Powerful sound and has different ways to use in different positions or with tripod. If using at a place were can use the plug into wall cord this will work amazing. If depending on the battery this will disappoint. I have found using the speaker at 75% volume I got just a few minutes over 4 hours of use. When used at 20% volume I got over 10 hours of use. If you have the money for this consider purchasing an inverted to use power tool batteries to expand the ability to go next to wireless. With the inverter I can plug the speaker in, have it trickle charge the batteries and when the batteries connected to the inverter die then have the speaker battery available for use. Contacted Bose about the battery performance. They are well aware of the issue and will not do ... MorePowerful sound and has different ways to use in different positions or with tripod. If you must have this now then buy it before prices continue to go up, otherwise wait until Bose comes out with a better version. Don’t purchase off Bose’s website as the battery is not included and sold separately. I have always been pleased with my Bose speakers; this is the first time where Bose didn’t exceed my expectations. I also recommend the backpack and cover for this to help protect the speaker.

I would like to start saying that I'm a Bose' fan. It doesn't mean there aren't other PA systems with same or better sound quality. But as I said, I like Bose. We also have a pair of JBL PRX812 Pro speakers which we used mainly for small/medium venues. I have been using the Bose S1 Pro as a monitor for a couple of years. All of them purchased at Sweetwater. In late February, I was playing at a private party using my S1 Pro and another one I borrowed from a friend of mine. It fulfilled the expectations. Small but powerful PA. Since then, I decided to buy a second one which I did recently. Great clear sound, rugged/light construction and very versatile. Absolutely! I highly recommend the Bose S1 speaker to anyone who is looking for a high-quality and portable speaker. With its lightweight and compact design, you can take it anywhere and enjoy exceptional sound quality. The Bluetooth connectivity allows you to stream music wirelessly from your phone or tablet, making it perfect for outdoor events, parties, or even just listening to music at home. The S1 speaker is also incredibly versatile, with the ability to connect a microphone or guitar for live performances. Overall, the Bose S1 speaker is an excellent investment that will provide you with years of exceptional sound quality and versatility.
I bought the S1 Pro to use as a monitor along with my L1 Pro8. It was a rare chance to buy one on sale, so I took the bait. The sound is typical Bose, so if you like Bose, you'll like the S1. I do. I've not had a chance to play out with it, and have only used it in my studio, so this is a limited use review. I gave it 4 stars because it's pricey, and the Bluetooth app is essentially worthless. I'd actually give it 3.5 stars if that were possible. If you need to control volume and tone from an app then look elsewhere. Also, if you need a strong tight bass, you probably won't find it in a package this small. That said, for my use it's a good fit - small, good volume, and a decent quality sound.
I’ve used this half a dozen times now as a busking amp. I owned the Roland cube ex for the last three years. This is quite the upgrade. Less gimmicks ( no tuner/amp modelling) but built in long lasting battery (I’m getting at least 4-5 hours per charge at loud volume. The best feature for me is the Bluetooth connectivity. Great for streaming backing tracks without an aux lead. I’ve also used it for vocals - tone match and two band eq are very musical, as is the reverb.Compact, clever and clear. Very happy with my purchase. Great price and service from PMT Manchester as usual :)
This is my second Bose S1 Pro.One is great but a pair just takes the system to another level.Small and portable and packing quite a punch, what’s not to love. The battery power and bluetooth coupled with Tonematch presets makes this system so versatile and perfect for small to medium gigs.Sound quality is exactly what you’d expect from Bose, crystal clear, even at full volume.I used my pair of S1 Pro’s at a gig recently where a sound limiter is installed, in the past using my old system it triggered and shut me down several times which anybody who has been in a venue with a limiter will know how annoying that is, but with these babies I just carried on playing through the red and I had a room full of people with a good forty odd of them on the floor. The place ... MoreThis is my second Bose S1 Pro.One is great but a pair just takes the system to another level.Small and portable and packing quite a punch, what’s not to love. The place was rocking! It still amazes me that I managed all that on battery power. The backpack is worthy of it’s own review and is in my opinion a very worthwhile investment to go with your S1.It is made of high quality robust material and includes various pockets and pouches for storing cables and mics etc.I am now looking to add a Sub 1 bass to pair with my S1’s, 1k in the boot, superb.
By far the simplest and best sounding mini portable PA out there. For bigger gigs I bring out the BIG Bose system, but a lot of smaller things can go off with just this little beast. For more intimate private events, backyard/outdoor parties, and personal use - it packs quite a punch. And with bluetooth, you can let others take over the music (this can go either way...).It's even great for solo performers and I've had a singer/songwriter use it with an acoustic guitar/instrument mic + vocal mic and it sounded amazing for an outdoor performance.DJ parties indoors with under 50 folks? Perfect. Probably more sound than you'll ever need unless you do really large gigs. This GLOWING review is long overdue. I bought this about a year ago...it saved my butt last night purely due to its battery (not enough outlets for all my gear) - but that's the least of its features, for a solo singer-songwriter with backing tracks such as myself. It sounds KILLER - and has power to SPARE for small to medium sized gigs and the BASS is more than adequate (I've never had to turn volumes up to anywhere NEAR the midpoint (straight up) - usually about 10 o'clock is more than I need and, on the Aux channel - with the fabulous BLUETOOTH connection to my iPad with its backing tracks - I've never had to turn it above 9 o'clock (it can get seriously loud). Be sure and download the S1 app, though, to adjust EQ on the Aux channel. Weighs JUST 15 lbs. Can it ... MoreThis GLOWING review is long overdue. (I always get compliments - and the other day, at a music union-sponored event, the union President and one of his assistants told me how great my acoustic guitar sounded through it! And my rich vocals come through nicely without any fancy processing.) Had to spread the word!!!
Bose touts this as a party speaker and a PA speaker so I purchased it as a higher-end alternative to a Sony or JBL party speaker. This S1 Pro speaker is well-built, rugged, feature-rich, and really packs a really loud punch, just as a PA speaker should. If this is what you are looking for, the S1 Pro can't be beaten. However, it was lacking the richer, more-immersive stereo sound experience I used to with Bose, even with my SoundLink mini. I took a chance after reading other reviews and purchased a second S1 Pro. I paired them together and separated the Left\Right channels through the Bose Music app, and WOW, what a difference! At the end of the day, the S1 Pro is a powerful PA speaker that just begs to be turned up loud, yet lacks the sound quality that makes Bose ... MoreBose touts this as a party speaker and a PA speaker so I purchased it as a higher-end alternative to a Sony or JBL party speaker.
