Amazing earbuds. These things were just about automatic to setup and pair with my phone and Spotify. It took me a moment to figure out how to rotate them into my ears correctly, but once I got them in, the fit was tight and extremely comfortable. I have worn them a few times to the gym for 45-60 minutes at a time, and they were always comfortable (I could easily forget they were in if they weren't blasting sweet sounds to me). The bass is snappy, has good kick, but is still clean and crisp. The rest of the audio range is spot on and tight. The spacial separation is astounding. I could not be happier with these things. Audio quality is the typical V-shaped curve with highlighted lows and highs. Nothing wrong with that, these are sport earbuds and they're supposed to have an exciting sound.Microphone quality is mediocre, I don't recommend taking calls on these unless you're in a quiet room. Connectivity is fine, though I did experience some audio hiccups here and there. Bose went with a cheap Bluetooth setup with the right ear feeding the left. These should connect independently like most other $120+ earbuds do. It's fine, but it also means you can only use the right earbud by itself. Bose's solution to using just the left earbud is to take the right earbud out of the case and set it down. That's not a solution, at all.If it wasn't for the occasional Bluetooth audio blip, I would have given these a higher score. They're fine for what they are, and for the sale price. I would not pay MSRP for them and opt to find another pair of sports earbuds if you want to spend $150+. But, at their sale price, they aren't bad and their comfortable fit is still hard to beat.

I've had these for around 6 months and my wife has had them for a year or so. After a simple setup they connect immediately after being removed from their case. The sound quality is excellent and pretty well balanced without stupidly over the top bass. I use them for running, mainly distances of 5 and 10km., sometimes a bit longer. They stay in my ears well and have never fallen out. Every now and then I'll give them a slight twist to tighten the grip, but they've never actually come loose. One of the biggest advantages these have over others I've tried is that because they don't go too far into your ear canal and don't have a perfect seal, they don't create the thudding or booming sound each time your foot strikes the ground that a lot of others do. I've found other headphones unusable for running because of this, but these completely eliminate the problem. As for functionality, they connect to my Android phone and they play music (or podcasts). I occasionally will pause a track by tapping on the earpiece but that's as far as my usage goes. I don't skip tracks or change volume on my runs so I can't really comment on those factors. Battery life has been fine for the distances I run.Overall, these tick the most important boxes for me:- Secure fit- Excellent sound- No booming/thudding- Stable bluetooth connection

Great product!

These earbuds are perfect in every way for me with the exception of battery life (the earbuds having 5 hours of continuous listening time and the case having 15) and some connection issues. Sometimes, I go to connect them but only the left one connects and so I have to disconnect the earbuds and connect them again. Usually on the second try it’s set, but there have been times where it takes a couple more attempts to do so. The battery, although not the most impressive, is sufficient for my day-to-day activities, although longer battery life would be amazing to see (the case is also kinda big, bigger than the Raycon E25 Earbuds which have about 9 hours of listening time and it’s tiny!). The ear tips were very comfortable from the start and I did switch them out to try the other sizes, but the size +1 worked out great. I thought I would receive sizes 1, 2, and 3 but I instead got 0, +1, and +2. Not an issue, but I was confused at first. It took a little bit of time to get used to inserting the earbuds into my ear without accidentally triggering the touch controls, but a few days later I was a master at it :P the touch controls themselves are nothing special not impressive, but there’s some customization included in it. I have my left ear set to skip a track when double tapped (it was either skip or go back a track) and my righ ear controls play/pause with a double tap and volume with a sliding up or down on the bud. The sound is super clear, I’d even say comparable to my Bose 700 headphones. The bass was the perfect amount of beef and mids and highs are great too, orchestral music is a joy to listen to. There was a bonus for me when I got these, and that was that I was able to get a firmware update on my earbuds on the MyBose app and it added EQ settings which were not a feature previously. That just completed the product for me so yes, there’s EQ control so long as you have a MyBose account and the app and update the product.Overall, if you’re willing to deal with the connection issues (which I think should be fixed with the firmware updates that happen every once in a while) and the short battery life, do it. These are worth the money.Bose, if there was anything you could fix on these earbuds, it would be connectivity issues. The sound they deliver is amazing and I’m always eager to start listening to stuff.

I would never buy these again

I'm not one to write reviews but these earbuds are terrible. I bought them when my Bose Soundsport wireless earbuds (which i loved) died, the connection from the cord to the earbuds seemed to be the issue though from the outside, it looked fine. The soundsport weren't available in store so I took a chance, bought these and while the sound is fine, I've been disappointed in pretty much everything else. The battery life is about half of the Soundsport, I can't use the other style of ear tips with these even though I specifically asked the store rep and he told me I could, these will randomly start sliding or fall out of my ear no mater what size ear tips I have on them or how I have them in my ears. The controls are limited and finicky. I like to talk on the phone or listen to podcasts with one earbud in but only the right earbud has a microphone so to talk on the phone it needs to be with the right side which is fine until it dies. Then, when I go to use the left, sometimes it will also dead despite being in the case all day. If it does have battery, it can only be used near the OPEN case. As soon as the case closes, the left earbud shuts off. And if I go too far away from the case, like outside or to the other side of my house, the sound gets distorted and will lose the connection. I regret buying these and should have tried returning them as soon as I got home and realized I couldn't use the other ear tips but was told in the store that they couldn't be returned once opened. I figured I'd give them a chance but I'm already looking for a new pair and they won't be bose.

