So I’ve owned Bose Soundsport and Bose noise-cancelling headphones for several years now and have absolutely loved them. Of course wouldn’t you know it, but here I am on vacation again and now the right one this time won’t charge and the earbuds won’t work at all. Of course none of the recommended troubleshooting techniques work (shocker) and I’m again stuck with dead earbuds while I’m out of town. I suppose when I get home I’ll see if I can return or maybe exchange them, but either way these earbuds have been nothing but a hassle since I bought them and I really don’t know if I can ever trust Bose enough to buy one of their products again.Based on some of the reviews on here other people have experienced this issue and perhaps Bose should look into why it’s happening this often.

This product can be great, but it decides to be par at best. The ANC is excellent, except when they're a strong wind, the wind causes the function ability to lose its stability since it's trying to accommodate for the sound of the wind. The silicon cover comes off fairly quickly. It does not have friction to keep it attached to the top part of the lid. It can be better. The blue tooth connectivity, great during the first few months but then it decides to cut off or entirely not auto-connect when needed be. The most app is great but the frequent reconnection is a hassle. I like it to connect the right way once I plug them in my ear without taking my phone out to reconnect to my blue tooth.I like my body product but for some reason, this model is underwhelming. ... I'm okay for now with not having wireless charging capability but if your product is meant to be a blue tooth earbud, it shouldn't take 5 minutes to reconnect every time I need to use it. The drop calls isn't great either, also, fun fact I lost connection while writing this review. Went from 3 to 2.5, please be better!!

I rarely write reviews, and try not to do so with emotion. I will say I have really been disappointed with this product, and later with support. The good I can say of this product is that the noise cancelling is impressive. I work online, and I consistently have clients who cannot hear me well with this product, but can hear me perfectly on cheap sets (non bose headphones). Furthermore, there is a buzz in the headphones, that also existed in the previous set (as I had one set returned). I would not suggest this for phone calls. I also purchased these for working in the shop... anytime there is a sudden sound (saw blade, etc) there is a strong noise the headphones create (which I assume is it trying to balance the outside sound) but it is more piercing then the shop ... I would not suggest these for anything more than drowning out some background noise and listening to music.I won't go into detail, but had difficulty getting through to Bose, then never received a call back from a manager. They have a policy to only replace headphones, and so my concern is with the product itself, I'm not happy with just receiving the third set that is supposedly in the mail. I believe this may be an issue with the noise cancelling element. Also to be fair, 2 out of the 5 customer service people were helpful, although supervisors didn't follow through.Good luck Bose.

