purpose of having two batteries. Auto senses when one changes from one surface (e.g. carpet) to another (e.g. floorboards) and we found that very useful in our household with its different surfaces. We found that using the turbo function quickly depleted the battery but its suction power was incredible. You could really feel it sucking! In fact we were horrified by the stuff that this cleaner sucked up from floors which our previous vacuum had already cleaned! The flexible rubber wand was fabulous at cleaning out grooves such as are present with sliding doors and windows plus other hard to reach gaps. The elbow bend was likewise fantastic at capturing the dust bunnies that seem to breed under beds. In addition, the reach was perfect for our 3 metre high ceilings and that pesky spider's web is no more! Overall, we can recommend this Unlimited 7 ProAnimal BCS71PETAU for those, like us, with furbabies. Suck it and see for yourself! I doubt you will be disappointed.... Show more

The auto mode feature allows for no swapping of vacuum heads between the tiles and carpets, as it automatically detects and adjusts the head between carpet and hard surfaces and effortlessly sucks up dust and dog hairs. I noticed that using the low setting on hard surfaces the battery life is extended as opposed to the turbo mode. Optimal battery life on carpet is to use the auto mode. Having two batteries is a great idea in terms of replacing a flat battery with a charged battery. I also noticed the battery setup also allows for the supplied batteries to be used with other range of Bosch products from hardware tools to garden tools. Cons: The first drawback is that there is no way to charge both batteries simultaneously, and it is impossible to charge the spare battery without connecting it to the vacuum unless you have a standalone separate charging dock. The second drawback is the battery overheating during operation. I have found when using the vacuum, the battery can overheat when in use, and as such the vacuum needs to power down to allow for cooling. I understand the logic, however, it is most inconvenient for the operator. The waste container is small and quickly can fill up. If you are vacuuming a large house, you will have to continuously empty this until you finish. Verdict: Overall, the Bosch Unlimited 7 Pro Animal has proven to be a powerful vacuum that is both manoeuvrable and efficient in cleaning both our carpeted and hard floors in removing my 2 dogs’ shedding hair easily without fuss.... You can FEEL the quality!
11 April 2023
The fact that this vacuum is German-made and comes with a 10 year warranty on the motor is what got me across the line. The very first thing I noticed about this vacuum is how it glides across hard floors - smooth like no other vacuum I’ve ever used, you can actually feel the quality. It’s also very quiet compared to other cordless vacuums I’ve used in the past; surprising, considering the impressive suction.Great suction also with a partially charged battery (I was impatient when it first arrived).I love the auto feature, as it saves battery life, by automatically switching to turbo mode only when needed. It does this almost immediately when moving onto a different surface type. It means that if you want to do a truly quick vacuum, you can, because you don’t need to pull chairs and stools etc. out, you just hit the button and get under there - magnificent!I chose this model over the Unlimited 7 ProPower (BCS712FCAU) as it comes with a miniature head and two batteries. I didn’t realise that it didn’t come with a separate battery charger as with the aforementioned model. This has proved frustrating, as wall-mounting the unit is not something I can do confidently and will need to get an Electrician out to do that and install a power point nearby. I have looked on the Bosch website and wasn’t able to find a battery charger for sale; hopefully these will be available for purchase soon. The vacuum itself is the charging unit, meaning you can’t charge the spare battery without a separate charger. The only other thing that bothered me about this unit was the inclusion of the silver finish around the power button. I have gotten more than a few static shocks when vacuuming because of this. It looks nice, but isn’t very practical.... Show more