Missing too many features to be good!

Avoid these earbuds if you like ease of use. Going from Bose SoundSport Earbuds to these has been a huge disappointment. and downgrade. These new Sport Earbuds are missing several functions compared to older models:They can only connect to one device at a time, and it's difficult to connect to a different device if they are already turned on and connected to one device. They also don't have buttons for volume - you're supposed to be able to slide your finger up and down the side for volume control, but this barely works as intended, and more often than not activates the devices microphone. You cannot turn these off without the charging case - another failure in my opinion. During the warm months, if you don't carry a purse/bag, you'll have to cram a 3.5 inch case into your pocket if you want these to turn off and not simply sit draining battery when not in use.Trying to get these into pairing mode is also a major challenge. You basically have to take the ear buds, case, and the device you want to pair to, out of range of any other device which is already paired. If you don't, the earbuds will just connect to an existing device and won't let you enter pairing mode easily, if at all.The actual sound quality is good, standard Bose product, but holy the lack of features and non-ease of use is like taking 10 steps backward in terms of technology.

I bought these earphone specifically for the gym and because of that what I am about to say is no big deal to me, BUT it is very important to know before purchasing. They fit well in the ear, there are three different sizes to go through. Although, after wearing them for an extended period of time, when taking them out your ear can feel a little sore. All in all- great product for the gym. IF you are someone who likes the independence of connecting one earbud at a time, I would say check with another brand. One side note as well: I have an apple phone so I am unaware of how compatible this product would be with another phone.

Some improvements, more steps backwards

My previous generation Bose Sport worked great for 2 years until the rubber over the control buttons degraded. The next gen have some improvements, but also some changes that make the product actively worse:Improvements:No rubber, meaning that an otherwise functional product won't be rendered partially unusable by rubber breaking down.Smaller body looks neater in earSlightly smaller caseNew flaws:Feature to start-and-stop when removed from ear often cannot tell the difference between being in an ear vs a pocket, a closed fist, or even on a table in a dimly lit room, meaning that even if you manually pause your podcast, unless you put the earphones back in the case, you often pick them up again to find that they've been playing your podcast or audiobook for a ... MoreMy previous generation Bose Sport worked great for 2 years until the rubber over the control buttons degraded. Also, sometimes you want to put your buds back in without wanting them to resume autoplay immediately. No more triple-tap to skip backwards- only forwards. So you cannot restart or go back a song when running without opening your phone. No more tactile buttons mean you cannot operate controls while wearing gloves.Tap/swipe remote controls are patchy at best, compared to tactile, leaving you irritably swatting at your ear repeatedly while your media continues loudly playing while someone tries to talk to you.No button on buds to connect to bluetooth- can only connect via case.I don't know how, but immediately since starting to use these my phone bluetooth has become patchy; when buds have been replaced in case and disconnected from phone, I often now have to manually turn bluetooth off and on again on my phone before bluetooth will recognize other devices.New bose app no longer supports finding lost device. The sound quality, and the in-ear stability are still good.Overall, after several months to adjust, the new generation is still a frustrating downgrade for an expensive object.

Won'r connect

There are three huge problems which make these earbuds unuseable for me. I was unaware of the problems until I opened the packaging and attempted to sync them, and now I cannot return them. Beware.1. When deciding to purchase these earbuds I did research and they were supposedly an upgrade from my current Bose earbuds which have a wire connecting them together. However, they can only connect to a single device at a time. Which I have never heard of before and none of the advertising or information on this website states. I am now unable to return them because I had to open tbe package to find out. My OLD earbuds connect to multiple devices at the same time and so have every bluetooth earbuds I have ever had. They need an app to be downloaded to every device in order to work properly. I have never had to download an app before, including with my OLD earbuds, just to listen to music or talk on the phone.3. When trying to connect to more than one device and switch between the two they started glitching and repeating "ipad lost, connected to ipad, ipad lost, connected to ipad, ipad lost" etc until I turned them off.I have never been so disappointed in a product. They are so much worse than the old earbuds I had and so much more expensive.

You probably don't want to buy these

The good: The sound quality is great. They stay in my ears really well, even through high intensity workouts. The bad: Unfortunatey they are way worse than the wired version. The wired version allowed you to skip forward and backward through a playlist, it allowed you to fastforward or rewind within a song track, you could alternate sides if you only wanted to wear one earbud (the wireless version you HAVE to wear the right side if you want the microphone and you HAVE to wear the left side if you want the single shortcut they allow you to choose), the microphone was closer to your mouth for very clear conversations, and background noises were largely filtered out. This version, you can pick if you want to be able to skip forward or back, but you cannot have both. ... MoreThe good: The sound quality is great. And if you want to be able to use this shortcut, you have to have the left earbud in. You cannot fastforward or rewind in a song. If you want to talk you have to wear the right one because that is where the microphone is. The microphone is either worse or it is just due to being farther away from your mouth, but the sound clarity for the person on the other end is not good. And if there is any amount of background noise, good luck having a conversation-my parents asked me if I was in a car wash or a washing machine every time I called. All told, if you ONLY want to wear them to workout and you don't care about being able to move easily through your playlist, these are fine. Otherwise, I'd suggest trying something else, cause this ain't it.