Pros: Double tap right bud to pause -- like the Gen 2 Apple AirPods; Slide on outside of right bud to control volume; Good ear fit. These three features are very important to me, so I really enjoy these ear buds.Cons: You need to download and install the Bose Music app to control the level of noise cancellation. This is a nuisance. You can connect them to a device that doesn't have this app, but you can't then check the state of noise cancellation. Once you have a good feel for the noise cancellation state, you can change it by tapping the left bud. But, if you don't have a good feel for how each state sounds, you need the Bose Music app. The audio is quite good, but not fabulous.Overall: I use these instead of the four sets of Apple AirPods that I have. None of my Apple AirPods have volume control on the ear buds, so it's a real pain to change the volume level, and the newer AirPods require squeezing the shaft to pause/resume play. This is very difficult when your gloved hands are dirty, greasy or paint-splattered, whereas the double-tap that these Bose ear buds use (as did the second generation Apple Air Pods) works very nicely. And the battery life is great.
Purchased last month for noise cancellation and better comfort than my wrap-around regular earbuds, which press uncomfortably on ear canal when wearing more than a short time and lacked noise cancelation. The Bose QC Earbuds design effectively stay in with soft, flexible wings that comfortably hold in the ear. Bose gives you three wing sizes to find the best fit. This design is made for those that want a comfortable earbud that stays in. Additionally, they are more comfortable than my traditional, wrap around earbuds because the earbuds have an open umbrella shape and rest on the ear canal instead of narrower and resting inside the ear canal. That makes them much more comfortable than traditional wrap around ones for anything longer than short periods. The Bose QC ... That makes them much more comfortable than traditional wrap around ones for anything longer than short periods. The Bose QC Earbuds have very well-designed features as well. You can select four listening styles that match your listening and environment, like Music, Walking, and Quiet as well as selecting how much noise canceling you want with each. Quiet, of course, gives maximum NC, but others can be personalized to your preferences. The Aware setting is particularly impressive and amazing by allowing awareness, as the name says, of your surroundings, yet increasing the NC whenever intrusive noises arise and increase to moderate those, giving you a more stable volume in dynamic sound environments.I tested these settings on a jet flight days ago. Engine noise dramatically reduced with the Quiet mode. The Aware mode moderated the engine and other background noise as passengers boarded, yet allowed the flight attendant to be heard clearly giving the safety instructions. Amazing that Bose design can allow voices to come through while still cutting background sound.Of course, the sound lives up to Bose high standards along with the case and the way the buds fit as the buds drop securely in place for storage and charging. In summary, Bose designed one of the best, if not the best, earbuds for versatile, intuitive noise canceling, comfort, and great sound. Beyond that, those who want earbuds that stay in place as well will be hard pressed to find better earbuds. Bravo Bose!
At the time of writing this the plan is to return these. There are two options for noise cancelling earbuds at this price point and frankly for $279 ($200 on sale) these are not worth the price because of bugs and issues.Main issuesConnectivity - not only is the range sub par to my OLD previous gen sound sports but it's not even remotely convenient to switch devices with these.Touch controls - cool concept but needs to be taken a step further. This happens randomly and still occurs when touch is disabled.- randomly prompts voice assistant. You can disable this which seems to take care of it but basically makes the feature useless.- randomly adjusts sound levels. Same as the issue with passing. No solutions provided by Bose solve this in their guides or manuals. If the above issues were not present they would be fine but at this time not remotely worth the price tag.
Excellent audio, great bass, good fit & battery life. These buds are really good given they've been out for a while now, and there is a new-gen Bose bud to replace them. Noise cancelling is excellent! Downside is the size of the storage container which leaves a significant bulge in your pocket. This is obviously not a problem if you have a backpack, hand or man bag. They are a large bud but are quite comfortable and there are adjustment ear "wings" included. The buds are customizable to some extent via the software and using this you can add volume up /down by stroking the right bud or hold left bud to flick to the next track, etc. They say there is about 3 or 4 charges available before having to recharge the storage container and, although I have not tested it ... You get about 4 hours charge out of the buds themselves. Maybe not so good for long distance flights, but they really are good for everything else. The main upside is that they are being sold on sale at a lot of places for half of the original price. Check out YouTube for more extensive reviews!
A product I actually want to return but I couldn’t. Not because of any fault from the product. Mostly user fault.Bought these for my husband for our anniversary as his previous bluetooth headphones already ran its course (had it for 5 years) so he needed new ones.Well these ones, are indeed noise cancelling to the point where you talk to your husband for a few minutes until you realize he was actually wearing these and he didn’t actually hear you. Many a times I have had to throw a pillow at him or to give him a nudge so I can get his attention. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I tried these myself as he wanted to prove to me that they were indeed noise cancelling, and I hate that he is right. The case itself is such good quality, and charges quite a bit. He goes for long runs too ... MoreA product I actually want to return but I couldn’t. Not because of any fault from the product. I wish I just kept these for myself to use and drown out my daughter’s and my husband’s constant need to ask me where things are placed, as they have lost xyz, for the 100th time.
I have the quiet comfort 2 earbuds now, and I have had 3 other pair which all have stopped working in one way or another. So that is 4 different pair of Bose earbuds in the last 3 years. The pair that I have now "where" working great, but only just after a month or two they started having trouble either syncing with my phone or at least when they want to. So I have had to unpair the buds from Bluetooth, delete my earbuds from the app then delete the app from my phone. After all that I have to redo it all, and still I have trouble with the earbuds syncing with the app at times. So I have to repeat everything again. Having to do all that is just "absolutely" inferiorating. Now the new thing is I am having trouble with the volume, they are not as loud as they use to ... Having to do all that is just "absolutely" inferiorating. Now the new thing is I am having trouble with the volume, they are not as loud as they use to be, and it is just getting frustrating. I have contacted support, and I have done everything they suggested, but still the volume is lower than it used to be. One thing I asked for is if there was a factory reset, and of course there isn't one which I am not to happy about cause if things like this happens, and nothing else is working what is anyone to do??? I'm sure a factory reset would absolutely most likely work, but oh well. I have now decided that these are my last pair of Bose product anything that I will buy. So if I can not get the volume back up, and the sync to stop glitching. I am so sorry to say that I will never buy another Bose product again. I have always loved Bose for there amazing sound in any one of there products, it's just that I can not keep wasting any more money, and time on this product if it's just not going to work only after a little while of use. I am truly sorry that had to give a bad review, and I whished that I didn't have to cause I really, really love Bose products so much, there really is no other product of sound that can compare. But I have no choice. I hope you understand.
Although I have had this product for over a year, I only used the headphones a handful of times, as I normally opted to use my AirPods. Yesterday, I went to use this product after charging them, and the left earbud was blinking white and red. After an extensive chat with customer service and making several attempts to find a solution, customer service said the only thing I could do was to buy the new Quietcomfort II earbuds. I told them I didn't feel comfortable making this purchase, as the product proved to be unreliable the first time around. They then offered me 20% off, and eventually another 10% off of that. I again told them I wasn't comfortable spending ~$150 on a product I didn't trust. I asked if I could send in the product for a repair, but they said this ... Customer service then ended the conversation by saying "It was really a pleasure chatting with you today!" and I walked away with no solution. I am very disappointed in the product, and even more disappointed in Bose, as this is not only poor customer service, but very wasteful that their solution is to just have the consumer make another purchase and just throw a reparable item out. From a company whose CEO said, "...we're committed to achieving positive environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impact...", this does not seem like the best outcome they could have come up with.
