What you don't want when buying an expensive appliance is bringing it home and it not working as you thought it would. This washing machine is awesome- the dial and controls are really easy to use. I've read previous reviews about people complaining about the beep at the end of cycle- just read the manual and it shows you step by step how to turn the beeps on/off/louder/quieter!The only negative is its not as quiet as you imagine it to be. In saying that, it is very quiet- it's just when water is filling up the machine, or the spin cycle is going, that you hear noise, but I think that's the case with any washing machine. Otherwise it is Very quiet during the cycle. So if I have time to spare I choose Eco.Also uses less laundry liquid than my previous smaller front loader- clothes smell fresh and clean even though there is less detergent. Water is connected to cold water tap only and the machine heats up the water to your desired temp- quite good if you are having a shower at the same time as you don't get the cold water shock!Overall totally happy and would recommend to others. Best Washing Machine I've Owned

Without a doubt the best washing machine I've owned. This is my first front loading machine and I wasn't sure what to expect. I don't mind the longer wash times so that hasn't been much of a problem for me. I've had it for almost a month now and am inpressed by how quiet it is, and at how clean most of my clothes come out. The only things I've been dissapointed by are towels and terry towelling material. They do not seem to come out quite as soft and 'fluffy' as they have in previous machines. I've tried with and without fabric softner, on various settings and multple detergents; they all seem crispy and more haggered looking. Otherwise a great machine and much better for the environment!

I purchased the Bosch after reading so many positive reviews on this website and elsewhere. It is mostly everything the reviews claim. Super easy to use, it has cycles for every condition, you can add clothes in if you've forgotten and has a water sensor. The machine is quite quiet but not super quiet - reviews stated that you can't tell it's even running which isn't entirely true. You can hear the spin cycle. Sure, it isn't clunking and rattling the whole house like my last Russian tank of a machine did, but hear it lightly in the background you can. The other incongruency is that clothes do not come out of the machine almost dry (which is what I read). This point was particularly disappointing as I was hoping for a delightfully fabulous improvement on drying time ... MoreI purchased the Bosch after reading so many positive reviews on this website and elsewhere. The energy/water ratings are great, price is great, the delivery and service from this website was phenomenal and at the end of the day, if you're looking for a new, affordable, energy conscious machine, this is a good buy.

Great machine

Great machine - it has served us well. Love the heating element and energy efficiency. The machine is simple to use with plenty of functions as well as well capable to cope with daily use from a busy family of six.The only downside is the filter access - a hair pin got stuck and was a bit of a challenge to remove the filter - as well was pretty messy. Also make sure you clean the seal after each use and leave the door ajar when not in use to avoid damp smells.

My best appliance

Okay so first off, I tried to upload a picture of this magnificent machine and my well written review disappeared. So I'll try my best to rewrite what I had said. I started off by advising that the previous washing machine at my house was sub par (definitely not a Bosch). It left marks and lint on all my clothing, I never felt as if my clothes were clean, and sometimes I would have to run the wash a second time. I was looking to purchase a washing machine as the one at the house was leaving with my flatmate. I didn't know much initially and thought most washing machines were similar. I was wrong. I happened to hear good reviews from friends about Bosch washing machines. That they only make front loaders as top loaders are never as good, and that other brands fail to make good quality machines and they end up breaking and falling apart, as well as not giving your clothes a quality wash. I love that the Bosch has a 4.5 star water rating and a 4 star energy rating as water and energy efficiency is important. It only used the cold water outlet and will heat the water inside the machine. You can also change the temperature you want the wash to be before you put a load on. The Bosch washing machine has a multitude of different functions and features depending on what type of wash you are doing, and you can change the settings for the optimal wash each time. My clothes come out perfectly each wash and I'm so glad I chose the Bosch. I also love the design and am always telling people how pretty it is haha.

Nice looking, washes clothes

I am a reluctant convert to front loader machines but had to buy one due to our laundry renovation. We had limited space and budget restrictions so ended up with this machine. It cleans the clothes ok but has a couple of irritating features (beyond the fact that front loaders are SO high maintenance). It doesn't switch off automatically at the end of the cycle - it keeps beeping, eventually stopping but the power switch continues to flash until you manually turn the dial to Off. I find this annoying. It also doesn't have a decent cold water cycle other than for delicates and wool - plenty of other cycles but none of a decent length that allows for auto cold wash. You can set it to cold manually, but again, I would have thought an easy care cycle on cold would be ... MoreI am a reluctant convert to front loader machines but had to buy one due to our laundry renovation. I miss my top loader though. However, Appliances Online again delivered amazingly high standard and friendly service - can't fault them!

Quiet, reliable works as expected
18 May 2021

Bought this almost 3 years ago and hasn't missed a beat. A great washer. No complaints at all. nice to my clothes, super quiet, lots of cycles and options. especially like the quick and super quick wash cycles as not everything needs to be washed for longer cycles. Learning how to use the cycles and touch panel isn't the most straight forward, but I've kept the sheet that explains this in plastic sheet protector on top of the machine to help me decide what I might do for special loads.Only downside; the soap loading drawer doesn't drain completely after a load. I remove it and drain the water to ensure my machine doesn't start to grow mould. Not a big factor and I think you'd find this with most front loaders.

Really quiet, washes well.

I'm very happy with how this machine washes so far. It doesn't seem to use much water, yet things come out clean. The ability to pause the machine to add forgotten items is handy. And the machine is so silent. The noisiest part is the water going into the machine, which isn't the machine at all, that's how quiet it is. And it is incredibly still when spinning even on the fasted spin. However there are a couple of annoying things as well. The electrical cord is stupidly short as it comes from way down the bottom of the machine. So even though the powerpoint is right there above the machine, I need an extension cord for it!! The electrical cord is stupidly short as it comes from way down the bottom of the machine. So even though the powerpoint is right there above the machine, I need an extension cord for it!! This is a crazy oversight on behalf of Bosch. There are a lot of washing programmes to choose from, it would be simpler if there weren't as many, but I knew this when I bought it and now pretty much stick to a few favourites. I do like the fact that it has a separate spin, and it's one of the reasons I chose this machine, as some machines don't have a spin only. If I don't crouch down when choosing the wash programme, I get parallax error and accidentally put it on the wrong programme. But the most annoying thing is that I cannot set it up to a default I like. So, as I always wash with cold water, each time I use the machine, I have to run through all the temperatures until I get to cold. Then I have to run through the spin speeds until I get to the one I use. Then I have to run through whether I want eco, normal or fast wash. I should be able to set it to what I like and have it stay that way instead of pressing numerous buttons numerous times each time I want to wash. I have checked the manual and there doesn't seem to be a way to do this.It says it's 7.5kg, but most wash programmes are for much less than this, though probably all washing machines are the same in this regard.Overall though, apart from the couple of annoying things, I am happy with the machine and the really important things, ie quietness, not dancing around the floor, washing ability, build quality are all excellent.

Simple and quiet
9 September 2021

If you are after good bang for your buck, here it is. The is an awesome machine. Nice and quiet. Lots of programs, ranging from 30 minutes up. Can pause and open the door if you have forgotten something. I find it very quiet compared to the old machine.Does need liquid detergent (I did dissolve power before adding it and worked a treat) and the power cable is short, but that's it on the negatives.Bosch is a great brand, friends of mine have the same machine (which is what swung me to this one) and have not had any problems at all. Only needs cold water inlet, as the machine heats the water. So happy with the machine and even happier with the ease of purchase, delivery and removal of my old machine. Will be looking here again for my next appliance/whitegoods purchase.
